Harvest Beasts (収穫獣 shūkakujū) were engineered organisms created by the Shadow Angels for the sole purpose of harvesting Prana to nourish the Tree of Life during the events of Genesis of Aquarion. Harvest Beasts came in a variety of forms suited for different purposes and were always equipped with some means of subduing and capturing large numbers of human beings. Most commonly the prey would be stored inside of the harvest beast's body, whereupon the harvest beast would travel back to Atlandia and merge both itself and its catch with the Tree's structure. Some Harvest Beasts were specialized to drain Prana directly from prey, negating the need to bring living victims back to the Tree itself.
