He and the captain disagreed publicly many times. In 6 BBY, Kane led a mutiny on Typhoon and succeeded in killing the captain. The mutiny was later put down by Lieutenant Anton Marcos, and Kane was arrested. Kane is presumed to have been killed when Typhoon's self destruct was activated by Marcos.
