| - Chibiusa demands Usagi for the Silver Crystal and after shooting her with a toy gun, she flees. Usagi and Mamoru then find her on a swing. Chibiusa is now nicer than she was and gets a piggyback ride from Mamoru back to Usagi's house. At the Tsukino residence, Chibiusa hypnotizes the Tsukino family and Umino into letting her stay with them. Meanwhile, the Black Moon Clan is celebrating the discovery of where the mighty and powerful Silver Crystal is and Ayakashi Sister, Koan, tells Rubeus that she feels someone like her that has quite a strong affinity with fire, flames, heat, and could be convinced to join the Black Moon. Rubeus then gives Code 001: Operation Recruit to convert humans to their cause. She poses as a student named Koan Kurozuki at T*A Girls Academy, where Rei Hino attends and becomes the leader of the supernatural club, the Black Moon. The leader of the other supernatural club on campus comments on how cold her eyes and hands are, and wonders why there is always a black flying saucer when she leaves. Later that day, at Game Center Crown, Luna and Artemis give the four Sailor Senshi their Star Power Sticks and new effective communicators. These new mystical transformation sticks will make each Sailor Soldier feel much stronger and more powerful in herself and her new unique attacks. That night, Rei has a nightmare of Koan using her pyrokinetic abilities to burn the body of a child. At the school's cultural festival, Koan sets up a fortune telling booth and tells her clients that they will die violently. She also says that for those who join the Black Moon, will die better. After Rei discovers Droids disguised as nuns, she transforms into an even stronger Sailor Mars and uses her newest and stronger Burning Mandala attack to incinerate them. Koan then reveals her true self and traps Sailor Mars in a flame barrier. Usagi sees this and transforms into Sailor Moon. She uses Moon Tiara Action on Koan, but it just gets deflected back at her. Koan then sends out more Droids, at which point Sailor Mercury appears and destroys them with her stronger water/ice-based attack, Shine Snow Illusion. Shortly after, the mighty Cutie Moon Rod is born out of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask's pure and enduringly intense romantic affections for each other and Sailor Moon uses its much stronger attack, Moon Princess Halation to kill Koan. Sailor Mars, still trapped in Koan's fiery shield, is then taken captive by Rubeus.
