The Traditionalist Party was initially founded during the 18th century in the Kingdom of Westland, and was then known as the 'Tradition Party.' At that time it was the only political party following the initial establishment of the Parliament of Westland in the 1760's slowly limiting the power of the Kingdom's Absolute Monarch and beginning the state's transition into a Constitutional Monarchy system of government. The Tradition Party was the only organised political party in Westland until the start of the 18th century with the establishment of the Royalist Party in 1803.
