Member of the London School Board, elected for Tower Hamlets 1870 1873 1876 1879 1882 1885. 1 September 1840 – 9 January 1924. British conservationist and liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1885 to 1886. partner in the London brewing firm of Truman, Hanbury, & Co. He and his brother Thomas, played a major part in saving Epping Forest and Hainault Forest for public use.
