| - While no one is exactly sure what Genepool really is, or where she comes from, she seems to have met quite a variety of both heroes, villains and others. This is a good thing for her, since she seems to be a collector of genes.
She's worked both solo, and with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, though, in the latter case, she didn't seem to be working for a cause, as much as she was trying to have fun, as well as trying to get more genes for her collection.
One day, while walking through New York, her third eye found something interesting: a partial symbiote nearby. One belonging to a certain Jennifer Hathaway, also known as Adamant.
After Jennifer opened the door, Genepool sucked up the symbiote with her hands. While Jennifer tried to fight her, she ended up being bound up by a special symbiote Genepool had created. Once Genepool was finished crafting her new symbiote, she let it bond with Jennifer, causing her to become a new, larger symbiotic being known as Petal.
After that, Genepool and her new, loyal partner took a stroll through the town. After Petal erased the memories of herself from everyone in town, the two of them teleported to Mars, where they would get to have even more fun, as well as add to Genepool's collection.

Gene Absorption: Using her palm mouths, Genepool can bite into the flesh of others, and add their DNA to her collection inside of her body.
Gene crafting/alteration: Genepool is actually capable of crafting and altering genes she's collected in her body to suit her purposes.
Gene Implantation: By biting into someone's flesh with her palm mouths, Genepool's able to give others new genes, as well as new powers, including herself.
