Rub al-Khali (Arabic: الربع الخالي ar-Rubʿ al-Ḫālī), the Empty Quarter of Saudi Arabia and possible location of Carcosa. The region is the site of long-dried lake beds and human activity dating back 10,000 years. Site of the Camp Sumner digsite in the story In Carcosa, The King.
