Jake Sean Black (born 25 May 1976 in St. Louis, Missouri) and is a retired professional wrestler who is best known for his work in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in his stints. Black is a former eight-time World Heavyweight Champion and a four time tag team champion with his partner Anthony Smith. Black has been a wrestling fan since he was a toddler, going to see events from various companies finding inspiration from legends. Black was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.

- Jake Black was a writer for many issues of Tales of the TMNT's second volume. He also writes and has written several children's books based on the 2007 movie, as well as other kids books, magazines, TV shows, comic books, trading cards and more based on popular franchises from Disney, Warner Bros., DC, Nickelodeon, and 4kids, etc. He's particularly noted for his SMALLVILLE and Superman related projects. Also of note was his struggle and survival of cancer; Hodgkin's lymphoma. This struggle also inspired one of his final stories for the Second volume of Tales.
