  • The Province of Karzon is one of the five provinces of the Republic of Dolgaria. It has no defined border as it encompasses the whole of the island of Karzon. As of 3764, it is the smallest province by population and the second-smallest by land area, making it the second most densely populated province. The capital is Fort Karzonpils. Because of Karzon's relative remoteness and its distinctive culture, it has sustained a tense relationship with mainland Dolgaria, and has attempted to become independent at several points throughout its history. The longest-lived attempt at independence was the Land of Saint Parnum, the government of which fell during the creation of the Immortal Empire in 3452. However, the established semi-independent vassalage was allowed to remain, which generally improved Karzon's relationship with Dolgaria over the next two centuries. Remnants of Karzon's relationship with the mainland can sometimes be echoed through their political beliefs. In the 3820 election, the Arch Party - elected as the third party federally - won Karzon by 7 setas, while the winning incumbent party - the Forward Party - won the fewest. Today, Karzon is largely a tourist destination.
