Phillip Abraham "Phil" Woosnam (22 December 1932 – 19 July 2013) was a Welsh former Association football inside-right and manager. A native of Caersws, Wales, Woosnam played for Manchester City, Sutton United, Leyton Orient, West Ham United, Aston Villa and the Atlanta Chiefs. He played international football for Wales. He was Commissioner of the North American Soccer League from 1969–83. In 1997 he was inducted into the U.S. National Soccer Hall of Fame.
