The so-called Southern confederacy was an alliance of southern Petty-Kings and Chieftains of the Haradrim, defacto puppet-rulers installed by Gondor due the height of it's reign to control it's southern province Haradwaith. The Southern confederacy existed between TA 1050 and TA 1634 and was briefly renewed after T.A. 1810 until ca. T.A. 1944. The Kings of the southern Confederacy were the Autarb or Taskral of Haruzan, the Kralji of Bozisha-Miraz, the "Tarb" of Sirayn and several lesser rulers all whose sons lived and grew up as hostages in Gondor.
