| - PrestonStarry Ranks All 101 Spyro 1-3 Levels Ranking Countdown: "PrestonStarry Ranks All 101 Based Spyro 1-3 Levels" was a project involving PrestonStarry running a ranking based countdown for his own opinion ranking all 101 based Spyro 1, Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 based levels including all of the main levels, homeworlds, speedways, flights and boss battle levels from worst to best with 101 being the worst and 1 being the best. The countdown project is in-progress from start to finish with write-ups of work that Preston made from the entire month of October 2009. Preston has stated that he decided work to celebrate on the Spyro series with the series being a celebration as one of the main franchises to get Preston into gaming, some of the best platformers every made for the genre and the most played PS1 / PSX games he has ever played with that, Preston has made work on fully ranking every main/minor level from the series. At the end of a month of hard work, Skelos Badlands from Spyro 2 was crowned as the best level ever made involving of such for all three Spyro PS1 games. This project was a very nice success overall in with many people averaging on ranking Preston's overall rankings with excellent to average praise of such to it. The full write-ups in of the ranking countdown, Preston made for every single Spyro PS1 like level starting from #101 all the way #1, can be read below. 101: Haunted Tomb (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------The entire Spyro PS1 Trilogy is home to some of the most enjoyable and greatest moments, I have ever played from a Video Game and I have found a good 75% of the levels from Spyro 1-3 to be so enjoyable and unique that no matter how many times I go through finishing the level to 100%, I always find myself having a time where no two moments play out the same and just plain enjoyable to play through over and over again. If there is however one Spyro level in the entire PS1 Trilogy where I found myself having an annoying and frustrating time getting through and not having fun with it of any kind, it would have to be Haunted Tomb from Spyro 3. Thanks in part due to the most annoying gameplay based elements and enemies appearing in Haunted Tomb from the entire Spyro series and with the Dragon Egg based mini-games to be very bland and forgettable for me to collect with compared to other levels in part to collect Dragon Eggs in from Spyro 3, causes me to rank Haunted Tomb dead last on the countdown. The biggest problem I had with this level and why I hate it with a passion unlike hardly of the rest of the main PS1 Spyro Levels, is the main gameplay concept to defeat the enemies in the level and how to fully 100% complete the level. In order to defeat the stone earthshapper based rhynocs and collect the main treasure from the mummy coffins, is that you have to use snowball based rocks that randomly pop up in only a handful of places in the level and use them to destroy the main enemies in this level. It's annoying on the nerves that you are limited to not being able to use your charge and fire based attacks on the enemies in this level and only able to kill them via with the snowballs because in such the main enemies in the level are placed in one small group and causing one small mistake in your attack on the group of enemies to take out, can cause out doom for you. This problem is notable because it slows the main free action level design that the classic Spyro games are known for slowed down to an annoying stop.Other annoying gameplay based elements abound in this level and can be too much to handle to enjoy from such as random falling rocks appearing at certain times in the level with you only given say maybe three seconds to jump across to another safety area from the falling rocks and so on and so forth. The award of the most grating enemies in the Spyro series, the Earthshappers are extremely annoying to battle through like I said earlier and could only be destroyed by snowballs and are immue to your fire and charge attacks and the fact that they are the ones that hold snowballs themselves and love to fire perfectly and kill your behind if you make one little screw up can be a pain in the you know what. I even found the Dragon Egg based mini-games to be a big letdown and flat out boring to play through compared to some of the rest of the levels in Spyro 3. The hovercraft and Agent 9 based snake mini-games in the level, I found to feel to be very boring, forgettable and repetitive to play through and adding more to the nightmare pain I found overall going through from the level.Overall, I found Haunted Tomb to be easily the biggest dud of a level from the Spyro PS1 games and has remained as a level that I always find to be nothing more then one of the very few disgraced bad moments to the Spyro 1-3 games. Moving on. 100: Gnorc Gnexus (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------There really isn't much to say about Gnorc Gnexus since...it really isn't much of a level overall that does not bring much of anything to the entire Spyro series in it's own right. I hate to act hard on the level since it's a level not to act serious on but there is no denying the fact that while Gnorc Gnexus did help us bring and signal us a great end to the start of one of the greatest platformer trilogy sets in the gaming industry for the main homeworld in the final section of Spyro 1, it's obviously bland in compared to the rest of the main hubworld levels in the three Spyro games and a poor level overall that really isn't seen as something cool and unique. In Gnorc Gnexus in part of Spyro 1, it's a simple hubworld linked to Gnorc Cove, Twilight Harbor, Gnasty Gnorc and the bonus Gnasty's Loot level. There really is pretty much nothing to explore in the hubworld compared to the rest of the main home worlds in Spyro 1, 2 and 3. Once you are done rescuing the two dragons in stone in part of the world and collecting the gems, there is no point to do in part of having fun in of the level other then acting like a fun little idiot and possibly mess around with the mouse fodder in the world or wasting lifes and drowning poor little Spyro in the ocean around the homeworld. Overall, while in part that I find the music decent to listen fitting the in part of the hype leading up the hype for the final in part battles, levels and boss in Spyro 1 well, I wished the world would come out as a big, unique and cool homeworld like the rest of the main Spyro 1 Homeworlds and lead up as a big finale resting place for the player to enjoy with and have at least some half-way decent unique thing to do so when the player is bored while visiting the homeworld. No enemies to even kill? Oh well.Like I said while in part that Gnorc Gnexus is a level that should not be taken as something serious, I wished the level came out with better potential to do and have the player given a half-way decent gameplay element to do, since it's seen as the big finale world of Spyro 1. Because of such and how forgettable it is compared to the rest of the fantastic levels and homeworlds in the Spyro PS1 Trilogy, I have no choice but, to put Gnorc Gnexus as the second worst based level from the 3 PS1/PSX Spyro games. 99: Crawdad Farm (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------I found the four main bonus based Sparx levels from Spyro 3 to be decently enjoyable to play through for what they were for and were a nice break from the main gameplay focus from the rest of main full 3D levels from Spyro 3. I liked how the Sparx levels were taken down from a overhead prospective and controlled the main gameplay, 2D style and controlled by movement from the L1, L2, R1 and R2 buttons on the PS1 controller in which controlled very well along with the movement to move Sparx via by the Dualshock Thumb Sticks. So while in fact that I found the Sparx bonus based levels to be very enjoyable to play through, why do I have Crawdad Farm ranked last out of the Sparx based levels and ranked in the bottom 3 full Spyro levels from Spyro 1, 2 and 3? Because of such compared to the rest of the Sparx levels and that goes for importantly on Bugbot Factory and Starfish Reef, I found Crawdad Farm to be overly simple and at times repetitive in terms of gameplay to play through. I understand that Crawdad Farm is the beginner based level of the Sparx levels but, it would have been nice like some of the early based levels in the beginning based sections in the main Spyro levels have a simple, somewhat hard and complex level design where Crawdad Farm had simple, easy and at times boring level design to play through compared to rest of the Sparx based levels from Spyro 3. During most of the time I was playing through in Crawdad Farm, all I usually did was using the L and R triggers or Dualshock Thumb Sticks to move around Sparx in the area collecting the gems and whenever enemies can up to me, I used circle, circle and circle to no end until the enemy was down and moved away from the enemy targeting over me whenever I ran out of ammo and attack back when I received enough ammo to take out my enemies. Compared to the rest of the Sparx based levels, where I had to think out of my movement and attacks on my enemies when I playing through Crawdad Farm, I really didn't have to bother playing through Crawdad Farm with much thought and get from Point A to Point B as the simplest way out of any level ever made from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy and if you think about it that way for levels as simple as Crawdad Farm, it's nothing more then a fairly forgettable level. Even the big bad lobster as a boss battle to face of in this level, was simple as cake and a disappointing end to a Spyro level from the three Spyro PS1 games.Overall in such of what I think for Crawdad Farm, it's basically a very forgettable and too easy to remember by and definitely not the most entertaining level from the Spyro PS1 Games. The level was good for what it was worth such as getting us started into the Sparx based extra levels from Spyro 3 but other then that, not the most rewarding and enjoyable level to play through and is easily out shined by other main based levels from the Spyro PS1 Games and out shined even by the other Sparx based levels. 98: Crystal Flight (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Much like the bonus Sparx based levels, I found the Speedways or also known as the Flight based levels from Spyro 1, to be nice and enjoyable based game levels that were nice for the Spyro players and fans including myself, to do something different in the games other then doing the typical collecting treasure and rescuing dragons and/or collecting orbs process for the main levels in the trilogy. However while the fact that I found the Speedway / Flight levels to be good for what they are, the Spyro 1 based flight levels fail in compared to the better Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 based flying mini-game based levels, IMO due to the fact that in Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 that you were given some other type of based gameplay concept to do such as getting a secret Dragon Egg or Orb from Hunter after fully finishing the speedway with nothing else to do other then trying to go for better times on your score. It would of been nice that the player could do other based gameplay elements in the Flight levels in Spyro 1 but, in such due to the fact that it was only the first game out of the classic PS1 franchise we are talking about, I have to act generous in such for having it ranked low on the countdown rather then dead last on the countdown of what I planned on doing in the first place.Out of all of the 5 main flight levels from Spyro 1, I found Crystal Flight to be my overall least favorite flight level due to the fact that it was the easiest to finish in and out for where in terms of the Spyro 1 Flight levels, I had a fairly hard time to play through when I was younger even and back when I younger being a wonderful and cool kid playing through Crystal Flight, I never ran into any problems finishing up on Crystal Flight and as such doing even random different pattern terms taking down different paths in the flight level and always finishing up successfully. Compared to Icy and Wild Flight after you see yourself play through them, you will see what I mean.Overall, this write-up was more on a heavy personal note on what I think about for a level rather then a slight based personal note shared on a level overall I think of based on and I apologize for that and I will try to stop in such for future based write-ups in the ranking based countdown but at any rate, Crystal Flight was good for what it was and that was for being a good, decently enjoyable if very easy, bonus based flight level. 97: Terrace Village (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------There were many memorable based main levels from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy and in speaking of such for Spyro 1, almost all of them are so upbeat and well-designed that you can't help but, have a good and enjoyable time playing through the level. Even when, you fully complete the level to no end collecting everything. If there is one Spyro level from the PS1 Trilogy that while wasn't a bad level by any means but, utterly forgettable compared to the rest of the greatness there was in PS1 Trilogy, I would say Terrace Village from Spyro 1 falls right into that category, IMO. My only real negative I have to say about for Terrace Village is that compared to the rest of the main levels to go through where each had it's own unique style in terms of gameplay, Terrace Village didn't offer much of it. The main gameplay elements in the level involve using your time skills to avoid being hit by the electric fields set of by Gnorc enemies and taking out the bigger Gnorcs with your flame attacks and the main gameplay elements in this stage were recycled through and through from the Beast Makers Homeworld with the electric fields. In the rest of the Beast Makers World levels from Spyro 1 where the other levels played out differently like the unique and hard Tree Tops and Misty Bog levels. It would of been nice haven't Terrace Village added something fresh and cool to the style that most of the levels are known for but, you can't have everything. My only other problem with Terrace Village is that, I personally found the music playing on Terrace Village to be one of the very few outright bad songs in the Spyro PS1 Trilogy. Much like the overall level itself, the song isn't really bad but compared to the rest of the wonderful catchy, classic and upbeat music directed by the wonder master that is Stewart Copeland in the rest of the main Spyro levels from the three games, I found the animation and presentation fall a little a flat compared to the rest of the main say good Top 50 or so main levels left to rank on the countdown. In terms of Spyro 1 overall, the level was decent and can be seen as an overall great level for the game but, compared to the rest of the main levels in the entire trilogy, I find that Terrace Village flats just plain forgettable. Again, a level with nothing really I hate from but, nothing really unique enough for me to care about unlike almost 75% of the levels in the Spyro PS1 games. With that, I have to put it low on the list. 96: Night Flight (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Much of what I said about back in my Crystal Flight write-up for the countdown, can be said for pretty much the exact same thing for Night Flight from Spyro 1. While I can understand that it was only the first game in part of the trilogy where the Speedway / Flight levels would improve in terms of game design to do other things like doing a mini-based secret game with Hunter, it would of been nice haven't some form of other based gameplay in the flight levels from Spyro 1 other then going for better times and trying to beat at it. In terms of difficulty, I found Night Flight to be just as easy and simple to go through as much so of Crystal Flight and unlike where with the rest of the main flying based levels from Spyro 2 and 3 were at least hard enough where it took me a few times to fully complete through, no matter what type of pattern I would do in terms of completing Night Flight, I would complete like a piece of pie with no form of difficulty at any rate since the lighthouses, rings, chests and arches pretty much linked each other in small chunks of one other and close to one another unlike the other based flight levels from Spyro 2 and 3 and even the rest of the flights left to rank on the countdown other then Crystal Flight. On a personal note of why I have Night Flight ranked higher on the countdown then Crystal Flight is that, I found the music to be more livid and wonderful to listen to in Crystal Flight and I will admit that I am sucker for falling in love with dark based night stages in Video Games with the Spyro PS1 Trilogy having great charm for it.At any rate, not much else to say about Night Flight other then what I already said for Crystal Flight. If it wasn't for the fact that this was only in form of the starting off not improving flight based levels in the later two games of the trilogy and it was only in the form of the first game, I would have ranked it even lower on the countdown but, at any rate Night Flight gets what gets and is good for what it was for helping on bringing us the improvement of the flight based levels in the later two games of the series. 95: Dragon Shores (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------We have arrived with the first based level from Spyro 2 appearing on the countdown. I found Spyro 2 to be my overall favorite of the three based games from the trilogy. I enjoyed the new gameplay elements from the game such as the underwater, headbash and climb elements with so many times playing through where so many unique styles involving the new gameplay elements taking in place in Spyro 2, were enjoyable and fresh to do and always enjoyable to perform, no matter how many times you would go through for a level in Spyro 2. What made Spyro 1 great, had Spyro 2 mastered on more on the gameplay and made Spyro 3, even more unique and mastered well in gameplay to the other two games. If there is however one thing that I disliked from Spyro 2 that I wound up getting disappointed with is, the poor based bonus ending world of Dragon Shores. Once you are done collecting all of the gems and orbs from Spyro 2, you earn the award in Dragon Shores to take in part of bland and simple carnival based games. My mouth dropped in disappointment and sadness.Unlike the unique flight based bonus world to collect the big and cool yellow and purple based gems in Gnasty's Loot from Spyro 1 and finishing in part with a big finale battle with the Sorceress from Spyro 3 in the Super Bonus World, the player is given seen as a "big" award for working hard well in the game for completing 100% in for Spyro 2 with an infinite super flame. I don't know about anyone else but, I find that to be a VERY lame bonus gift for doing big and hard work collecting every gem and orb from Spyro 2. You have finished collecting everything in a level with nothing much else to do for so what purpose are you going to do with the super flame? Overall, Spyro 2 was a fantastic and beautiful game through and through but, I am and still disappointed in my heart that the player is awarded with lame extras that mean nothing special of anything to the player. No super boss bottle with Ripto? For big Spyro fans like myself and among others, this leaves a sour note in my heart to the greatness that is of Spyro 2 with the terrible extras of the Dragon Shores based carnival games that are boring then over half of the mini-based orb games in other levels of Spyro 2 and given a near worthless extra based super fire infinite power-up to the player. Ugh.If it wasn't for the fact that Spyro 2 was my favorite game of the PS1/PSX Trilogy, I would likely have Dragon Shores ranked even lower on the list but, thanks to in part of how disappointing the extra based world in which Dragon Shores is, causes me to rank it in part of the bottom 10 levels from the PS1 Spyro games on the countdown. 94: Canyon Speedway (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------We move on to yet another Flight / Speedway based level in the countdown but, this time it's not from Spyro 1 with Canyon Speedway being from Spyro 2 and when compared to the rest of the main speedway and flight based levels left to rank on the countdown, there is something about Canyon Speedway that I find missing and bland from. It may be due to the fact that I am not a fan of the country hillbilly based nature the speedway personality has or I am not fully sure.If there is one thing about Canyon Speedway I did not like compared to the rest of the remaining flight / speedway based levels left to rank on the countdown, is that I found the secret based Hunter orb mini-game to be way too linear and bland to care about in for such as these are the only things that help bring out more gameplay design and personality to Spyro 1 and 2 since these were really the only types of gameplay elements you could do aside from the main based trial gameplay the speedways are known for.As for the main secret orb mini-game in Canyon Speedway compared to the rest of the secret based mini-games in the speedways from Spyro 2 and Spyro 3, it's easy to find the game to be easy on the player to get boring and forgettable on. You control Spyro in a hovercraft simply aiming and shooting down the air balloon and blimp based targets in the air in a very linear fashion with the main camera view during the main course of the mini-game giving you a fair amount of time to time shots well in aiming down the main targets in the mini-game down with no real learning curve and level of hard to it. During my play tests at times through the Canyon Speedway mini-game, I easily just aim holding down the circle button to no end with no real strategy to plan out on unlike so for other based orb mini-games in the rest of the speedway levels left to rank on the countdown. Yawn.Overall much like Crystal and Night Flight from Spyro 1, not the most entertaining level out there and disappointing compared to some of the other above average flight / speedway levels to play through from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy. With that it's easy to rank highly of how bland and forgettable Canyon Speedway is and I hope other people that are fans of the series can understand why from. 93: Spider Town (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have ourselves another Sparx level from Spyro 3. In while I do find the Sparx levels to be enjoyable bonus worlds to visit in terms of what they are for in Spyro 3, all four Sparx levels fall flat near the bottom of the countdown simply due to the fact that all of levels, especially notably with Crawdad Farm and Spider Town that, the gameplay can get to be very easy and repetitive at certain times to play through for these levels due to the fact that your enemies act fairly dumb for the most of the time, ruin some of the fun out of it and act only decently smart when in small groups with one another. As for the main gameplay elements in Spider Town, it's very similar of it to Crawdad Farm expect slightly harder which isn't saying much compared to the much harder and more fun Bugbot Factory and Starfish Reef levels. Not much else to say about Spider Town since much of what I said about for my Crawdad Farm write-up can be said about for Spider Town other then it's nice that you are able to freely control the main gameplay in the level at all times in control of the level where Crawdad Farm was just a tutorial level, notably linear and not all gameplay based elements were fully controlled by the player which is nice.On one final note, I did find the big bad spider boss at the end of the level to be a pretty cool and very unique to fight with since it could attack Sparx in a variety of movements, which is nice. Overall, Spider Town is good for what it was but in all honestly that I am sure most fans of the Spyro PS1 fans can agree on me with, the bonus levels from the three games fall way flat compared to the rest of the pure awesome fun from it's other main world level counterparts. 92: Robotica Farms (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Much like how Spyro 1 has many levels that are memorable, classic and very enjoyable to play through, Spyro 2 is full of so many main levels to play and enjoy with that no matter what you would see, say and do in the levels, you would have yourself having a great time from start to finish during something that would never feel hardly boring on you and that accounts for even finishing up 100% in terms of collecting in levels.Much like Spyro 1 though, not every main level from Spyro 2 is a winner and if there is one level that I found to be the most forgettable and bland compared to the rest of the fantastic levels from what I find to be the best game from the PS1 series, it would have to be Robotica Farms. Ever since I was a little kid playing through Robotica Farms in Spyro 2, I always found the level to be boring and bland main level from Spyro 2 with nothing real in terms of game design sticking out in the level. My biggest problem overall with Robotica Farms is that, it's a level that is just plain boring to play through, IMO. Nothing in terms of anything notable out of fun in the level sticks out in my head and that continues to today where I play Spyro 2, now older. The only real notable gameplay element that sticks out in Robotica Farms making it somewhat unique unlike the rest of the levels from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy is using seesaws to move from platform to platform in which slows the main platforming action down to a big stop as thanks to in part of annoying enemies loving to appear at the worst of times such the flying bees and spinning top green bugs that can only be killed by headbash, screwing and slowing the player down and in part of both enemies being the most enemies from the entire PS1 Trilogy, IMO and thanks to also in part of the annoying spinning windmills blocking down your on movement. Even as such, the orb based mini-games in Robotica Farms were bland and nothing worth reacting heavily with screaming excitement joy with unlike most of the rest of the mini-games for inside the rest of the main levels of the three Spyro games.Nothing memorable overall to talk about for Robotica Farms, IMO and easily one of the biggest duds of levels from Spyro 2. Because of such thanks to some of the most annoying and bland gameplay elements taking in part of the level, causes me to rank Robotica Farms a slot in part of the bottom 10 levels from the three Spyro games in the countdown. 91: Sunny Flight (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Coming in at #91 on the countdown goes to the very first bonus flight / speedway level from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy, Sunny Flight. I hate to disappoint some of you guys with pretty much saying some of the same exact things from my previous write-ups recycled and reused in the early sections so far in the countdown but, please deal with me on this. By the time we reach the Top 70 or so levels from the Spyro PS1 games on the countdown, all of the levels with write-ups will be nice and enjoyable to read about since those are notable levels people care about from the great memories of the games. Not the bonus Sparx and Speedway levels from the series, in due respect to them but, it's true that they are nothing more then good for what those types of levels were and that was to mix the main level gameplay up at times for the player playing through the three Spyro games. At any rate, moving on to Sunny Flight. Of what has been said already in the past with the few previous write-ups in the countdown with Night and Crystal Flight can be said about for in such for Sunny Flight. Thanks to the low overall game design variety in the flight levels from Spyro 1 with nothing of any kind of gameplay element wise to care about performing expect trying to get better times once finished with the flights with no mini-game options to do unlike in the speedway / flight levels from Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 in which is a bummer point lost on the countdown, causes all five main flight levels from Spyro 1 to be ranked low on the countdown and I hate give away spoilers in the countdown but, I think it's safe to do since not that many fans of PS1 Spyro Trilogy really care about much from the bonus levels in the series other then the extra 120% ending levels.I will give Sunny Flight credit where it's due and act generous on with due to the fact that it's only in part of being the first real Spyro flight / speedway level in the series and it would gladly help the trend of speedway / flight levels improving in quality and also the fact that the music and presentation in the level was more cool then it that of Crystal and Night Flight but, because of the notable lack of variety in such from the Spyro 1 flight levels in which a lack of variety is never good in part of a fault in no matter what Video Game it is, causes me to rank it no higher then this on the countdown. 90: Country Speedway (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Yet another Speedway / Flight level appearing on the countdown. What else is new? However, this is the first speedway from Spyro 3 appearing on the countdown and with what I stated in the past, the Spyro 3 speedways are improved in quality in comparison to it's Spyro 1 and 2 counterparts thanks to other things to perform and do in terms of gameplay in them such as the races. While in such that I will admit the races against say the pigs and butterflies are good in terms of at least something new to perform and do to keep you busy to have more fun in the level, I found the race bonus courses from Spyro 3 to be very repetitive and bland, thanks to in part of the enemy AI acting for most of the time lifeless with the ability to not able to attack you at any time on the course while racing is taking place and also with the fact that AI will take a very linear and boring pattern fashion that is easy to follow and remember from making it very easy to way away as the winner. As for the Hunter mini-game in this Speedway, at least it makes up for the crappy and boring race sections for me. I found it cool to take down the flying saucers and space cows in sequence in a rail shooting game fashion and protect the townspeople in them but, much like the races and unlike some of the other Hunter secret mini-games from Spyro 2, the ones in Spyro 3 play out often in a repititive action tone, which in meaning can be boring from time to time to play through due to how the AI functions in a repetitive way. Don't be surprised that while the mini-game has cool charm to it, expect yourself doing the same process over and over again. At any rate, not much else to say. I didn't really care too much for the presentation and style in the stage since I have no real personal state or love for dry country levels from Video Games with that in such, I rank it as the worst of the four speedways from Spyro 3. Country Speedway was good for what it's worth but definitely not nowhere near the caliber of fun to the main levels in the PS1 Spyro Trilogy and that goes for pretty much every bonus level in of the series. 89: Midday Gardens (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have ourselves our first true main homeworld from the three Spyro games appearing on the countdown. (Keep in mind that I do not take account in part of Gnorc Gnexus since, that so called world was so lifeless and bland.) In terms of Spyro 3 which being a fantastic game overall and a very nice ending to the classic Spyro PS1 Trilogy, if there was one thing that I was somewhat disappointed with compared to the great and unique style from the homeworlds of Spyro 1, is that the homeworld sections of the levels in Spyro 3 were lacking in part of anything unique and original to do for the player to explore in and be kept busy with unlike in Spyro 1 which had the best homeworlds of the series, IMO with the ability to take out and battle against enemies at your own will to do and have something at least in terms of gameplay variety to keep coming back and having with. Once you were done collecting everything of such in the homeworlds of Spyro 3, there wasn't really much in terms of gameplay action to have you coming back and forth having random fun in unlike the ones again in part of Spyro 1 and 2. It would of been nice to have the series go out on a huge lead with the best interactive and unique styles for the trilogy for the homeworlds like such for having some of the most unique and main fun levels from Spyro 3 so, it's a bit sweet sorrow in such the homeworlds could not hold much of a candle in terms of fun compared to the rest of homeworlds in the series and for the highly unique levels of such for talking about Spyro 3 in speaking of for.Out all of the main homeworlds combined in the series, something about Midday Gardens just felt boring to me and nothing worth rewarding and memorable to speak of for. I like the main presentation and music in of Midday Gardens with the cool and peaceful lifestyle fitting the world well but in terms of level variety, it falls way short thanks to all of the Spyro 1 homeworlds having unique styles of gameplay to mix around in for the gamer to have fun with such as the graceful Magic Crafters World and the unique Dream Wavers World. That also accounts for all of the rest of the main homeworlds from Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 having at least some form of unique style to the design of the gameplay in of the homeworlds to have some form of fun to keep coming back to from even after such of all terms of collecting is done in those levels, the opposite can be said about so for Midday Gardens, IMO.Not much else to say other then while I know I shouldn't take much of a homeworld seriously in of the Spyro games but, still a level is a level and as such causes me to rank it in the bottom 15 of the countdown. 88: Blowhard (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Speaking of minor faults in of the Spyro PS1 Trilogy, if Spyro 3's only real fault to the series is with the short and somewhat disappointing main homeworld section levels of the three games, Spyro 1 suffers from with of such with it's real problem in of the three games with the worst boss battle levels of the three games thanks to in part of almost of the boss battle levels from Spyro 1 while at the time somewhat revolutionary and cool for what they were worth for back in the day, fall short compared to the much harder, fun and more in depth gameplay boss battle levels from Spyro 2 and Spyro 3. Blowhard is the perfect level of the three games of this and while I have nothing really wrong with the level in terms of the design overall, I have to rank low on the list simply in part of how I find it to be disappointing on the fact to call it much of a so called "boss" level in such compared to the other more enjoyable and more in-depth boss battles are in from of the other games in the series. Thanks to in part of how shallow, small and short the level is and how linear and boring the so called boss from this level which is a tornado yellow witch thing is, I have to rank it in low of in part on the countdown.Let's start like how I stated earlier how nothing really memorable stands out in the level and how linear it gets. For me every single time when I played through on with for Spyro 1 in Blowhard, even when I was a young little kid, it took me no more then say maybe four minutes at the most to complete fully through for the level from start to finish with no problems to speak of and how nothing of note really comes out cool in terms of the level design of Blowhard. In terms for the platforming gameplay in part of the level, nothing notable stands out to make Blowhard a very unique level compared to the rest of the great levels from Spyro 1. The most basic gameplay elements of the Spyro series takes in part of the level with nothing to speak important of other then doing simple glide and jump gameplay functions of the level. This is down-sided also on the fact where the other main 5 boss battles in of Spyro 1 left to rank on the countdown had some form of unique and original gameplay mechanic to make the level feel fresh and fun. Again, nothing stands out in Blowhard.Adding more fire to the burn causing me to rank Blowhard low on the countdown is in part with the extremely easy and boring "boss" battle of Blowhard. You face off in part chasing and fighting off with a yellow witch of the level and this is ruined more by the fact that the boss gives you a fair amount of time to take out on. I found Blowhard gave you say at least 5 to 6 seconds to plan out a fast and simple attack on with Blowhard before he tries to attack you and when he tries to at least attack you, it's just a simple thundercloud attack that is easy as pie to dodge from by just moving in part to another side of the level. Overall, thanks to in part of how easy and bland in terms of the boss battle and level design are in of Blowhard easily puts it in for room in one of the bottom slots in of the countdown, IMO. 87: Evening Lake (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------In much of what of said in my previous two write-ups in the countdown with Midday Gardens, can be said for pretty much the exact same thing for Evening Lake. In terms of gameplay design of the homeworld levels of Spyro 3, they fall short and disappointing compared to the high action in level design and variety in of Spyro 1 and even of that in of Spyro 2, thanks to how no sense of refreshing cool action and personality sticks in of the homeworld levels, even before and after you finish 100% of it. Sad, how Spyro 3 was the last real great game of the entire franchise and Insomniac Games did not have the series go out with a huge lead on the PS1 with more unique and varied homeworld like of such in the past two games of the PS1 Trilogy. The only reasons of such of why I have Evening Lake ranked higher then Midday Gardens in the countdown is simply due to the fact that at least notable things in a non-gameplay style fashion sticks out in Evening Lake rather then Midday Gardens such as the cute little whale swimming around of the lake area as your explore through the homeworld and even go inside the little guy for a Dragon Egg and the ability to pull off some of the best glitches of the Spyro PS1 Trilogy in Evening Lake such as the infamous and fun swimming in the air glitch which at least gives Evening Lake some personality charm over with as such for Midday Gardens. At any rate, no much else to say. I will admit that I am probably ranking the homeworld and speedway levels, a little too harsh on for the countdown so far but, still a level is a level of the Spyro PS1 Trilogy and with that, causes me to rank Evening Lake no higher then this on the countdown. 86: Mushroom Speedway (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Another post in the countdown, another speedway / flight level for me to rank and review low on for the countdown. While in compared to some of the other speedway / flight levels that have already shown up on the countdown so far, Mushroom Speedway isn't all that bad in terms of all of the bonus flight levels go overall of the three Spyro games but, it certainly isn't the most memorable and enjoyable of the bunch thanks to in part of the speedway being way too easy and linear to enjoy out of unlike the remaining 7 flying bonus level to rank on the countdown and also with the fact that I found the secret Hunter flying mini-game in part of the level, to be very forgettable and bland, with such causes me to rank Mushroom Speedway no higher then this as it goes for the countdown, IMO.Like I stated earlier, Mushroom Speedway ranks in low for part of the countdown thanks to how repetitive and simple the main time trial course is along with the just as simple and bland butterfly race course is in part of the level. Compared to the rest of the flying levels to rank in part of the countdown which earn higher points for being ranked higher in the countdown thanks to average to high level of fun difficulty in of them, Mushroom Speedway for a speedway at any rate of three games, is way too disappointingly easy for my taste to care about for. Thanks to how the flowers, spiders, rings and butterflies link up close with each other to take out in of the racing course, for me when I was playing through for the level for no matter what the combination I would do for the race time trial section in part of the level, I would have next to no problems or mis-fails of any kind fails of running out of time of any kind in of the main course gameplay action of Mushroom Speedway, with thanks to how linear and extremely easy of note of what I stated with Mushroom Speedway, causes me to rank low of it on the countdown.Adding more bad points that makes Mushroom Speedway, a very forgettable speedway / flight level in terms of the rest of the flight / speedway levels to rank on the countdown, is with the bland secret Hunter dragon egg mini-game. In of Mushroom Speedway, you take control of Hunter in an airplane taking out and destroying the flying saucer sheep enemies of the level. Compared to the rest of the Hunter flight levels of the three games, I found the mini-game of Hunter in Mushroom Speedway, fairly boring and bland for most of the time in part of the level thanks to of how super sensitive of the plane was. Because of this problem of how so with Hunter's airplane being very sensitive acts to the player's control and movement of the mini-game taking in place of, can cause the player to fault over in mistakes over the player to screw up in of the gameplay design of the mini-game over most of the time that wasn't at the player's fault due to the again stated super high drunk sensitise the controls are of the Hunter mini-game.Not much else to say. In terms of the speedway levels overall for IMO, Mushroom Speedway is not that bad like Crystal or Night Flight from Spyro 1 but, compared to the rest of the speedways left to rank in of the countdown, it's no winner. Because of this and it's faults I stated in of the write-up earlier causes me to rank Mushroom Speedway low on the countdown. 85: Icy Flight (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------At this point in the countdown in terms of all of the bonus speedway / flight levels from all three of the Spyro PS1 games go for in my IMO, I found Icy Flight to be a decent above average bonus level of what it's worth of to the three Spyro PS1 games thanks to in part of Icy Flight being fairly challenging to play through at times for and thanks to the unique style of gameplay taking in sections for of Icy Flight unlike in the rest of the flight levels of Spyro 1 such as the cool helicopter gnorcs and trains to target down in of the main trial mode race section in of the level, which is refreshing and good for at least a speedway / flight level to mix up the gameplay design in unlike most of the speedway / flight levels of the three Spyro games.Wild Flight aside, this was the best flight level of Spyro 1 and while that really isn't saying much, it does say alot in for the rest of the crappy flight / speedway levels already ranked poorly on the countdown compared to Icy Flight. Again, I found it nice with Icy Flight feeling unique, non-linear and original to play through thanks to different paths to take in part of the main gameplay of the level such as taking down one path in take down all of the chests to taking down a path getting lucky with your time and taking out all of the train targets of the speedway and another following down a path allowing the player to take out all of the lighthouse targets all at one time. This is a very good and cool note for any type of gameplay designed level from a Video Game and this is a great thing that I like from anything and there is no denying how these types of things help bring out the life of Video Games out more and it's to nice that well for most of the levels of the 3 Spyro games. At any rate overall, Icy Flight was great for what it was but much like what all of the Spyro 1 flight / speedway levels suffer from, they suffer from a lack of gameplay variety in part of no extras to take in part of in unlike the enjoyable secret orb and dragon egg mini-games with Hunter from Spyro 2 and 3 with Spyro 1 having nothing of note to keep going back for in of the Spyro 1 flying levels other then getting better times but otherwise problems aside, Icy Flight was a semi-decent bonus level of what it was for in of the three Spyro games and who doesn't love the charm of the winter and ice presentation of the design and music in of the level? 84: Sunrise Spring (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------We have ourselves another Spyro 3 homeworld level appearing on the countdown. Much of what said earlier in the countdown of to Evening Lake and Midday Gardens can be said of to for Sunrise Spring and I apologize of note of repeating myself of such in a few of these write-ups so far in the countdown. In terms of gameplay action to take in part of in of what I stated earlier in the countdown, the Spyro 3 homeworlds fall short compared to the Spyro 1 and 2 homeworld levels thanks to in part of no variety in terms of level design. The only expection of such of the only Spyro 3 homeworld that I found not having of this problem is, Midnight Mountain which has yet to be full ranked on the countdown so far. Unlike where you could have random fun taking down gnorc enemies in the homeworlds in of Spyro 1 and in of exploring massive homeworlds for the fun of it in of Spyro 2, nothing of note is going to knock your socks off in terms of gameplay in of the homeworlds of Spyro 3 involving the player to take in part of bland level design performing the simplest of tasks to take in part of such of gliding and swimming tips from Hunter to earn Dragon Eggs of. This becomes more of a problem with of how the Spyro 3 homeworlds do not easily hold up against well of the homeworld levels of the other two Spyro PS1 games with the levels getting more bland and boring to take in part of boredom in once all gems and dragon eggs have been collected of the levels. It would of been nice haven't the homeworlds of Spyro 3 have more hidden enjoyable depth tasks to take in part of in unlike of the ones in the previous two installments of the series. Oh, well. The only homeworld from Spyro 3 once again that sticks out with personality and unique style of gameplay is, Midnight Mountain. So overall if Sunrise Spring suffers from the exact same problems of Evening Lake and Midday Gardens, why have it ranked higher on the countdown? I will give credit where it's due and act generous on part of Sunrise Spring to of it for since it's the part where gamers start out with beginning early enjoyment to Spyro 3 and a nice ending in such for in the last great game of the franchise and in the fact that a more enjoyable swimming in the air glitch can be taken in part of Sunrise Spring unlike in Evening Lake, IMO. With that of note, not much else to state other then things that have been stated on what feels like a thousand times already in the countdown and with that causes me to rank Sunrise Spring, no higher then this in the countdown. 83: Ocean Speedway (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------At this point in the countdown and that accounts for every level including the bonus Flight, Speedway, Sparx and Boss Battle levels of the three Spyro PS1 games, we move on in from the countdown from levels that I found to be pretty boring and flat out bad to play through to now at the point in the countdown starting with Ocean Speedway from Spyro 2 with levels that I found while not bad, were just very forgettable and bland levels of the three Spyro PS1 games, IMO.In as such of what I stated back with my Icy Flight write-up, Ocean Speedway was a semi-decent speedway / flight level of what it was for but, compared to the remaining speedway / flight levels left to rank in of the countdown and that includes in general of the better two speedway levels from Spyro 2 left to rank on the countdown with Icy and Metro Speedway in talks, Ocean Speedway falls short on the countdown in such thanks to in part of how fairly easy Ocean Speedway is and how much so of nothing memorable aside from boat enemies to take out in part of the level and the funny hilarious easter egg with the ability to kill the fish crowd members in of the speedway, nothing of note for IMO at least, sticks out in Ocean Speedway. In terms of the main course gameplay design of Ocean Speedway aside from the cool and unique boat enemy targets to take out in part of the level, nothing in terms of the level course design sticks out making it fairly much so like a typical straightforward flight / speedway level of such of the already speedway / flight levels already on the countdown with Night and Crystal Flight from Spyro 1. The simple general style of Ocean Speedway with your typical arch targets to take out in of the level return of Ocean Speedway. It also hurts on the fact that thanks to in part of how all of the targets of Ocean Speedway link up with each other close, it's easy to follow the bland and repetitive ring-boat-arches-karts pattern in of the level causing me why to rank it nowhere near as the best speedway / flight level IMO, on the countdown. As of note the only other game design that sticks out memorable for me in terms of Ocean Speedway goes is the ability to take out and kill the fish crowd members in part of the middle sections in part of the level in very hilarious ways and letting out funny death cries in the process when you kill them but, aside from that note, not much else to say about for Ocean Speedway. Not a terrible level by any means but, just very forgettable and bland in style of game design. 82: Bugbot Factory (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have another Sparx level from Spyro 3 appearing on the countdown with this time involving, Bugbot Factory. Much of how Ocean Speedway was decent as for a flight / speedway was to in Spyro 2, Bugbot Factory was a acceptable decent Sparx level of where credit is due for in Spyro 3 and definitely much better in compared to Crawdad Farm and Spider Town, due to in part of Bugbot Factory involving more exploration in part of the level which is what makes most of the Spyro and bonus levels of the three Spyro PS1 games in general, fun. However, thanks in to part of how easy Bugbot Factory is and how much like the rest of the Sparx levels suffar from with repetitive level design and in part of brain dead AI enemies, causes me to rank Bugbot Factory a spot in the bottom 20 Spyro levels in of my countdown. In terms of gameplay goes in of Bugbot Factory, it follows the same Point A to Point B process with of that to Spider Town and Crawdad Farm which is a problem with all of the Sparx levels in of Spyro 3 because it makes up for bad repetition setting in quickly and the only in part of how Bugbot Factory accounts for making this problem not notable in it of to Crawdad Farm and Spider Town, is due to the fact of the level being fairly large enough where it does not become that noticeable compared to of the others.I will give credit where it due and have Bugbot Factory notable for being a nice final Sparx world to play it for what it was worth for in of Spyro 3, but other of that note nothing memorable and unique of Bugbot Factory due to other problems abounding in of the level with the already stated brain dead and straightforward enemies to kill of the level and simple level design with the collect the key and open the gate process until you meet and defeat of the boss in of the level to get a Dragon Egg. It would have been nice hadn't the Sparx levels from Spyro 3 include more depth to the gameplay but oh, well. With that, not much else to say for Bugbot Factory. In terms of at least of the four Sparx levels go in from Spyro 3, it was semi-decently enjoyable for what it was worth but, compared to the rest of the fantastic and beautiful levels of the entire levels of the Spyro series, Bugbot Factory falls short. 81: Dry Canyon (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------There is one word that always comes to my mind when I describe Dry Canyon from Spyro 1. GENERIC. Nothing of note in terms of unique style and gameplay come out of Dry Canyon and easily one of the worst main levels of Spyro 1 and definitely not the most entertaining level out there which is a big disappointment on how almost every other level of Spyro 1 and almost all of the remaining levels in general from Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 in the games, is unique in it's own right with at least some style of charm you can't help but enjoy from. Dry Canyon isn't a bad level overall with the main design of the level making sense and easy to explore in but, in part of how nothing of note in terms of the level is going to knock your socks off with and easily just an overall very forgettable level much like what I stated with the past few forgettable levels in of already appearing of the countdown so far.Much of what I said earlier in the write-up aside from Terrace Village which is already reviewed in for on the countdown, Dry Canyon is easily the most blandest and forgettable main level to play through in of Spyro 1, IMO. Nothing exciting in terms of gameplay design sticks out making unique unlike the rest of the main levels of Spyro 1 and involves the typical and boring Point A to Point B gameplay process. This goes in such for the more bland and boring enemies you face off with in of the level. The only main enemies you come across in the level are generic gnorcs with shields that go down easily by your charge attack and the big vultures the charge after you but turn to easy fruitcake pie kills with them easily going down to Spyro's flame attack. Unlike where the rest of the Spyro 1 main levels go for the countdown where you had unique enemies to face off with, gameplay design where it was fun and challenging to play through and unique design to explore in of the levels just for the fun of it, Dry Canyon offers nothing of that sort of any kind of level design variety of such. Adding more burn to the fire that adds up on me not enjoying much out of Dry Canyon is also with the fact, that I have never been a fan of anything desert related in Video Games in of Dry Canyon, thanks to in part of how bland and forgettable I find them to be and Dry Canyon is no different in of it here for of the Spyro games. Not the most entertaining level out there and the only reason of such of why I do not have Dry Canyon ranked lower on the countdown is thanks to the decently catchy song that plays in part of the level and fits the style of the level well thanks to in part of how awesome Stewart Copeland is. At any rate, not much else to say other then the multiple times already stated on of how "blah" and forgettable Dry Canyon is. 80: Harbor Speedway (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------As far as of all of the 13 flight / speedway levels go in all of the Spyro PS1 games, Harbor Speedway was one of the more better ones of the bunch in terms of fun thanks to how it was nice for the speedway / flight levels go out with a bang in of Spyro 3 with a fairly challenging time trial main race course unlike of that where nothing stood out in of the main race course for being easy and linear of the other speedways of Spyro 3 with Ocean and Country Speedway. While it isn't saying much in terms of it as one of the better overall speedway / flight levels in of the three games, it does say much of so because it makes the past remaining speedway / flights on the countdown look like garbage, which quite frankly are and disappointing in part to of Harbor Speedway and the remaining 4 speedway / flight levels to rank in of the countdown. Still, while Harbor Speedway earns points as one of the better speedway / flight levels of the three classic PS1 Games, they do not hold a candle to the great and classic main levels of such in of the three PS1 games and as such gets Harbor Speedway only good for what it is worth in of the series. One of the biggest highlights I loved from Harbor Speedway making it a decent overall speedway / flight level of what it is worth is unlike the rest of it's kind already ranked in part of the countdown is with the unique style of targets of the level with the cool seagulls, hovercraft underwater fishes and searchlight crabs to take out of the level and how unique and original of the level they act to be and as such makes for a fairly hard of a level in terms of the speedway / flight levels go of all of the three Spyro PS1 games and it's nice for the final true Speedway of the main real Spyro franchise in general, go out with a bang with a unique, hard and enjoyable Speedway / Flight level of such to the player to have fun with. Harbor Speedway earns points also for having one of the better types of presentation in all of the speedway / flight levels of the series. Like of much how I am sucker for Ice themed levels in gaming, I am sucker for misty and ocean levels of Harbor Speedway and I find them breathtaking and cool to love from. I am not sure if it's because blue is my favorite color but, whatever. I still find presentation levels of Harbor Speedway, great and wonderful to take a look of with.Other then such, not much else to say for Harbor Speedway. It's nice for the final true Spyro game of the entire franchise go out with a unique, hard and fun speedway / flight level of such with Harbor Speedway but, in such compared to the rest of the fantastic and enjoyable levels of the series, pretty much all of the bonus levels of the classic Spyro games fall in short of comparison of such to them. With that, Harbor Speedway was good for it was for but other then that, there is nothing much going for it. 79: Starfish Reef (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have our final Sparx level from Spyro 3 appearing on the countdown, Starfish Reef. On a big positive note to say about such for Starfish Reef and easily of how I rank it the best of the four Sparx levels in of Spyro 3, is thanks to how fairly challenging and non-linear in terms of gameplay gets in of the level which is always good for any Spyro level to have but, on that sad note, pretty much every single bonus level out there of the PS1 Spyro games cannot once again, hold a candle compared to the more beautiful and more unique main levels out there. Still, Starfish Reef is go for what it is but, much like what every bonus level suffers from, they can be most of the time to the gamer forgettable. On that first note, Starfish Reef is fairly challenging and unique for what it is thanks to unlike in the rest of the three Sparx levels already ranked on the countdown, complex and unique. The main enemies you come across in of Starfish Reef are well...starfish. The starfish for almost all times attack in a group of one another on Sparx and move in all directions of the level trying to take you and Sparx down and for the most part, act smart and wise on the player unlike where in the other remaining three Sparx levels, the enemies are brain dead dimwits that love to charge after you but, go down with just one attack. This is also added up with other variety if of enemies to kill in of the level such as the salamanders which also add smart, wise and unique to the level in general and to the gamer. While, Starfish Reef is a good level for what is, there is one notable thing in terms of gameplay that the Sparx levels all suffer from unlike the full 3D main levels of the three Spyro games and that is how simple they are. Aside from the enemies you face off with in of Starfish Reef, there isn't much in terms of level design that sticks out notable to care for in of Starfish Reef and that goes for every Sparx level from Spyro 3. This is a big problem in such because the series is known for unique style in of the levels and sadly that's not seen for Starfish Reef.Overall, Starfish Reef is an "okay" level overall for what it is compared to the much worse Sparx levels in of Spyro 3 but, as in of the series in general of all of the full Spyro PS1 levels go, it's easily nothing more then very "meh" and forgettable. With that, not much else to say other then now with the Sparx levels finally done and over with of the countdown, we move on to the bigger and notable levels that fans care about to see me rank in part of the countdown. 78: Crush's Dungeon (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------As far as all of the boss levels go in terms of from the three Spyro PS1 games, I personally have found almost all of the boss levels of the games fun and enjoyable to play through thanks to how unique, fun and original they are to the three classic PS1 games and are varied well in terms of gameplay design, that no two types of boss battle fights play out the same and remember fun and engaging for a blast to play through over and over again with. However other then Blowhard, if there is one Boss Level from that of the PS1 Spyro games that I found to be the most forgettable and blandest of them all to play through with, it would have to be Crush's Dungeon from Spyro 2. While there is nothing wrong with the level overall in general and decently okay for what it is worth since it's the first boss level of that from Spyro 2, it falls short and flat compared to the more unique and open-ended Boss battles levels of that from the three Spyro games. Even the other first boss battles of that from Spyro 1 and 3 with Buzz's Dungeon and Toasty, were more unique in terms of gameplay to play through with and sadly unique which is something that does not stand out well in Crush's Dungeon, causes me to rank it fairly low on the countdown. The biggest problem overall I had with Crush's Dungeon was with of how easy and simple the boss battle of such is compared to the more complex, harder and more original boss battles levels are there of in of the 3 Spyro PS1 games. The main boss battle gameplay elements of Crush's Dungeon are of that chasing around Crush around the battlefield of the level around red and blue circle power-up tiles and trying to kill Crush of that by flaming him before he gets a chance of that to use power-up energy from the tiles and repeating this process seven times until he gets his own dimwitted self killed by rocks and your flame attacks of Spyro in of the level. The only things to look out for in the level is not getting killed by Crush's club which is as easy to dodge by simply holding down the charge button and going down in different directions of the level. The only other attack that Crush could do to you in of the level is watching out for the power-up magic he uses which are both easy as pie to dodge with. Whenever you uses red magic, he throws fireballs at you and if he uses blue magic, he sends out blue electricity from his feet to attack you with. Nothing unique and hard about gameplay design here. Disappointing of that compared to the way more fun boss battle levels of the that in of the PS1 series. With that thanks to how easy and bland Crush's Dungeon gets, it's another overall very forgettable level of that like other levels in such I have talked about with on the countdown. 77: Wild Flight (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have our final Flight / Speedway level from that of Spyro 1 appearing on the countdown, Wild Flight. Wild Flight earns some credit in my countdown thanks to how hard and how somewhat original it is in terms of gameplay design is as far as all of the flight / speedway levels go from all three Spyro games unlike the rest of those found in of Spyro 1 being notably repetitive and easy in terms of gameplay of them which can be said for the opposite for Wild Flight, which is a great thing as every level in of a Video Game needs to feel unique and fun in it's own way which is something that Wild Flight is somewhat good has for all of the speedway / flight levels of the three classic PS1 Games. Overall, Wild Flight was great for what it was thanks to how at least the main flight gameplay action of the level mixes up in terms of game design with multiple paths to take of for the player with and with so causes the level to get boring and repetitive in. Even so, Wild Flight falls short compared to the last remaining few speedway / flight bonus levels left to rank on the countdown thanks to how all of the Spyro 1 Flight levels lack anything in terms of variety to take in part with no race or secret Hunter mini-games to take in part with. As such, earns only Wild Flight notes for what it is and that is as the best speedway / flight level from that of Spyro 1 but, that does not say much.As like how I stated earlier of how the gameplay goes of the level, Wild Flight earns points for the main flying action of the level being unique with multiple paths for the player to explore in of the level such as taking down one path with the flying gnorc targets to the sea area with the arch targets to take out with and with a path to take down the hovercraft water gnorcs in of the level. It's nice for in Wild Flight as unlike most of the other Speedway / Flight levels in of the three PS1 games, offer mixed up action for the player to explore in of the level and adds replay value of such to have the player mix up with more unique ways to travel in and complete the level in which is other then aside from maybe Honey Speedway from Spyro 3, is not seen from the other speedway / flight levels of the series.Still with that going for it, like of how I stated in earlier of the countdown in a few previous write-ups, pretty much all of the Speedway / Flight levels of such suffer from nowhere having much from other then bells and whistles in terms of unique style of their kind being seen as more enjoyable level of the even more unique and complex levels out there of that from the full main 3D levels of such from the three Spyro games. With that, Wild Flight was memorable for as all of the main speedway / flight levels go of the three Spyro PS1 games but, very forgettable in terms as every single main level goes out there for all three Spyro games. 76: Icy Speedway (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Speaking of going over the last few Speedway / Flight levels left to rank on the countdown, here we another level of such on the countdown with Icy Speedway from Spyro 2. Where credit is at for much of how I stated back in the Wild Flight write-up, Icy Speedway deserves some praise as one of the better Speedway / Flight levels of the three Spyro PS1 Games thanks to how much like Wild Flight, Icy Speedway offers unique level design in different paths to take with the player able to take one path on the ground supercharging the snowmobiles out of the way to going into the sea and taking out the monster serpents and taking down one path on the ice platforms and using timed skills to take out the spinning dancers in of the level giving unlike most of the other Speedway / Flight levels which is disappointingly not seen in most of those types of levels and how overall of why I have pretty much all of the Speedway / Flight levels appearing low on the countdown, gives Icy Speedway some form of replay value which is great for any Video Game level out there and helps make almost all of the Spyro levels special and unique in it's own way.The only reason of such of why I have Icy Speedway ranked higher then Wild Flight on the countdown is because of the fun and hard secret orb Hunter mini-game of the level. The paragliding mini-game was frustrating for me back when I was younger but, fun at the same time. You control Spyro through in the air with the alalog sticks and using real gameplay skills unlike of those of the other secret mini-games levels out there of the PS1 games and guiding Spyro through all 50 rings of the level with the slightest mistake of the mini-game you made, possibly to screw you up and start all the way over again of the mini-game. Again, fun for what it was.Overall, Icy Speedway was one of the better Speedway / Flight levels out there of the series but like how I stated earlier, they all fall in comparison of one another due to how there is no where near enough hidden depth in terms of gameplay to enjoy out of them from compared to the remaining 50 or so more main levels there are left to rank on the countdown with. Overall, you know Icy Speedway good for what it was. Blah, blah, blah. 75: Doctor Shemp (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Something about Doctor Shemp just bugs me. I am not sure if it's due to the fact of how annoying the enemies are of the level with the hyperactive suicidal gnorc Indians that love to attack you and take themselves down or how easy, disappointing and very forgettable of a "boss" Doctor Shemp is. It may be a combination of both but in terms of gameplay design, Doctor Shemp isn't a bad level thanks to in part of how the main core platforming experience is easy and enjoyable to get into but, in terms of the real "boss battle" gameplay goes of Doctor Shemp, it's disappointing of how unlike Metalhead, Jacques, Toasty and Gnasty Gnorc that included unique and somewhat challenging boss fights to play through in, Doctor Shemp doesn't offer of that unlike the other four Spyro 1 boss levels that included fun gameplay design and a fun, unique boss to face off with and Doctor Shemp doesn't offer much of anything unique making me having to rank it fairly low on the countdown compared to the much more fun boss levels of that of all three Spyro games. As for the boss fight goes in of the level, you face off with "Doctor Shemp" as he is a giant Indian gnorc enemy that the only real attack he has to attack you with is with a giant skull club that uses in for the battle with such in pretty much only one gameplay pattern and that is spinning the club around of the boss battlefield and as such trying to hit you with, until you die. Because so of this, it makes up for a very disappointingly boss fight compared to the way more fun and original gameplay there is out of the rest of the boss battle levels of the Spyro PS1 Trilogy. The easiest way to dodge his attack is simple enough for a kindergartner to understand and beat with. Simply think of dodging his attacks as a game of jump rope with whenever he comes around so to attack you with, dodge with the X button and when his back his turned, flame his behind and when this process is repeated three times, the guy is done. If you play through the boss, even during your first time through the game, you will see what I mean. Very disappointing, bland and boring of a boss. Not much to say. The only semi-memorable thing coming out of Doctor Shemp is whenever you flame his behind, he lets out a loud and hilarious moan of pain that you can't help but laugh from. At any rate, not the most entertaining and fun level out there such given the fairly low ranking Doctor Shemp gets. 74: Metro Speedway (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Honey Speedway aside, I found Metro Speedway from Spyro 2 to be my personal favorite Speedway / Flight level of that from all three PS1 games. While that really isn't saying much overall like how I stated earlier in the countdown of how the Speedway / Flight levels can't hold a candle compared to the more full-fledged 3D levels out there in all 3 Spyro games, it does however say how great, unique and fun a Speedway level should be unlike boring and forgettable to play through ala Night and Crystal Flight from Spyro 1. Metro Speedway overall, was good for what it was for to the series. One of the highlights of Metro Speedway of how I stated earlier in of the countdown in the past few or so Speedway write-ups in the countdown is that, they deserve some credit for having some form of re-playability and having a unique style to them to enjoy with which isn't seen in over half of the Speedway / Flight levels of that from the series, IMO. Metro Speedway includes both of these as note with the unique style coming out of Metro Speedway with unique targets to take out of in the level such as the group of jump-man hanging on to anvils and let out a funny little girl cry when you take each one of them and also with the ability to use the Supercharge power-up to explore more of the level and finishing down Metro Speedway in different and unique ways and like of how I stated a thousand times already, every Video Game out there needs some form of replay value and thankfully that goes true for at least some of the Speedway / Flight levels of those from the Spyro PS1 series. As far as the presentation goes of Metro Speedway, I enjoyed it for what it is. I liked the upbeat dance music playing in part of the level fitting the style of Metro Speedway well and how I will admit on that I am a sucker for marine like levels of such from Video Games and that goes in such for Metro Speedway from Spyro 2.Overall, not much else to say other then the same things that have been said already for other recent Speedway / Flight levels of such on the countdown. Metro Speedway was good for what it was and it shows how true a Speedway / Flight level of such should be done right for in of the Spyro PS1 series. 73: Honey Speedway (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------At long last we finally have our final Speedway / Flight level appearing on the countdown and as such without a doubt easily my personal favorite of the such levels from all three Spyro PS1 games. Honey Speedway from Spyro 3 was a great bonus level for what it was thanks to the unique and style there is in of the presentation of the level with Honey effects that you can't help but take a look at how majestic and beautiful of the level is to the fairly hard and unique of the main race course level of such to finally with the hard and frustrating at times but, just as fun Hunter honey river bonus Dragon Egg mini-game. If it wasn't for the fact still that there is nowhere near the same amount of hidden depth within the gameplay of the Speedway levels of such with Honey Speedway unlike the other full 3D levels out there of the Spyro PS1 series, I would probably have ranked Honey Speedway higher on the countdown but, as such for this drawback causes me to rank it no higher then this on the countdown.Like of how I stated earlier, I like the course race design of Honey Speedway with the eye-popping effects of the level with the light honeycombs to travel through of the level to the full main river of honey. Definitely as far as the cool factor goes of the level design of Honey Speedway, it's better then almost half of the entire levels of Spyro 3. In other ways of how I liked Honey Speedway is, how decently hard the game modes were in of the level with the Honeybee Race, the Hunter mini-game and for the main race course of the level. All three of such were great to play through and thanks to as such for the fairly high difficulty of the level, no two sections in part of Honey Speedway unlike hardly the rest of Speedway / Flight levels out there in of the three games, play out the same and that is a great thing. As such if it wasn't for the fact that myself and maybe other people can agree on for fans of all three classic PS1 games is that, the Speedway / Flight levels all suffer from not enough hidden depth out there in of their main 3D level counterparts of the games and how such how bonus levels are out there of the series, I would ranked Honey Speedway higher on the countdown. Still, Honey Speedway was great for what it is and as such winning as the highest Speedway / Flight level in such for the countdown is great, right? Yes, at least it's something. As such, we now move on to more serious levels in the countdown that all major Spyro fans can about on where only a few selected few here and there care about for the Speedway / Flight levels. We move on in the countdown while Honey Speedway earns it's honors for what it's for overall to the series. 72: Charmed Ridge (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Charmed Ridge is a level that I will admit on back when I was younger playing through of Spyro 3, was a level that I outright hated. The hate that I had with Charmed Ridge when I was younger was about around the same amount of hate I had so with for Haunted Tomb, the worst of the worst Spyro levels on the countdown, IMO. Unlike Haunted Tomb however which is a level that I still hate to this day as now that I am older, Charmed Ridge has grown on me but, overall I find to be yet another level much like other levels that ranked in this countdown section, to be very forgettable and bland and as such is the case with Charmed Ridge. The biggest problem I had with Charmed Ridge when I was younger and however is a problem that I still have with the level to this day is, with how nothing stands out in terms of gameplay design in of the level. Charmed Ridge is at terms a magic level of such which is a type of level that is seen at least twice in every PS1 Spyro game. Unlike of such where I found the other magic levels of the series to be very unique in gameplay and fun to play through such as Wizard Peak, Lofty Castle, Cloud Spires and Enchanted Towers just to name a few, nothing of what I have seen with myself playing through of Charmed Ridge sticks out and for what I have played through of the level, most of the style and gameplay design of Charmed Ridge are basically recycled from the other of such magic levels of the series from the platforms and stairs you have to navigate in using your timed skills watching out with the enemies of the level trying to screw you up of such with magic. That goes in part for the entire level from beginning to end with nothing noteworthy to talk about for, IMO.The only thing noteworthy to take about for in such for Charmed Ridge is that at least the Dragon Egg mini-games are fun to perform in of the level with the Jack and the Beanstalk parody mini-game and taking out the cat witches with Sgt. Byrd of the level were decently enjoyable for what they were worth for. As for everything else for the level goes overall, Charmed Ridge was a very forgettable level and disappointing in such for nothing unique in terms of gameplay design coming out of the level which is something rarely seen from any level of the such from Spyro PS1 franchise. Charmed Ridge gets of what it gets and ranks fairly low in such because so for in the countdown. 71: Buzz's Dungeon (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Much of what I said back in my Doctor Shemp write-up with the problems I had with that level can pretty much be so said for the same thing for Buzz's Dungeon. The boss of so level of Buzz's Dungeon falls flat compared to the rest of the more entertaining and hard boss battle levels out there left to rank on the countdown thanks to how like Doctor Shemp suffers from, is a lack of so variety in part of the battle and how nothing other Buzz performing a few so-so forgettable attacks in of the level that are easy to follow with making Buzz's Dungeon a disappointing and very easy boss battle out there of the series. Buzz's Dungeon was good for what it was and I will admit and give credit on it of how it's the first boss level of such from Spyro 3 and setting up for the more better boss battle levels to follow out there of the game but, aside from that note, Buzz's Dungeon is a real level with no real positive or negative feel to me.Like I stated earlier, the reason of such of why I have Buzz's Dungeon low on the countdown is in part of how extremely easy and bland of the boss battle level is. For the first section in part of the boss battle, you simple charge Buzz's fat behind into the lava and charge around of the stage so you don't get attacked by his spinning roll attack. From there, you move to Buzz launching fire breath attacks and trying to kill you in such for the process but, this is extremely simple and easy to dodge with of the gameplay of the level as all you knew to do from this point to attack him until he is dead is simply charging into the air and knocking him back in the lava until he is dead. On paper it may seem like there is hidden depth behind this boss to make it fun but, for me of what I found of it once you get used to the gameplay mechanics of Buzz in the level, the level gets to be extremely bland and easy as winning a game of Tic-Tac-Toe.Not much else to say. It's always a likely major negative for a level likely ranking low on this countdown if there isn't much in terms of gameplay variety going for it and as such for it not being there for Buzz's Dungeon, earns it a fairly low slot on the countdown. And as such for a final note, the boss creeps me out in this level. You have to admit on how freaky looking Buzz is. Buzz looks like Vector the Crocodile from Sonic and Venusaur from Pokemon had a baby. 0_0 70: Shady Oasis (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------At this point in the countdown, we are almost done with levels that I really have a bad opinion on and find to be very generic and forgettable in of the series and those two such words come into play of what I think for Shady Oasis, IMO. Shady Oasis was extremely generic involving the most basic platforming gameplay elements taking in place of the level from the series. Nothing from playing of what Shady Oasis is made me go "wow" unlike much of other great and unique levels of such from the series. The biggest and likely only real gameplay element that comes in place of the level is that, it's a level that gets yourself around the basics of the headbash move but, Shady Oasis falls short in compared about how really nothing stands out in of the level as other levels such as Fracture Hills and Metropolis were more fun to master the headbash move with and allow more variety taking in place of the level. From the very most generic enemies, I have ever seen from the series to the pretty boring and lifeless Orb mini-games of the levels with you rescuing the hippos from green ooze and chasing around thieves for magic lamps, I have found Shady Oasis to be nothing more then one of the most blandest levels I have ever seen from the series. If it wasn't for the fact that I like the catchy music in of Shady Oasis, likely I would have this level ranked lower possibly in the bottom 20 of my countdown. Not much else to say. Very boring and lifelss level, IMO. 69: Bamboo Terrance (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here is a level that much like Shady Oasis isn't a level that I really hate. Much like Shady Oasis and of the main reason why I have Bamboo Terrance appearing fairly low on the countdown is in part of how nothing of note in terms of level variety and design sticks out of the level with the main player of the level focusing on using basic gameplay mechanics of the level from start to finish. While there are certainly far worse levels out there of the series, there are however much more better levels out there in the series with more variety and style out there more then Bamboo Terrance. Bamboo Terrance is easily a level of such with no real positive or negative feel going for it.Like of what I said earlier, the biggest problem overall I had with Bamboo Terrance is the lack of real variety standing out in of the level with of the bland rhynoc enemies you face off with in of the level and main platforming gameplay you use in of Bamboo Terrance. You start out in of the level helping out the cute little pandas by killing off the extremely bland and easy enemies of the level. Anyone over the age of 5 could possibly get through this level from Point A to Point B with them having no issues of any kind. The enemies of the level which are water buffaloes and rhynocs with umbrellas are easy as cake pie to take care of. Simple fire attacks from Spyro will take them down with ease. A level from the Spyro series of such with both of note with nothing of in terms of variety sticking out and unique of the level and in part of easy and bland enemies of the level, is bad and not a very thing of note since this is what makes most of the remaining Spyro levels left to rank on the countdown unique and beautiful to play of in.Aside from slightly mastering more on your hover and glide skills in one small section in of the level much like of the enemies of Bamboo Terrance, nothing and I mean nothing of anything that will knock your socks of with in terms of level gameplay design appears in of the level. No use of cannons of like to use from Breeze Harbour and Zephyr, no fun magic elements of the level of such from Crystal Islands and Wizard Peak and no real presentation of the level sticking out unique unlike of such from the fantastic and beautiful looking Magma Cone, Aquaria Towers, Metropolis, Seashell Shore, Lost Fleet and countless others of levels from the PS1 series. Not much else to say. Bamboo Terrance is a real level with no real positive or negative thing to say and as such makes Bamboo Terrance just another fairly forgettable level of such in this section of my countdown. 68: Stone Hill (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Stone Hill is a level that while I will admit on was a decent level of such to play through in, I have to rank the level low in part of the countdown for thanks to how more unique and original of Spyro levels were as the PS1 series progressed on and how compared to the other Spyro levels out there of today, Stone Hill is very bland and forgettable to them, thanks to how simple and extremely easy of the level is. Stone Hill does deserve some credit for bringing back nostalgic memories for me as it was the first real main level I played through of the series but, other then of that note in due respect to Stone Hill, it cannot be ranked any higher of what I see from it due to how simple and bland the level is compared to the later levels out there of the franchise. As of note if you easily tell by just watching the Youtube video gameplay link I posted in for Stone Hill in this write-up, Stone Hill is easily bland and somewhat lifeless out there compared to the much other levels out there of the series, thanks to the main area of gameplay in some sections of Stone Hill taking in place of the level in of a grass field with like say maybe only one yak of such in the level to take out in of sections of the level. I understand it's only in part of a main level from Spyro 1 but, in compared to the other older Spyro 1 levels out there of say like Dark Hollow and Town Square, Stone Hill falls short in compared to them as it didn't offer much and enough gameplay action going for it in of the level and involving the most basic like gameplay elements in of the level but, this is acceptable since it's only the first real main level out there of Spyro 1.Overall, Stone Hill wasn't a bad level overall. It just falls somewhat overall as a forgettable level out there compared to the more livid and more enjoyable levels out there of the Spyro PS1 Trilogy. Memorable overall in terms of from Spyro 1 but, nowhere near as the best and most entertaining compared of such to the other levels of such from Spyro 2 and 3. Not much else to say. Sorry, Stone Hill. You are a decent level but, there is no denying that these problems causes me to rank you enough fairly low on for my countdown. 67: Desert Ruins (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Much of what I said in of the Shady Oasis and Bamboo Terrance write-ups, can pretty much be said for the same things I judged those levels on for Desert Ruins from Spyro 3. While it's a level that I have no real big negative opinion and hate on for unlike the other so levels that appeared low in part of the countdown, I feel like nothing of note other then of the occasional frustrating and annoying elements moments at times I had with the level from back when I was younger and now older more into gaming with, makes feel overall in such to Bamboo Terrance and Shady Oasis, another fairly forgettable level out there in of the Spyro PS1 games and nothing worth rewarding and cool to speak of for the level. The biggest problem I had with Desert Ruins in such of what I find it to be just another generic and forgettable level out there in of the series is, with the sloppy gameplay elements of the level. The main gameplay focus problem of Desert Ruins is that while moving from platform to platform of the level, odd and cheap gameplay antics from the enemies appear annoying often of the level and feel extremely unfair in of the main game design of the level to the player. In such for this is with the scorpion and metal heat man enemies of the level loving to make your play through of the level a world of pain always acting like cheap doo doo heads and landing an attack on you every second you come near contact of them where you felt like you did nothing wrong. The issues I had with the enemy AI of Desert Ruins are some of the most annoying and cheap, I have ever seen from the series.Another of note of why I do not like Desert Ruins that much is, with pacing time design issues of the level. Due to the fact of how much of the level is surrounded by deadly green ooze, you have to spend some time playing through of the level using your patience and timed skills to get from platform to platform in order to complete the level and for most of the time this does not work out for the better. Why? Because of such, most of the enemies of Desert Ruins surround the main non-ooze sections of the level all over the place and love to make slight screw-ups in your gameplay and bring more unfair gameplay elements taking in place of the level. As odd as it may seem, I do not outright hate Desert Ruins. I will give the level credit for being a level unlike anything else out there in of the series but in terms of execution, Desert Ruins falls down hard of this as a problem because of the many cheap and annoying gameplay elements taking in place of the level where it's noticeable to any Spyro fan out there. Because of such, Desert Ruins is another fairly forgettable level out there much like other levels that ranked this fairly low in part of my countdown. 66: Cloud Temples (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------At this point in the countdown, we have arrived in this section of the countdown where we move away from levels of Spyro PS1 series that I personally found to be very forgettable and had a somewhat bad opinion on to levels that I just found to be merely average or serviceable levels out there in of the levels. The words serviceable and average are easily the best words to describe Cloud Temples in a nutshell, IMO.The reason of such is that what and why that I find and think of Cloud Temples as a mere okay level in of the series is, of how nothing special and unique sticks out of the level to make it stand out in my eyes unlike pretty much of the remaining Spyro levels there are out there for me to rank on, thanks to their unique style in of their levels. I felt that the gameplay elements of Cloud Temples while were decently fun to get through such were bland and somewhat forgettable to me such as the enemies that are trapped in stone and whenever you come close to them, come back to life and attack you. While at this stands out in Cloud Temples unlike of such from other levels in the series, it felt boring for me wanting more out of the main level design and it felt something was missing for me while I was playing through of Cloud Temples and that was that I felt I didn't get enough fun out of the level wanting more out of the main gameplay of Cloud Temples. On the saving grace for Cloud Temples however is that, I found the Orb mini-games of the level to be some of the most fun out there better then most of the levels from Spyro 2. The bell tower mini-game was fun and enjoyable to get through as such with the annoying at times but just as fun, Agent Zero hide and seek mini-game. This gives Cloud Temples some level variety going for it which isn't seen for the most time I was playing through of the level in of the main level design, IMO.Overall, Cloud Temples was a level that wasn't bad or wasn't that good. I would easily say just average is the best world on a scale to rank the level on. I wished there was more to the main level design of the level and the level offered more unique styles to the main gameplay but, whatever. Cloud Temples was an overall okay level for me and as such earns it a slot in the section of the countdown where the average and okay levels get ranked on in. 65: Alpine Ridge (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Much like of what I stated in the previous write-up for Cloud Temples, I found Alpine Ridge from Spyro 1 to be a okay level. In of such of why I have Alpine Ridge ranked this fairly low on my countdown is that of such, I found Alpine Ridge to be a very basic and bland level out there compared to the more hidden depth and more unique levels out there in of the series and as such for other Spyro 1 levels out there in general. Not good but while also not that bad, Alpine Ridge is much like Cloud Temples, a passable average level, IMO.The biggest of such of why I have Alpine Ridge ranked in part of this fairly low ranking on my countdown is how, nothing stands out if of the main level design of Alpine Ridge with as such involving basic Point A to Point B gameplay design for the player to travel in of the level. The only real notable gameplay element that I found that sticks out in Alpine Ridge unlike other levels out making it somewhat unique is with the big yellow mammoth like enemies you come across in of the level. Also of note even though Alpine Ridge involves some of the main gameplay design of the level with magic elements putting your time skills to the test, nothing of the magic like elements out of Alpine Ridge felt fresh and exciting for me to play in compared to the other magic like levels out there of Spyro 1 from the same homeworld of Alpine Ridge like High Caves and Wizard Peak. I will give credit on how for a Spyro 1 level, Alpine Ridge wasn't half bad and acceptable enough to play through in but for the overall levels out there in of the rest of the Spyro PS1 games, I felt Alpine Ridge falls short and felt like to much of a level that plays way to safe and basic in of the main gameplay functions of the level with nothing exciting, bad, unique and poor coming out of the main level gameplay design. Just merely average and as such causes me to rank much like Cloud Temples a slot somewhere in the average like section of the countdown and as such this is the best I could of put it as. 64: Toasty (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here is a level that much like Stone Hill is a level that I found to be decently enjoyable to play in but, of such that causes me to rank Toasty fairly low in part of the countdown is much of what I said back with my Stone Hill write-up. In terms of compared to the later levels out there from the entire PS1 classic franchise, Toasty falls short in compared to how not much aside from nostalgic reasons is helping it get praise for what it is and as such if it wasn't for the fact that it was level from Spyro 1 and Toasty was the first real boss level out getting the franchise started with, I would of likely had Toasty ranked even lower on the countdown. It's not a bad level by any means but, in compared to the more in-depth levels of such and other boss levels in general out there of the franchise, there is not much going for Toasty aside from memories of the level back for me when I was growing up.One thing I liked from Toasty however is the annoying at times but, unique dog like enemies you come across of the level. I always found them when I was younger playing through of Spyro 1, a handful and a you know what a pain in to deal with but, they were cool at the time for what they were worth fighting for the level design for a Spyro 1 level. Aside from that note and why it's serviceable for what it was at for the time since it was only a Spyro 1 level, a level is a level that needs to be accounted for in for it's problems in and as such the biggest problem I had with Toasty overall is that aside from the nostalgic memories going for it, the level doesn't hold up well compared to that of even other levels out there of Spyro 1. Only 100 gems to collect? Only 1 Dragon to free? The boss being a piece of cake to beat through? Yes, these are all notable problems of the level and it would have been nice haven't that while that more action took place in of the level like of such of the more in-depth, better and fun earlier levels out there of Spyro 1 like of what I said for Toasty, Town Square and Dark Hollow easily being the better of the other two levels ranked so far in of the countdown.Still, since it's a level that I can't help but bring and remember great things from on and helping setting the standard for better levels out there of the PS1 Spyro franchise, I can't rank Toasty as a level I really hate on, just pure of an average overall level if we compare it to that of other levels out there of the franchise. A level great for of that from Spyro 1 but, easily just plain average out there for of the entire PS1 Spyro series. Not much else to say for Toasty other then the decent memories it brought back to me and for other Spyro PS1 fans out there. 63: Artisans Home (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------At the point in the countdown we move away from levels that I found to be just merely average and okay to play through to levels that I found to be overall decently enjoyable for what they were from the series to play through and what way better to start this section of in the countdown with the very first level of the franchise that started the franchise off for what it was from over a decade ago with the Artisans homeworld? The Artisans homeworld was great for starting out the basic gameplay functions and controls of how Spyro 1 felt and did a great job of such for bringing in a great future of the more in depth gameplay to follow for the remaining other two classic PS1 games out there of the franchise. However of such because of these great memories and great ways of starting the series off with, why do I have this level ranked somewhat low on the countdown? While Artisans Home is a level don't to be taken seriously as a full level, a level is level in of this countdown and in compared to it's better and unique designed homeworld levels out there of say from Spyro 2, 3 and even of such of others from Spyro 1, the Artisans Home level suffers from just learning the real basic gameplay elements out there of the series and nothing else with no real depth going for it. Sure, this is understandable since it's the FIRST REAL left out there of the classic PS1 franchise, as now that I am older and as such comparing to it when I was younger, I felt like there could of likely been more gameplay elements going in for the Artisans homeworld to make it seem even better then just above average all around for what I think and see of the homeworld. More then 100 gems to collect would have been nice also but, you can't have everything.Still, I can get behind those flaws in compared to the more later levels out of the franchise and give praise overall for Artisans Home for being a decent level from start to finish it for what it was worth for back in the day and still holding up decently well despite of the real first level of the franchise being more then a decade old. The Artisans Home gets what it gets and it's simply overall a decent above average level out there. Nothing more and nothing less to speak of. 62: Cloud Spires (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------I can't believe the lack of Spyro videos on Youtube. Annoying at times trying to find gameplay videos of such to show for levels in the countdown for memory purposes for people. At any rate we move on to the next level in the countdown, Cloud Spires from Spyro 3. For what I think of the level overall, Cloud Spires was a decently enjoyable level for me to play through of from Spyro 3 from beginning to end and while I will admit on that more style in terms of the gameplay design of the level could stand out more of what I feel about of the level, I found Cloud Spires to be a decent while not the best or worst level out there of the PS1 franchise to play in of.As for such at the always start section of my write-ups, I give away my overall bad opinions of such for levels. The biggest problem I had with Cloud Spires overall and such causing me to rank it only in as a pure average level out there of the series unlike of an amazing and fantastic level of such to play through of the level is that, I felt like more out of the level design could of possibly been shown better for in of Cloud Spires and of that the level had more potential of such to made a better level of such. Aside from Cloud Spires being a level of such involving around mastering the skills of your glide abilities in of that getting through some of the sections in of the level with real skill involving of so with your glide abilities, nothing of note in terms of level design felt unique from Cloud Spires and felt more could of came out of the main level and while it had note of using your main glide abilities to high notes of such of the level, it's only of use really use of mastering in only very few like portions of such in Cloud Spires. I am not sure what it but, I felt overall in terms of level design, more could of came out of the level rather then the level playing safe being a level fairly easy of such to get through of from Point A to Point B in.Still with these problems, I found Cloud Spires to be a decent level of such to play in thanks to how with the very fun like bonus Dragon Egg mini-games to take in part in of Cloud Spires from the classic Spyro 1 style rescuing a Dragon Egg from a thief to of such creating a sun with sun seeds using your reflexes to help have the sun seeds not die out on you and the like. These were clever and while may have not of been the best enjoyable side mini-games to take in part in of the series, they were good for giving Cloud Spires some personality of the level which can't really be said for the main level design of such in Cloud Spires. While it's disappointing that I felt more potential could of came out from Cloud Spires to become of such a great level to play in rather then just a mere above average level out of the series, Cloud Spires was good for what it was thanks to unique and fun Dragon Egg mini-games to take in part of the level. Overall, decent level through and through and while I wished more could of came out of the level within the main core gameplay design of Cloud Spires which is seen in many of the other levels out there from Spyro 3, Cloud Spires was good for what it was and you can't everything out of a level and such earns a slot somewhere in the above average like levels of such in the countdown. 61: Summer Forest (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we ourselves our first Spyro 2 homeworld on the countdown and I have to say first and for most that Summer Forest is beautiful. Summer Forest is easily one of the best presentation wise levels in of the entire PS1 franchise with beautiful music, beautiful effects of the level with great underwater like gameplay elements and the like of the level. So in short why I do find the level to be beautiful in it's own way but it appears in such somewhat low on the countdown? Compared to of that to the even more beautiful and unique levels in of Spyro 2 with Winter Tundra and Autumn Plains, I found Summer Forest to fall short of that because the main gameplay elements of the level are just basically having the player getting used to the basic action of the Spyro series. Not saying it's a bad thing since there is this sort of thing in the like for every Spyro PS1 game out there but, I wished on how more depth action in of the gameplay took in place of Summer Forest like so of the better homeworlds there are left to rank in of the countdown. Could you even possibly die in Summer Forest?Still, I found Summer Forest to be a decent level for only in for what it was for and that was getting the player used to the main gameplay actions of the like in the Spyro PS1 series. Not much else to say other then it was good for what it was worth and while I know for a fact that a homeworld level should not be taken to seriously of the like as a main wonderful level of such in the series but, a level is a level and as such compared to the even more awesome like homeworld levels out there of the Spyro PS1 franchise and of that to other main levels of the like with unique style of charm more to Summer Forest which isn't much it with, it was a decent level through and through to play in. 60: Bentley's Outpost (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Speaking a first for levels appearing on the countdown, here we have our first of the four main side quest playable levels of such featuring other characters other then of Spyro to play through in of Spyro 3, Bentley the Yeti of such with his level, Bentley's Outpost. I found the level of the like from Spyro 3 to be decently enjoyable for what it was to play through but, of such of a few own personal albeit I will admit with a few bias problems of such I had with the level and of the character in general, I thought of the overall level of Bentley's Outpost was an overall decent fun experience for me to play in of. Not the best level out there but, far from being the worst level out there in of the series. Let's start with those critical bias problems I had with Bentley's Outpost and get them out of the way of the like in the write-up since I am sure on many people will disagree with me on but, of the four main extra characters you could control of Spyro 3 in certain gameplay situations of levels of Spyro 3 other then the main dragon himself which we of Agent 9, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley and Sheila, I found Bentley to be least favorite of the four main extra characters you could play as in of the game and as such I could not get into the guy very much on Bentley's main gameplay concept while unique of such much like the other three extra characters you could play as from Spyro 3, I felt of such from Bentley, that I could not enjoy much from his main gameplay elements out of his character as while he was character that could easily destroy enemies for you. Bentley controlled like a poor broken tank in of the main game design of his character from Spyro 3 unlike of that from the stealthy Agent 9, cool and fast Sheila and unique with combat of levels with Sgt. Byrd. I know there are going to be people out there that are likely going to disagree with me on this but, I felt more could of possibly came out more of gameplay design of Bentley rather then just a typical poor speed tank of a character you see a thousand times in of Video Games. In of his level which is of Bentley's Outpost, I felt disappointed in such for Bentley's character in terms of the main platform design of the level with of such if you wanted to re-jump back from a certain high platform section of the level which I felt happened for me and likely you as well more often then you think and Bentley is not able of such to perform this which in jumping a main focus of gameplay design of the Spyro series and this of such compared to the other three characters that could do this of Spyro 3, made me somewhat dislike of such on Bentley's main character. He had some great things going for his character but, more on the Con side then of the Pro side, IMO. Problems aside for what I feel from Bentley's main character overall in terms of gameplay functions and controls, I found controlling and getting used to the main design of Bentley in of his level with Bentley's Outpost was good for what it was such getting used to the character with as using his club to destroy of basically anything in your path of that with the circle button, worked out well. Using his club in ways of Bentley's Outpost were unique in ways such as timing your skills down correctly to spin snowball attacks back at your opponents and controlling and moving of certain blocked objects in your way of the level were no problem of Bentley, which was nice.Even though I am disappointed with while of such his power like design makes him unique of Spyro 3, I still feel from when I was younger and from now today that more could of came out more and more from Bentley's main gameplay concept to control in of certain sections of the like in Spyro 3. Still problems aside which were fairly easy to past by on, Bentley's Outpost was good for what it was and that was helping out the player explore more on Bentley's main gameplay concept of such for Spyro 3. 59: Beast Makers Home (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Of all of the homeworld levels of such from Spyro 1 remaining to rank of the countdown, I will admit on back when I was younger and still a level I have with a problem with of somewhat to this day still with of Spyro 1, I didn't like the Beast Makers Homeworld very much and next to of that other then not counting the fail homeworld that is of Gnorc Genxus, I found Beast Makers to be my least favorite overall Homeworld level of the game when I was younger thanks to when I was still learning around the main gameplay mechanics of the game, the Beast Makers Homeworld level would involve sometimes around very cheap gameplay elements of the homeworld with of the annoying pig enemies rooming around most of the level and causing any form of movement near one of them would involve, one of them loving to tackle you down and trying to kill you over nothing you felt like you did nothing wrong with. God, those guys were so annoying. Thanks to how now that I am older, smarter and easier to understand around more gameplay mechanics of the like in of the classic PS1 franchise, I found the Beast Makers homeworld growing on me and not really disliking of it in of such today and finding it to be a decent homeworld to play through of Spyro 1 from start to finish but, thanks to even now by today's standards of where I found still cheap and annoying gameplay elements come into place of the level with of the wild and annoying pig and electric fields going off in of the level, I feel like while this made the homeworld unique, It slowed the lack of a main explore element unlike of that of other homeworld levels out there of the franchise that make them entertaining and fun to play through. The main gameplay I felt for Beast Makers felt to much of an emphasis on slow and steady patience of the level and it while again it made the world unique, it felt like something that wasn't really needed for the level in such of where the more fantastic Peace Keepers, Magic Crafters and Dream Wavers homeworld levels of from Spyro 1 didn't have of this problem added in of the main gameplay elements and were more fantastic and fun homeworld levels then overall of that of Beast Makers, IMO.Issues aside which much like the other above average levels that have been already ranked in of this section of the countdown, I found the Beast Makers Homeworld to be a decent homeworld out there to the franchise despite some notable problems of the homeworld and while it was not the best out there of the series, it's far from the worst homeworld level out there of the franchise with the already stated much worse Gnorc Gnexus and Spyro 3 homeworld levels ranked much lower on the countdown in compared to Beast Makers. Not much else to say other then just another decent above average overall level of like to the classic PS1 franchise. 58: Scorch's Pit (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------At this point in the countdown now for me, it's getting somewhat harder and harder to rank the remaining levels of such from the Spyro PS1 franchise. For the most part with a few left to do to give write-ups on in the countdown, all of these levels are levels that only found to have only a few minor flaws in of them causing me to rank them only out of the top half of the countdown and were pretty decent levels of such to play through and of the like so we start this section of in the countdown with another boss like battle from the series with Scorch's Pit from Spyro 3. For the most part, I enjoyed the level for what it was and while I will admit on that I had a few minor flaws to give away here and there in of the level, most notably with Scorch's Pit being a bit too easy for my taste, it was a great solid level to play through from start to finish. The main gameplay elements of such that play out in Scorch's Pit are somewhat very similar to that of Gulp's Overlook from Spyro 2. Scorch launches three of the same types of enemies to attack you with such as the annoying suicidal chinchillas with TNT boxes from Icy Peak and the walking crab like enemies you see in of the underwater levels of the Spyro series and you walk around of the battlefield picking up weapons of attack to use on Scorch. Speaking of Scorch in of the main gameplay of this level, my biggest problem I had with of the level overall was with how once you got used to the main gameplay elements of Scorch's Pit, the level becomes very linear and easy to play through which no matter what it is for any type of level out there in of the Spyro series if it's a boss battle or a bonus like level, is somewhat overall disappointing to feel as variety and charm is what makes the remaining of such Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank on the countdown fantastic and great, were missing from Scorch's Pit. The only other flaw I had with of the level was with how Scorch never actually tries to attack you. The only way you could get yourself attacked from the main gameplay design of Scorch's Pit are from the enemies he launches from his eggs and were only like of four different enemies he could spawn to attack you with. I just feel overall more could of came from Scorch's Pit to be a great boss like battle rather then just a decent one, IMO. Overall, while Scorch's Pit was not perfect and disappointingly too easy for my taste, the level has charm and earns points for being unique unlike of such of any other boss battle like of such of Scorch's Pit from the entire series other then a few minor gameplay elements of the level taken from Gulp's Overlook. I certainly have seen better and worse levels out there of the series and as such Scorch's Pit earns points for being a decent enjoyable boss battle level to play through from start to finish and as such, earns it a slot in of the above average overall level section in my countdown. 57: Town Square (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here is a level that much of what I said in of the earlier write-ups for Spyro 1 levels out there in of this classic franchise already ranked in part of the countdown with of that of Toasty and Stone Hill being the levels I am talking about with, I found Town Square to be a pretty solid and fun level to play through from start to finish for every time of the like I have myself beating through of Spyro 1, simply ranks somewhat low and out of the top half of the countdown because of how fairly simple and easy in of the gameplay design of Town Square is compared to the even more unique and fun levels of such from Spyro 2 and 3 are from the series. In as of a Spyro 1 level, Town Square was great for what it was and still is overall to the series a decent level but, in compared to the even more vivid and unique levels of such from Spyro 2 and 3 and as the series in total which the main rule is overall in of the rankings in this countdown, it's hard to look on much for Town Square as the best level of all time. Still, pretty decent and fun for what Town Square was.One thing of such that I liked from Town Square and why I still find it today to be a pretty decent level to play through is of how the level on it's own right set the standard in some ways to the main gamer playing through of the Spyro PS1 series getting used to semi-mastering around the main mechanics of gliding in of the series. While I will admit on how more in depth, fantastic and unique levels would appear in of the later Spyro PS1 games in the franchise, nothing can be taken away from Town Square as it was the first real level of the series that the gamer had to really master around the glide mechanics of in the Spyro series and can be decently hard and enjoyable in of the main gameplay design of the level to younger gamers out there including myself when playing through Spyro 1 for the first time in. Heh.My only real other flaw I had with Town Square and likely main reason I cannot have it in the Top section half of the levels from the Spyro series in my countdown is with how easy as cake pie the main game design and enemies you face off with of Town Square are and I found from when I was younger and still from today, mastering the flight mechanics of the level with Spyro were harder then of the enemies and game design you face of in of Town Square. The only two enemies you face off in of Town Square are bulls that go down with any attack and love to charge right after you getting themselves killed with an easy charge or flame attack and of the gnorc like flagmen of the level which are also just as easy to beat. I know it's a level from only from Spyro 1 but, it would of been nice haven't more variety could of came out of the main enemy design of Town Square which from back of the day could of been possibly be set in of the main game.Overall, despite some notable faults with how easy Town Square is and of how compared to the more unique levels of such from Spyro 2 and 3 are and how bland of such the level is compared to today to the other two games in of the PS1 franchise, Town Square was a pretty solid level to play through from beginning to end and should be a level that every type of fan in the series should love in some shape way or form and that goes for the remaining 56 levels to rank of the countdown. Decent level, overall for Town Square with not much else to say. 56: Colossus (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------If there is one level from the entire Spyro series where I felt that more potential could of easily been included in of the level and become one of the best in the entire series rather then just a good level with a few notable flaws here in of the main game design of the level, Colossus from Spyro 2 is easily one of the first levels of such that come to my mind in such about for from the series. The biggest problem overall of such I had with Colossus and why I have it missing out with in of the top section of levels in the countdown is that aside from a few notable gameplay concepts that first debuted in of the series in of the Colossus level, not much in terms of the overall level design stand out in Colossus making it unique of that compared to that of the many other unique styled gameplay levels there are left to rank on the countdown. The only real main gameplay concept that takes place of Colossus giving it points of personality in terms of level design is, with of the springboard flying power-up the player is able to use of the like of choice in of the level giving the player to fully explore more and more on Colossus. This while was nice and cool to explore of Colossus, there wasn't much you could do in terms of exploration as this type of power-up was really only needed for a few and far between sections of the level thanks to how most of the main level gameplay sections of the level were easily linked up with one other to get from Point A to Point B with. More use on making the main power-up like gameplay function of Colossus would of been nice as this is really the only thing that help keeps Colossus somewhat unique of that unlike any other level out there in of the Spyro PS1 Trilogy.Speaking of such, without much of the springboard power-up of use of the game design of the level, there wasn't much in terms of variety taking in place of the level. The main non-springboard gameplay design of Colossus were simple as getting from Point A to Point B to finish in of the level and the enemies of such with of the Yaks and Goats you come across in of the level, are nothing special and easily forgettable to the series overall. On the plus side, I found the presentation of Colossus to be one of the best out there from Spyro 2. The music is fantastic matching the main style of the level well and I found the Orb like mini-games of Colossus to be very fun. I always found myself coming back and enjoying fun out of the Ice Hockey mini-game of the level back when I was a kid and still from today. The main gameplay design in Colossus isn't bad, it just felt that overall for me, Colossus could have more potential out there to be more enjoyable of such to play through rather then being a level that plays too safe and easy overall for a Spyro level, especially compared to the other earlier levels of such from Spyro 2. Still problems aside, Colossus was a pretty decent level. I just wished more unique style could of came from the level like of such rather then being again a level that I felt played out too safe and easy for my taste. As such, causes me to have it out of the Top 50 in the countdown. 55: Agent 9's Lab (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------As for all the four extra like playable characters go in of Spyro 3, I found Sheila and Sgt. Byrd to be favorites of the bunch thanks to how unique and more in-depth in terms of gameplay design they are for most of the sections in of the level they were playable in of Spyro 3. I loved Sheila's unique take on platforming elements of the sections she was playable in such as double jumping and able to stomp over enemies and I loved how you go explore a main level of such with Sgt. Byrd with his flying and how you to time your attacks and skills right on your enemies. As for as Agent 9 goes while I didn't like him as much for Sheila and Sgt. Byrd, I found him to be a decently enjoyable character in terms of gameplay he added in for levels he was playable in for Spyro 3 and how easy he was to control unlike of such for Bentley, IMO. Agent 9's Lab was a great level overall and a great level of such nice for getting used to the main gameplay mechanics of Agent 9 in Spyro 3.One unique thing that I loved from Agent 9 was how original of a character he is much like of the other three characters you could play as in of Spyro 3. Agent 9's main gameplay element you had with his character was with him being able to take out enemies with his laser gun you could fire with at any time with. With of the laser blaster Agent 9 was controlling with of the level made for with unique level design thoughts in his level such as collecting treasure from above you in the air and setting yourself near force field destroying away any locked paths and enemies in your path ahead and overall thanks to this laser mechanic made up for again, very unique level design for Agent 9's level.Another of note of why I like Agent 9's Lab as a pretty good overall is with the just as hard but, fun extra like mini-games you could take in part of the level such as with the birds living themselves inside of the professor's lab and you have to take them out yourself with which was rewarding as it was the first real section of the level where you had take and learn full control of aim gameplay control with Agent 9.While Agent 9's Lab was great overall, there is one notable flaw in of the level that keeps it from almost making the top half of the level section in my countdown to the even more better levels out there in of this classic PS1 franchise and that is how I felt more of an emphasis on platforming would play more in of the level well for Agent 9's main character game design in of the level rather then all on full laser gameplay of the level. Both Sheila and Sgt. Byrd's are seen as better characters in my book as they both control great and have great gameplay effects on their levels with exploring and design with features of those two characters that Agent 9 does not have such as double jumping and flying given both of those elements make for their levels offering more variety in style in of such to Agent 9.Still, Agent 9's Lab was a great level, great character and involved great and enjoyable gameplay elements of the like. If it wasn't also for the fact that the remaining likely 50 or so levels to rank in of the countdown offer even better overall gameplay mechanics and overall flawless IMO with nothing to say bad for, Agent 9's Lab would be higher on the list but, overall it was a pretty overall good level from Spyro 3 as such for other levels nearly missing out in of the Top 50 in of my countdown. 54: Icy Peak (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------I am sucker for falling in love fast with for Ice / Snow themed like levels of such from any Video Game out there and that includes the multiple like levels of such from the classic PS1 Spyro franchise. With of this, I found Icy Peak from Spyro 3 to be a pretty good level overall with of such of other then of a few minor problems I had with balancing gameplay issues overall at times for Icy Peak with myself playing through from the level when I was younger and from now that I am older playing through of the game, Icy Peak is notable for bringing back great memories to remember by from Spyro 3 and like how I felt overall in of the level other then of a few minor issues that keep Icy Peak out of the Top 50 level section in my countdown, Icy Peak was another just plain fun and rock solid level out there from the series. Not the best sure but, overall Icy Peak was a good level. The best gameplay elements of the like I enjoyed from Icy Peak overall is, of how unique the level is and how it brings something fresh and cool to the main gameplay design not seen at time, even with of that of Icy Peak from Spyro 3. The main gameplay mechanic of Icy Peak is involving yourself controlling over cannons first appearing from Spyro 2 in the franchise, and using this as such to destroy enemies in the air and to destroy ice like crystal gates blocking the main path of the level of Icy Peak along with blocking other things such as optional whirlwind to take in to explore more and more in of the level design of Icy Peak. I liked how fresh this cannon mechanic was in of Icy Peak of how thanks to how underutilized this was to in the past of the other Spyro games out there. The biggest problem overall I had with Icy Peak and the reason of such of why I have nearly missing out in the top half section of Spyro levels in my countdown is that, I found the enemies you come across in for most of the time with in of Icy Peak are, some of the most cheapest, annoying and frustrating like gameplay elements I have ever seen from a Spyro level and get to be way to grating on the nerves to handle with. This of such I am talking about are the ever annoying chinchilla like suicidal weirdo creatures with TNT boxes you come across in for most of the portion of the Icy Peak level. These enemies love to make your life playing through of the level, a pain in the you know what. Once they lock on to Spyro, they love to charge right after of one another as a group, skate across the ice portions of the level they appear in and kill yourself at any rate possible as fast as they can. This is of such a problem as they would often have the TNT chinchillas appear in the level in some of the worst gameplay like situations you had to go and perform in of the level at the most worst of times and I felt the AI for the enemies for Icy Peak were too unfair and of being way too cheap of such to the main game level design of Icy Peak to the player and as such makes up for what I feel is the cheapest and most unfair level in terms of enemy design ever taken from a Spyro PS1 level next to Desert Ruins.Still, I look beyond past this problem as such because of how everything else of Icy Peak for the most part, is so well crafted that it's hard to look beyond of the enemies in of this level being important to the main gameplay design out there of to Icy Peak and as to the series as a whole. Icy Peak was again, a great level to that overall to the Spyro PS1 series. Not much else to say. 53: Dark Hollow (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here is a level that much like of what I stated in the past in of the countdown with a few other Spyro 1 levels that appeared in this section of the countdown, just misses out on the level being ranked any higher on my countdown is because of how more unique, fun and more in-depth in terms of gameplay design would be in of the main levels from Spyro 2 and 3 for the Spyro PS1 Trilogy. Dark Hollow is no exception of this and despite that of being easily overshadowed by the more unique and more designed levels there are in terms from the later Spyro games in this classic franchise causing me to rank it lower a notch in the countdown, Dark Hollow was a fun level overall and never boring and too simple in such to get tired for compared to that of other earlier levels of such from Spyro 1. Great level. One notable gameplay I loved from Dark Hollow and why of such I find it to be by far my favorite beginning level of such from Spyro 1 is, how the level set the standard of normal and fun gameplay elements of Dark Hollow appeared in of the level and later appearing in of future levels of such with the series such as finding a lost key and opening it like so with a locked treasure chest located randomly of the level and battling against enemies blocking your attacks with fire and having to take them out with your regular charge attacks. It was nice for a level that of so for Dark Hollow to follow around with main gameplay mechanics that became a fun and stable concept that would follow in Spyro 2 and 3 levels and followed well fitting the series well and what makes it special in terms of gameplay design.I loved the presentation of this level and haven't this countdown be ranked fully only on presentation, Dark Hollow would be ranked much higher in so for the countdown. I love the clam and soft music and style in of Dark Hollow and another reason proving well in of the Spyro games that Stewart Copeland is a gaming god for creating work well to gaming. So with this of how great Dark Hollow is, why do I have the level even missing out in of the Top 50 of levels in the countdown? Like I stated earlier, in compared to the more unique gameplay design there would be in of the future in most of the Spyro 2 and 3 levels of this classic franchise, Dark Hollow is overshadowed of so by this compared as the level itself is easy and straightforward to get through in terms of game design overall to the series and I can understand that as such that it's only a level from Spyro 1 but, a level is a level overall and I hate to probably act so unfair of this but, I hope people that read my write-up sections in for levels of my countdown, understand well and why with my rankings for most of the levels in part of the countdown.Dark Hollow was a great level overall and if it wasn't for that of the more once again already stated unique and more flawless of problems there would be in of the remaining of such levels to rank in of the countdown, I would have Dark Hollow ranked higher in the countdown but due to the overall series of levels in total of the countdown, I have to take Dark Hollow down a slight notch out of the top half section of levels out of the countdown. However, this does not make Dark Hollow a bad level by any means. Dark Hollow was a great level from start to finish and a level that is great and well to my early childhood as a gamer growing up. 52: Spike's Arena (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we another boss level appearing on the countdown and definitely one of the better boss levels of so from the Spyro PS1 series, IMO with of that of Spike's Arena from Spyro 3. Spike's Arena was a great boss level thanks to how challenging and fun the main gameplay elements would be of that in of Spike's Arena for most of the time unlike of such from the boss levels in from the series ranking low in of my countdown. For a boss battle level, Spike's Arena was great but as far as Boss Battle levels go IMO, there are still a few that I would find it better overall with but otherwise, good level for what it was for to the series. My favorite overall element that I loved from Spike's Arena that also causes me with of having Spike's Arena placed nearly in the top half section of levels in my countdown is, with how fresh and unique the main gameplay was for the battle with of Spike. Spike's main attack is using a flash like cannon being able of such to lock on to you with and you have to keep up speed avoiding the so flash attacks from his cannon by charging around the main battlefield of the boss level. This element was unique and fun as such that Spike would always aim and lock on to you firing away with his weapon in any movement and shape you moved in of the level. This made for of such a hard yet at the same time, very fun level for a boss level of such from the series.Another cool gameplay element I liked from Spike's Arena is taking sometimes some of a mixture of luck and skill using energy ball attacks that randomly generate in of the level at times and knocking them as main attacks to kill with for Spike. This again makes up for sometimes very hard elements to sometimes even get to be grating and frustrating with of to the player. If now with myself being a Spyro PS1 expert to this day, Spike can for a good and fun challenging level to play through and as such why I really liked the level for it was.Overall, Spike's Arena was a great boss encounter for a level in the series and definitely one of the better non-finale boss levels of such from the series in from every Spyro game, IMO. I really can't think of anything bad to say for the level and for this point in the countdown it was very hard for me to decide on how levels should be placed in for the countdown and for overall for I feel, #52 is a great spot for putting Spike's Arena in for my countdown. Great boss level. Not much else to say and complain with for. 51: Glimmer (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Just barely missing out of cracking the Top 50 of such Spyro PS1 levels in the countdown, goes to the first very level of such with the player starting out with in of Spyro 2 and bringing back great nostalgic and fun memories for fans of these classic games including myself in is with Glimmer from Spyro 2. Glimmer while just misses out on not being ranked any higher on the countdown due to the how many more in depth and unique levels there would appear in of Spyro 2 and from this entire classic franchise in general and how this notable this problem is for being with Glimmer overshadowed with of such to the even more fun and original levels out from the series and remaining to rank in of the countdown.Still slight issues aside, Glimmer was a great beginning level for any Spyro gamer to enjoy and have fun with thanks to how more of the level design personality from Spyro 1 in to Spyro 2 was improved with, setting up for bigger and some of the best levels I have seen overall from the series as a total. Glimmer is also notable for introducing us more on the character's personality for each character you interact with in of Spyro 2 such as charm being spoken well from the characters and having a strong list of characters to interact with for most of the part with of Spyro 2 such as being the first game in of this classic franchise introducing us to the helpful Zoey that save over our progress whenever anything bad happened in terms of gameplay of the gamer playing through of any level from the franchise and of course the fat doo doo head of Moneybags forcing you having to pay him your hard worked and discovered treasure in of Avalar of Spyro 2. Glimmer while again not being the most in-depth and unique level out there from the series which of course why I hold it back from being ranked any higher on the countdown, Glimmer was flat our great on how the slight little gameplay twists and turns from improvements from Spyro 1 would turn out well and even better in for the main gameplay design for levels in Spyro 2. This is one thing that helps bring pointers to Glimmer to the overall series in general and nothing can take that memory of such to the series as important away from it.Not much else to say. Glimmer was great for what it was as a great beginning level to the gamer and Spyro fan in general to Spyro 2 and introducing us more on how much it improved with more style and gameplay details would later appear in of future unique levels would appear in of the rest of the series. Great level that any Spyro fan in from the series should enjoy with in some shape way or form, even if the level was lacking more gameplay design of such compared to it's bigger and more unique levels from the entire franchise. 50: Midnight Mountain (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------We kick off the Top 50 in a huge way with the last remaining Spyro 3 Homeworld level left to rank in of the countdown and the last true homeworld level to take in place from the entire franchise to this day, Midnight Mountain. As far as the remaining homeworld levels go left to rank in of the countdown, Midnight Mountain was a very good homeworld level at that thanks to how it improves on a variety of tasks in of the main gameplay design of the homeworld to take in part of in unlike of that from the other three bland and forgettable homeworld levels from of Spyro 3. Midnight Mountain was while not perfect as the best homeworld level from the classic franchise, it's a very good one at that and a nice final homeworld to explore in of the franchise as a whole. The best elements I loved from Midnight Mountain and why I have it by far ranked as the best of the four homeworld levels from Spyro 3 is how, there are notable tasks to take in part of in of level that are very fun to perform in and how cool it is for the player to explore in of the level thanks to how large the homeworld was such as ever taking in part of chasing around and causing torture to the ever annoying Moneybags he deserves for him forcing you pay your hard worked collected treasure you collected in from other Spyro 3 levels. This is one element that I love to replay through over and over again and who wouldn't? There was absolutely nothing the player should take and care for in of gameplay elements to take in part of for the other three homeworld levels from Spyro 3, so it's nice for Midnight Mountain have the player tackle and take down in of the main level design from the level which is something that should be accounted for every level in the series, including homeworld levels. Not much else to say. Midnight Mountain was not the best homeworld out there from the entire PS1 franchise, but again I found it be an overall great homeworld that like Glimmer, every classic Spyro fan out there should enjoy in some shape way or form in the level such as even if it's only the calm presentation nature and music of the level to again doing and performing stunts special to Midnight Mountain in terms of level design such as exploring every cranny of the homeworld finding secret eggs and to taking down the heartless Moneybags. Great homeworld level overall and as such has enough positive things to take in part of in overall that it earns enough to be ranked in the Top 50 of the Spyro PS1 levels in my countdown. 49: Sunny Beach (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Much like of how I have a passion and soft heart for easily falling in love with Ice / Snow themed levels from any Video Game out there, I also have a soft heart and passion for Water like levels to play through from any Video Game franchise out there from when I was a young gamer and from today now that I am older and I enjoyed this as such with the may Ice / Snow / Water like levels from all three PS1 classic Spyro games. At any rate in of what I think for Sunny Beach as a level overall and as a level to the series overall in general for the countdown from Spyro 2, I found Sunny Beach to be a great and enjoyable level to play through in from how I loved the water gameplay effects of Sunny Beach like of so from the other main water levels in this classic franchise. With the lone exception of a minor problem of some of the level design I had with for Sunny Beach overall and that is with that I felt the level was a little to much on the easy side, I found Sunny Beach to be a great level overall and as such earns it fairly easily a slot somewhere in the top half section of Spyro levels in my countdown.Like of how I stated earlier, the only real negative problem I had with Sunny Beach overall from Spyro 2 and a big reason of why I simply cannot have the level ranked any higher then this in the countdown is that, I felt the main level design and enemies you come across in of Sunny Beach were way too easy for my taste and easily this problem could of easily been fixed and better in as it was a level from Spyro 2 compared to the more in depth and more harder of such from that game in the series. I found multiple levels even from Spyro 1 in terms of the enemies and level design you come through of those levels more difficult of the like compared to of such with Sunny Beach. I also found multiple homeworld levels in from Spyro 2 and 3 in terms of finishing up collecting Orbs and Dragon Eggs in them were more of a challenge reward overall then of that to Sunny Beach.Issues aside from where I wished and I was somewhat disappointed with on how I felt Sunny Beach should of been built as a harder level of such in compared so to that of the remaining Spyro 2 levels left to rank in of the countdown, I thought that Sunny Beach was a great level. Not the best out there from the whole franchise but, a very good one despite it's issues. I loved exploring in the water like design sections of Sunny Beach rescuing and helping the baby turtles in to safety from start to finish of the level and having fun in of this process with causing mayhem to the fat yellow turtles in of the level that force you to lock and unlock gates in for the baby turtles you guide with in of the level causing pain to them. In all, Sunny Beach was a good level. 48: Autumn Plains (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Speaking of homeworld levels from the Spyro PS1 franchise, we here have another Spyro 2 homeworld level to rank in of the countdown with the majestic and beautiful, Autumn Plains. Autumn Plains as a homeworld level overall to the franchise, was great and one of the better homeworld levels out there from the entire franchise. I loved how there was a good variety of tasks for the player to tackle in of Autumn Plains and have fun in of compared to that of the somewhat other homeworld from Spyro 2 already ranked in of the countdown with of Summer Forest. Autumn Plains was a great level and definitely a level that should please well to any Spyro PS1 fan out there in some shape way or form like other levels ranked in of this section of the countdown.Unlike of Summer Forest which while was not a bad homeworld by any means, I had to rank Summer Forest fairly low in part of the countdown in simply because there wasn't much in terms of style, presentation and gameplay elements to take in part of the to Autumn Plains and the later remaining Spyro 2 homeworld appearing on the countdown, Winter Tundra. There were many things to take in part of the gameplay design of Autumn Plains thanks to of how it's one of the biggest levels overall from that from the entire PS1 franchise and how thanks to of how big it was, there is denying that there are some gameplay elements of Autumn Plains to have player enjoying from of the level such as exploring the main inner castle of Autumn Plains going up at the main full top castle section of Autumn Plains and having random fun using long glides and whirlwinds to have Spyro travel in and reach main platform sections of the level. Despite no enemy action taking in place of Autumn Plains, this problem becomes a non-issue thanks to how large and fun it to have the player to take in part of the main gameplay platforming sections in of Autumn Plains. Other great things in part of gameplay design that appear in for Autumn Plains that make it an even better level as a whole, also abound such as using your true platforming Spyro skills to move in to reach hard to reach Orbs hidden of the level such as the Orb hidden in of the breakable wall area located near of the Metro Speedway portal and reaching the full main top section castle of Autumn Plains and taking a breathtaking and long glide to reach an Orb located on a very small platform with three also just as cool Purple gems to collect in of. Overall as a whole, thanks to of how Autumn Plains includes a great sense of style and creative presentation that is seen as of the best looking Spyro levels out there from the entire PS1 series in total and how it's great to explore the main and large level design of Autumn Plains, definitely earns it a spot in as one of the best homeworld levels out there from this classic franchise. Great homeworld level that everyone should respect in with some shape way or form and just great as a level overall to that of all three Spyro PS1 games. 47: Peace Keepers Home (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Another write-up, another Spyro Homeworld level to rank in of the countdown and for just like for what I said for Midnight Mountain from Spyro 3 and Autumn Plains from Spyro 2, the Peace Keepers Homeworld level from Spyro 1, while was not my overall personal favorite homeworld level overall to that from the series, Peace Keepers is definetly a fine good homeworld level at that thanks to how multiple types of unique style and charm of the main level design gameplay stick out of Peace Keepers making it very unique of that unlike many of the other homeworld levels I ranked in of the countdown in so far. As a full level to the series overall, the Peace Keepers Homeworld was a great level that every major Spyro PS1 fan should find some form of entertainment from. Very good level as a whole. The reason of such of why I have Peace Keepers ranked this fairly high and easily in the top half section of Spyro PS1 levels in my countdown, is how it is the first true level of such from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy where the main gameplay action in a level was mixed up in and very enjoyable in for the player to take in part in. The Peace Keepers Homeworld was the first real level from the series where it introduced us to use a variety of machines around of the Spyro levels to help the player get to more unqiue and fun certain sections of levels of the Spyro series and this concept worked well thanks to how it would bring a bigger emphasis of exploring to that of more in-depth levels of such of the Spyro series and this is one concept that I am sure every Spyro PS1 fan can agree on, would help make up for the main gameplay level design charm to that for most of main levels of the Spyro PS1 games are so great and enjoyable to play in of making it unlike any other Video Game Franchise out there. The cannon gameplay mechanic in of Peace Keepers, was enjoyable and very fun to that of the level overall in general helped on making for many of the remaining Spyro levels there are left to rank in the countdown special and fun in their own way in terms of gameplay design. As far as what I think for the presentation and style for Peace Keepers, it's overall one of the best I have seen from any Spyro PS1 level and that it what also helps it being ranked higher in for my countdown. I love the main war theme of Peace Keepers and it's a shame there isn't much levels of like so for Peace Keepers of being war themed. I would rather have multiple war like element levels replaced and taken in all of the Spyro PS1 games in exchange for almost every bland and extremely forgettable desert or main grassland level of that in from the series, IMO.Not much else to say. The Peace Keepers Homeworld simply put, was very fantastic overall to the Spyro series for a homeworld level thanks to how it showed how important personality and level design would appear in for future Spyro PS1 levels in of the series and how enjoyable and unique it would later be to the series. Great level and while not the best out there, you will without a doubt do much worse then for a level in the series to of Peace Keepers. 46: Super Bonus World (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------The Super Bonus World level from Spyro 3 ranks this high on the countdown simply because of not only was it a fantastic bonus level for the player to take in part of in but, also of how it brings back great memories of the like for working hard playing through in Spyro 3 for collecting 100% in each and every level f the game and coming back here to have enjoyment in fun and challenging ways of the main level design of Super Bonus World and collecting ALOT of beautiful treasure in of the level. Thanks to of how great of a bonus level overall it is to the series and how it's nice for the real and true last Spyro game in the entire franchise go out on a nice swansong with a unique and hard as nails level, earns the Super Bonus World level from Spyro 3, high on my marks as a very good level, overall to the series. After being extremely disappointed with the lame bonus world to take in of with from Spyro 2 of Dragon Shores which I found to be very forgettable and bland to that for the series overall, the bonus level that is of Super Bonus World from Spyro 3 takes a complete turn for the better IMO, thanks to how unique of the mini-games you could take in of the level such as the hard but, very enjoyable underwater target game with Hunter's submarine in one section of the level to collect even more wonderful treasure in and with the just as hard but just as enjoyable rhynoc snowboarding race section of Super Bonus World. It's nice for a Spyro level be fully challenging from beginning to end to play in and overall, I was very pleased for the Spyro PS1 series go out with a great bang with a great bonus level to take part of in. Another great gameplay note that I liked from Super Bonus World is with the epic and final conclusion to the series with of a very fun big finale of a boss battle for the player to take in part of in with the Sorceress. This battle adds up some charm thanks to of how challenging and just plain fun it is.What else do you want to know other then of how great of a level the Super Bonus World bonus level from Spyro 3 was? This level and for so with the remaining 45 Spyro PS1 levels are all great and special in their own way that every Spyro fan should love with in some shape way or form. I may have ranked it a bit to low thanks to how I know there are people out there that find the Bonus levels not to be taken seriously overall for the Spyro PS1 series but overall for me, the Super Bonus World level was great in it's own way and again, was a level with as a nice finale level to explore in of the full franchise out there. It's sad how downhill the Spyro series would go after the successful bonus of a level with Super Bonus World from Spyro 3. 45: Magic Crafters Home (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Continuing down the trend of more and more homeworld levels from the Spyro PS1 franchise being ranked in of my countdown hold more with the next so level being ranked in the countdown is, the Magic Crafters homeworld level from Spyro 1. For me personally aside from of the Dream Wavers Homeworld which has yet to appear in of the countdown in as a write-up, I found Magic Crafters to me own personal favorite homeworld level from Spyro 1 thanks to how majestic, beautiful and unique the main level design of the main gameplay is and how it introduced important key features of level design to that of the series such as the supercharge. As for as homeworld levels go, Magic Crafters was definitely one of my favorites from the series overall from all three Spyro PS1 games and a very good level to that fitting the style of the Spyro series well with of the just as unique charm and personality of the level of so with the main gameplay design of the homeworld. Very good level overall in compared to the just as great remaining levels left to rank in for the countdown, IMO.One of the biggest highlights of what and why I have the Magic Crafters Homeworld ranked this high in for the countdown is of how like I stated earlier, it introduced revolutionary gameplay elements that make the Spyro PS1 games unlike any other platforming genre franchise out there and that is with the use of the supercharge ability to jump from thing to thing with and this concept element became a unique feature of so to the Spyro PS1 games and it was great to use in for other Spyro 1 levels that used this concept well in for very fun ways for the player to explore and use in such as the High Caves and Haunted Towers levels from the same game. For the time being when I was younger, this would make for more challenging elements to explore in for the Spyro series well in and this is one thing that you can't help but enjoy the Magic Crafters Homeworld in for because of this element. By far the Supercharge ability was my favorite gameplay element to perform in from every single Spyro PS1 game and this is saying a lot because, it adds charm well in for unique level design in levels for the series. As far as the presentation and style go in for Magic Crafters, I love the calm and cool nature of the homeworld with style that helped on bringing more charm of such to future levels of the like in the later Spyro PS1 games out there like so for the main level design in of the homeworld, giving more reasons on why I really liked Magic Crafters well in for the series.Overall, very great homeworld of a level of such to the series and a great level as a whole from this entire classic franchise. Not much else to say other then every type of Spyro PS1 fan out there should have some form of entertainment valve in much like the remaining 40 or so levels there are left to rank in of the countdown. 44: Sunny Villa (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Speaking of Spyro PS1 levels introducing fresh and unique styles of gameplay in from all three games of the franchise as a whole unlike anything out there from any Video Game franchise ever made with the Magic Crafters Homeworld first introducing us to the main Supercharge mechanic in of the series, Sunny Villa from Spyro 3 introduced fans to the series with what I feel are the best side-quest gameplay concept to take in part of the series overall in as and that is the ever very fun and unique Tony Hawk like skateboarding park mini-games you could take in part of the level with for Hunter and regardless even though this concept was really optional of such in of Sunny Villa, it's always nice for every Spyro level out there introduce something new and refreshing and this is something that Sunny Villa did at right. As an overall level other then of one minor flaw I had with of how I felt the level was a little too much on the easy side with and for that main reason why I can't have Sunny Villa ranked any higher in the countdown, I found Sunny Villa from Spyro 3 to be a pretty good level overall to that. Not the best out there but, far from the worst and earns marks as a very good level at that overall which is more then good enough IMO, to have it posted in the top half section of levels in the countdown. For most people out there that played of Spyro 3 for the first time, it's likely more often then not that Sunny Villa was the first real main level you played through in of the game and I have to say that while also introducing the player with the fun skateboarding mini-games to take part of in, Sunny Villa was a nice level for any type of Spyro player to enjoy in and that includes the main Spyro experts to people new to this classic franchise. Sunny Villa was large enough of a level to take in part of in that no two sections of a level during a play run of Spyro 3 play out the same and that is a great thing. Simple and fun are the best words to describe Sunny Villa in a nutshell, IMO and was a level that was enjoyable for pretty much every Spyro PS1 fan out there. While Sunny Villa was fantastic overall, the biggest flaw I had Sunny Villa overall is that and such why I cannot have it ranked any higher in the countdown is that, I felt the main enemies you come across in of Sunny Villa were a bit to much on the easy side. Other then of the main big enemies you come across in of Sunny Villa with clubs, there was simply no other way you could die in of the level and I felt while I understand that it's the beginning level of such in Spyro 3, it would of have been nice haven't the first and final real level from the Spyro PS1 series have the final like beginning world to the overall franchise go out as a unique and hard level to that rather then of a unique and easy level of such of what Sunny Villa was for most of the time in for most players could feel on in of Spyro 3.Issues aside, Sunny Villa was a great level. While I felt more from the main level design could of been made harder in of the level and become even better as level as a whole and ranked higher in so with for the countdown, Sunny Villa was still a great level of such fitting in as a Spyro level well in despite being a little too easy in terms of gameplay for the player to take in part of in for Sunny Villa. Overall, pretty good level. 43: Cliff Town (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Back a while ago I made in the past few write-ups I made in for Spyro 1 levels in the countdown, while I found almost every level of such from Spyro 1 fantastic and fun in it's own way, I have to rank them lower then I am sure some people wanted me to rank higher in if they made a countdown of such very similar to mine and as such of why I had a handful of Spyro 1 levels appearing in fairly low in the countdown not to long ago is because, of how in compared to the more unique and more in-depth levels that appear in from Spyro 2 and 3, there are multiple levels of from Spyro 1 while again very enjoyable to play through IMO, I rank them fairly low in of my countdown because how it's easily seen from any Spyro PS1 fan out there that the levels of such from Spyro 1 are simply overshadowed in compared to the more unique levels of such from Spyro 2 and 3. This case of a problem I had with for a few Spyro 1 levels in for already appeared in of the countdown, can be said for pretty much the same thing for Cliff Town. While Cliff Town was a great level overall and definitely not a forgettable level or a level overshadowed by any other level of such from Spyro 2 and 3, I found that I felt more could of came out for the main level design of such for the level, even for as an early of Spyro 1 level of such like of Cliff Town. Issues aside however, I liked Cliff Town overall as a pretty good level in my eyes. One notable game element that causes me to rank Cliff Town higher then that compared to a handful of Spyro 1 levels of such appearing already in for the countdown with of the same problems Cliff Town had, is how some notable and unique style for a Spyro 1 level at time stick out from Cliff Town unlike any other level of such to the series. One note of this includes with Cliff Town being the first real level from this classic franchise introducing and having the player using great glide skills to perform, reach and have random fun in of Cliff Town. This is one thing that no other level of such from the series can take away from that gives Cliff Town some form of personality of level design terms unlike so for many levels overall with and from the franchise as a whole. This mechanic would help out more in the future when it was used well in more for future levels of such from Spyro 1.Another nice gameplay touch I loved from Cliff Town is with how, I believe it's the first real level to some gamers out there in of Spyro 1 for most of the time and should be on with on how Cliff Town introduced fans of the series to the ever so popular and awesome purple gem in of Cliff Town that would be a standard in for the Spyro PS1 franchise. Using great gliding skills in of the level to master in and if you were smart of in and where to find it, you could find the first true purple gem of such from the Spyro series as a whole in. Who doesn't love those purple gems? While Cliff Town was a level that I found to be a little too easy for my taste and with of how it falls somewhat short on in terms of the level design thanks to it being just as easy as the main gameplay of the level in compared to other Spyro 1, 2 and 3 levels out there, Cliff Town was a good, simple and enjoyable level to play through from start to finish in that should please at least any Spyro PS1 fan out there in some shape way or form like levels already ranked in of this section of the countdown. Very good level for what Cliff Town was. 42: Dream Wavers Home (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Winter Tundra aside, the Dream Wavers Homeworld from Spyro 1 was my personal favorite homeworld of such as far all three Spyro PS1 games go thanks to how massive, unique and just plain fun it is to explore in of the main homeworld level design of Dream Wavers. If you cannot tell from the countdown so far, I found most of the magic like levels of such from all three Spyro games to be some of my favorite levels ever made from the series overall and Dream Wavers for a homeworld even overall to that for all levels being accounted for in the countdown, is no different then it's other magic main like so levels left to rank in the countdown. Very good homeworld and a very good level overall of such to the Spyro series. As far as all of the homeworld levels go in from all three Spyro PS1 games, Dream Wavers is easily one of the best of the homeworld levels in from the series with the best style and main level design going in of the homeworld. The biggest gameplay element of Dream Wavers that takes in place of the level and so of why I have it ranked this fairly high in of the countdown is with the cool timing element the player must use in order to complete the level in such as defeating both elf and metal crab like enemies of the level are when they appear in midget form and you can only defeated them in such with your charge attack and they would often change form in of the level thanks to the leader elf of the level messing with of the main laser in of the homeworld causing the enemies you face with to giant to midget form. This gameplay concept was surprisingly very fun to use and handle with as hardly any other levels of such from all three Spyro PS1 games offer this type of element in of the main game level design of them and it's nice for a homeworld offer something unique unlike of such from any other Spyro PS1 level out there.Another nice gameplay touch I liked from Dream Wavers within of the main level design going in of the level is with the "fool" enemies of the level that can never die in but, once attacked by Spyro, offers unique and more level design to explore in of the level such as using timed skills to take out the "fool" enemies to reach from platform to platform in to reach the Icy Flight level and collect the rest of the main treasure in of the level. These types of enemies were well designed in of the main level design of Dream Wavers overall and never feel cheap and or annoying on the player such as they are fairly easy to attack in and it's nice how the use of them let's the player explore more and more a level.Overall, I could go on and on of how great of a Homeworld level, Dream Wavers was. To put it up short and simple, it was a very good level thanks to how unique, original, cool and just plain fun it was overall to everything of the main and calm presentation of Dream Wavers to the main gameplay design to explore in of the level. Great level overall and if it wasn't for the fact that homeworld levels are nowhere given even more and better potential of level design given in for level design in compared to their main level overall to the franchise, Dream Wavers would be higher. Still, great homeworld level and as a whole as a level to that of the franchise, a very good level. 41: Enchanted Towers (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Enchanted Towers is a level that I find to be very strange overall for me to rank in of the countdown with me going on multiple ways to decide on where and what to rank the level on. Enchanted Towers while being a pretty good level overall with the level having notable high points going for it here and there, there are few minor flaws within the main level design of Enchanted Towers I had with the level that causes me to rank it out of the Top 40 in the countdown. One of the biggest highlights I liked Enchanted Towers from is, the high sense of exploration the player had to form and do within the level. You had to travel within multiple paths in of the main level design of Enchanted Towers and thanks to the level being so large and cool to explore in, this sense of exploring within the main level design for Enchanted Towers decently for me for most of the time. However speaking of so within the main level design for the level, I found that the level design at times while the player is going through of the level, felt a little unbalanced and poorly designed. What I mean so is that the main flow of the gameplay you had to travel in of Enchanted Towers, felt a little cheap on you whenever you were trying to cross paths from section to section of the level. This of such included some sections of the level where you have to lead it to Lady Luck and controlling where on what section of the platform you want Spyro to touch on but, as so the platform you try to cross in of the level screws you up since some sections of the platform were high enough for Spyro to reach and safety glide on or other sections where you will die off. Balancing issues aside in terms of the main level design of Enchanted Towers, I found most of the main level course fun that you know from the rest of the main Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in the countdown, be pretty to perform and see in of Enchanted Towers. Enchanted Towers earns points for the level being fairly challenging such as the flying green dragon monsters within the level you see and the only way to defeat them is using proper timed skills to kill them. This gameplay flowed well for me and I never really had a problem with it.Another of note is that the main Skateboarding mini-game from Sunny Villa makes a return here and you take in part of facing with Hunter in as just as challenging but, very fun skateboarding duel in a full fledged park area. I am sure that every Spyro PS1 fan out there loves these types of simple and full mini-games to take in part in for any Spyro level out there.Overall, Enchanted Towers was a great level despite the fact that I felt the main level design in some sections of the level could of been better designed and more fun to explore in. Because so causes me to rank it out of the Top 40 but still, Enchanted Towers was a great level, issues aside. 40: Winter Tundra (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here at long last we have our final homeworld level of such from all three Spyro PS1 games appearing in of the countdown, Winter Tundra from Spyro 2. There are multiple great reasons of such of what I feel personally so with of having Winter Tundra ranked in as the homeworld level of such from all three Spyro PS1 games. There was no denying the fact of how Winter Tundra was a breathtaking beautiful work of art for a homeworld level with a beautiful sense of calm nature to the level unlike any other Spyro PS1 level out there in the entire franchise with just as beautiful sweet song that plays in for Winter Tundra and another reason of such on how more of a god Mr. Copeland is for video game music. I cannot think of any other main level of such from any Spyro PS1 level out there in this classic franchise that can hold up to being just as beautiful it is in terms of both the level design and presentation of so to Winter Tundra. Winter Tundra nailed both elements well in and were great for the player to take in.Both of such are two main gameplay functions first taking main in place of Winter Tundra that would later more of a very fun and important role for other levels to follow in of this franchise and that included the Headbash move you learn in of this level and for the first time in for the series. The Headbash mechanic of Winter Tundra was fun and enjoyable to take in and for helping more so for the main gameplay of levels for the Spyro PS1 levels to be different and unique in unlike so for any other platforming franchise out there for it's time. I also loved that while there wasn't much to do and explore in of Winter Tundra compared so to Autumn Plains, the level had charm within of the level design where the player would have some form of random entertainment to see and do in of the level such as taking down underneath the secret waterfall of Winter Tundra and so on and so forth. I could go on and go but overall as a whole for these reasons I stated for, Winter Tundra was easily by far my favorite homeworld level of such from all three Spyro PS1 games thanks to just how fun the homeworld level is and how the main gameplay action of Winter Tundra never feels boring of so in the level like of the Spyro 3 homeworlds. Winter Tundra was a majestic and wonderful level and as such earns it a spot in my countdown in the top 2/5 section of levels in my countdown. The only thing holding Winter Tundra back from being ranked any higher is that while so I stated in for my Dream Wavers write-up, all of the main homeworld levels I felt never were shown the full potential of better level design going in them compared to their main levels of such from the franchise as a whole. Still, Winter Tundra was a great level overall of such fitting well and enjoyable in to the series in. Not much else to say other then how more I can go on with Winter Tundra being a very fun level. 39: Scorch (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------At this point in the countdown, it's getting harder and harder for me to rank the remaining Spyro PS1 levels on as I feel that all these remaining levels left to rank in the countdown are very unique and fun in their own way and I feel there is no overall main negative in to talk for in of the levels and if so there is a problem to talk about in for the level being spoken for in of the current write-up in the countdown, it's only in as a personal nitpicking problem I felt in of the main level overall as. While Scorch was a great level overall, there is a notable nitpicking problem in of the main level design on a personal note that help keep it from reaching any higher in the countdown and I hope this does not lead to backlash going in as the countdown is nearing completion. To get the minor nitpicking flaw of such out of the way of in of Scorch and I hope this does not cause any users from turning away in of the countdown is that and why I do not have this great level ranked any higher then this in the countdown is because, in every Video Game out there I have played and that includes all of the so levels from all three Spyro PS1 games, I could never into much of the Arabian / Desert design of video games and that includes the of such so main design and main presentation of Scorch. I am not sure what it was and yeah it will probably turn users away but compared to the fire, snow, magic and water like levels of such from all three Spyro PS1 games where I found them easily for me to fall in love with, something about the desert like Arabian feel from Scorch never felt special in my heart to fall easily in love with compared to the other such levels there are left to rank in the countdown. However nitpicking issues aside, Scorch was a very great level. The main level design of Scorch was very unique with certain gameplay elements of Scorch sticking out of Scorch unlike any other Spyro PS1 level out there from the entire franchise such as in order to move from section to section in of the level, you had to press and/or have Spyro attack on switches to unlock gates blocking your path down of the main platforming sections of Scorch. This element flowed well in since no other Spyro PS1 level I know, again never performs so like of Scorch and it was nice so for the change for the player taking time and exploring the level more little by little in.Another gameplay touch I loved from Scorch that ranks fairly high in so for my countdown is, with the unique enemies you come across in of the level such as the ever annoying but, very unique pink hipppos of the level that hold shotguns and love to kill you down as soon as they see just one eye on Spyro. The main Orb mini-games of Scorch are also just as fun as the main gameplay functions of the level such as helping out Hunter take out monkeys hiding in trees and prompting them to stop throwing coconuts at you and Hunter.Again, I hate to act unfair so on for a level but if it wasn't for the fact of me never getting around the Arabian like feel of such from Scorch like so I didn't like from other Spyro 2 levels out there that ranked in of the countdown such as Colossus and Shady Oasis, I would likely have placed Scorch even higher on the countdown. Nitpicking aside however, Scorch was a great level that pleased me well in from start to finish in terms of the main level design of the level despite me never getting into the main feel personality presentation of Scorch. Overall, great level. 38: Idol Springs (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have yet another Spyro 2 level appearing in of the countdown, Idol Springs. Idol Springs was simply put, a great level with nothing really bad to talk about. From Idol Springs being the first real level in the series to involve around swimming underwater in which not only played a very fun role in of this level but, for other levels to follow in of this classic franchise. Great presentation in of Idol Springs also nails it of why I have it ranked in this high in of the countdown. Great level and while it's not quite the best out there from this franchise, it's definitely a fine, solid and most importantly very fun level, IMO.Like I stated earlier, Idol Springs was the first real level in of this series to start around getting and mixing with the water like gameplay effects of the level for the player to take in part of in from swimming underwater and collecting gems in this way to having random fun swimming around in the pond with the colored fishes at the start of the level. The swimming gameplay mechanic I found in from it being included in of Spyro 2 and 3, were great fun and a nice touch to the gameplay as it allows more variety to be shown and perform to do for levels to take in part of it and this is why I have such from when I was younger and still to this day, why I find Idol Springs to be a great level overall to so to the series.Another element I liked from Idol Springs was much so was a decent enough of exploration you could take Spyro in of the level such as reaching near the left end section of the level to take in part of a supercharge mini-game with the Hula girls of the level to collecting the main hard and the rest of the gems in of Idol Springs also with setting open the big locked metal treasure chest in of the level. Thanks to the unique style, presentation and simple but, very fun main gameplay for the player to take in part of in Idol Springs easily nails it a fairly high spot of so in my countdown.Idol Springs was a great level from beginning to end to play through in. Not much else to say. 37: Misty Bog (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Misty Bog was a very interesting and unique level and as such and other reasons to follow in of this write-up are the main reasons of such why I have Misty Bog ranked fairly high in of my countdown. Misty Bog for me was an entertaining level from start to finish from of Spyro 1 and other then of so of a minor nitpicking problem I had with of the level overall, Misty Bog was a great level through and through with unique, clever, hard but also very fun gameplay elements to take in part of the level. The main reason of such of why I have Misty Bog ranked this high in of the countdown and why of how fun I found the level to be is that Misty Bog was the first real level in from all three Spyro PS1 games that would begin a trend of very hard but also highly entertaining levels for the player to take in part of in such as like Misty Bog being other enjoyable levels from the series like Zephyr, Lost Fleet, Tree Tops and so for a few more hard like Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in of the countdown. For it's time as a Spyro 1 level, Misty Bog earns some points for bringing a cool and fun trend of having a few Spyro PS1 levels from every installment in of this classic franchise being challenging and fun in their own way.One of my favorite gameplay elements I loved from Misty Bog was with the highly unique and tough enemies you come in contact with of the level not seen in any other Spyro PS1 level out there even so for other levels from Spyro 1. You come in contact with facing off with frogs that hop up and down attacking you in different attack patterns with their tongues to facing against trees that try to eat, kill and munch you down like popcorn. I know there are some Spyro PS1 fans out there that hate this level in such because of how sometimes they can attack the player on in cheap ways in of the level over something the player did do nothing wrong in. For me while I did find the main enemies you face off with of Misty Bog were a little unfair and cheap to play around in of the level, I found that this isn't really much an issue to me since it's really a level unlike anything or anyone of such you see from any Spyro PS1 level out from this entire series and as such makes Misty Bog unique so in the process and so I never found this to be too much of a problem on me since it's also notable for the first real "hard" level of such to the main Spyro PS1 series and I really do like levels of such like Misty Bog that try out something fun and unique for the player to explore in.While Misty Bog was a great level overall to me, I do have one minor nitpicking problem with the level and that is with presentation of Misty Bog. I never really cared too much for swampy like levels from any Video Game out there and that includes pretty much all of the levels of such from all three Spyro PS1 games. It's not that I really hate them overall, it's just that I feel like nothing of note really stands out enjoyable for me in that of the drowsy like swampy feel that is in part mainly of Misty Bog unlike where I had more enjoyment for a level that is of magic, water and/or fire themed from of Spyro levels.Nitpicking aside, I found Misty Bog to be a great level overall thanks to how unique and hard the main level design was and how enjoyable you could have within of Misty Bog to see and explore in, thanks to how large and unique it is unlike so for any other Spyro PS1 level out there. Great level. 36: Sorceress's Lair (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have our first in awhile "boss battle" like level appearing in the countdown and in this case coming in at #36 on my countdown, is the semi-final boss battle level from Spyro 3 with the first of the two Sorceress battles of the game with of Sorceress's Lair. As a boss battle level to that overall in of the series, the battle of such with the Sorceress from Spyro 3, was a nice short, somewhat easy but rewarding and fun boss battle. While there are a few better and enjoyable boss battles levels out there like Ripto's Arena and even Gulp's Overlook left to rank in the countdown, there is no denying that the first showdown with the Sorceress, was a very solid and enjoyable experience to play through and brings back classic memories of such for me beating through for Spyro 3 for the first time. I miss those days back when I was a young 8 year old gamer. *sigh*The main gameplay focus battle the player had to perform in of this boss battle level was focusing on using weapons that Spyro could occasional often use in of the level and defeat the Sorceress with in order such as cannons, hover-tanks and even flying saucers. All of main controls within of the objects you had to use in of this boss battle worked and controlled well since with the flying saucer near the end of the battle you access in of the level, you are able to free room around most of the main battlefield sections and attack the Sorceress whenever you could and you were given as unlimited time to attack the Sorceress in unless you were attacked by her.The overall mechanic for using vehicles to take in part of taking down the Sorceress of this boss battle level worked well and the Sorceress would act smart enough whenever you could or could not attack her in for every time you play and face her in of Spyro 3, no two certain sections of the main boss battle action of this level played out the same and were varied well enough never to get boring in thanks to again how fairly smart the Sorceress would act in of this battle. While Sorceress's Lair was a great level overall, the main reason of such why I do not have this level ranked any higher is that I felt that more variety coming out of the Sorceress attacking you in would be nice. The Sorceress again plays out smart well as a defender in of this battle but, as for offense power she could use, it was pretty weak of this boss fight. Aside from launching thunder ball attacks from her magic wand, The Sorceress didn't play out much for attacking you well in and it would of been nice haven't she attack the main player playing in of this level in more variety and unique ways like of the amazing Ripto's Arena boss battle level unlike of Sorceress's Lair being just a great boss level then an amazing one. She played well in defense of this fight but, poor offense power in this level. Odd, I know.Still, Sorceress's Lair was a great boss level fitting well in for the Spyro series. Not the most entertaining out there but, you could easily do far worse then so for other boss levels already ranked in of the countdown. Overall, Sorceress's Lair was a another solid great level in of the countdown. 35: Crystal Glacier (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------As the countdown slowly moves on, it's getting harder and harder to rank the remaining levels in of the countdown and where to place them as all of these levels are levels that I felt again other then of nitpicking problems to talk possibly for a few of these levels in the countdown, all of them are very special and fun in their own way to the Spyro PS1 series.Crystal Glacier from Spyro 2 was a great level from start to finish thanks to how fairly unique the main level design was in of the level such as using the Eskimo like so little guys to help you reach platform to platform and also helped with the fact of facing off with unique enemies of the level such as the bunny like creatures that pop out of the snow hiding in of the snow waiting for you to close up on them and attack you. In terms of unique style for a level such as Crystal Glacier, it's not quite the most original level out there but, it's enough to help keep the main level exploration of Crystal Glacier from ever getting boring. Also helping the fact with for making Crystal Glacier being a very good level in my books is with how it offers some of the most Orb mini-games to take in part of in for Crystal Glacier. I always found the spider cave like mini-game of this level for me when I was younger very unique and as such was the first real level in of this classic franchise that introduced on the player using the Super Fly power-up in fun ways such as using it for not only for the mini-game Orb challenges of the level but, for the full main level design in general.Crystal Glacier was a great overall. My only real tiny problem I had with Crystal Glacier that keeps this great level from being ranked any higher in my countdown from being great to very great is, with compared to most of the Spyro levels there are left to rank in of the countdown even for those levels from Spyro 1, I felt Crystal Glacier was a little small for my taste for a main level so from Spyro 2. There are multiple levels at the top of my head even from Spyro 1 that are more complex and longer in so then for Crystal Glacier. While it would of been nice if Crystal Glacier was made larger to help on the level likely to make the main level design of this level more unique and more fun as such for the remaining levels there are left to rank in the countdown I felt that overall nitpicking tiny issues aside, Crystal Glacier was a great level overall. 34: Dino Mines (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we arrive in the countdown with the level alongside tied with Tree Tops is seen by many fans of the series of as quite possibly the hardest level of such from the entire Spyro PS1 Trilogy, Dino Mines from Spyro 3. Dino Mines was a great level because of not only how hard but at the same time how fun the main gameplay functions were of the level but, also with how there were many things to explore in of the level and how highly action packed the level was keeping the player on their toes at all times. Great level overall with nothing really bad problems wise to say major or even minor for overall for Dino Mines, IMO.My favorite gameplay element that I loved from Dino Mines and as such why I have it ranked this high in of my countdown is with how entertaining and exciting the main level design gameplay is of this level. From start to finish for basically every gameplay element you come in contact in of Dino Mines, you have to plan out careful and quickly timed attacks as the main enemies you come in across of the level use a variety of weapons of mostly gun attacks to trying to take you down in. This mechanic I felt in of the main level design overall to so and for the enemies, worked well for the main level as each enemy in of the level acts unique so in of the main platform gameplay of Dino Mines as such never gets the main action from ever getting boring and repetitive and this is not a bad thing at any rate since all of these Spyro PS1 levels are known for being very unique and fun and unlike so from any other Platforming Video Game franchise let alone, just one single genre game of so out there.Another cool element that I loved from Dino Mines is how with multiple unique designs of the level you travel in such as starting at of the level facing off with raged dinosaurs with guns to heading underwater and carefully dodging floating TNT boxes and to timing your skills down careful and just right to get from platform to platform. Variety is a great thing for any Spyro PS1 level out there and as such because so of the high variety and just plain the level was overall, causes me to rank the level so even higher in of my countdown.Overall, Dino Mines was a great level. I really can't think of anything majorly bad to say for this level and it may be that I am ranking it a tad bit to low on the countdown or due to the fact there are even more fun levels out there left to rank in of the countdown or I am not sure what but overall, Dino Mines was a great level thanks to how original and just plain fun it was, even so for me when I was younger. 33: Gulp's Overlook (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gulp's Overlook from Spyro 2 was a very great level of such for a main boss fight from all three Spyro PS1 games and certainly one of the overall best boss like battles out there from this classic franchise, IMO thanks to how original and unique the fight with Gulp is in terms of gameplay design of the fight and how it's easy for any Spyro PS1 fan out there to fall in love with how great the serious tone of the presentation is of the level. Not much really bad to say for Gulp's Overlook. A great boss level and as an overall level of such to the series. The main gameplay function that goes in of the boss battle fight with Gulp is using a variety of so weapons hatched from eggs of that Elora sends to help you in of this fight to attack and eventually kill Gulp in such as rockets, barrels, bombs and the like. These each added own unique and fun elements to face off with for Gulp of this boss fight and it's also added more fun greatly by the fact of how fairly challenging and smart Gulp would interactive with of to the player of this boss fight. Overall, the main gameplay functions in for a boss like fight in so for Gulp's Overlook was fantastic unlike many boss levels I already ranked in of the countdown so far.One other element I loved from Gulp's Overlook is with the solid presentation of the level. The main music of Gulp's Overlook gives off a serious tone that fits the style of the boss battle with Gulp well and enjoyably surprisingly catchy to listen to and overall IMO, one of the best songs of such from any Spyro PS1 boss battle like out there from this classic franchise. Thanks to the great gameplay functions of the boss battle with Gulp and great presentation, easily nails Gulp's Overlook from Spyro 2 ranked fairly high in of my countdown and what should a Spyro PS1 boss battle level should be unlike which isn't seen in much from the series overall. Much like the remaining 30 or so levels there are left to rank in of the countdown, I really can't think of anything really minor or major to say for these levels left to rank in the countdown. Overall, Gulp's Overlook as a whole for a boss battle level and as a level overall to the series, was great. 32: Metalhead (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we yet another boss like level to rank in of the countdown from Spyro 1 and easily as far all of the main six boss battle levels go from Spyro 1, Metalhead was easily one of the better ones of the bunch and overall, a good boss level of such to the series overall thanks to how large and fun it was to explore the main platforming gameplay sections of the level and also thanks to in part of how cool the presentation is of the level with a calm and cool nature of so to Metalhead. If it wasn't for the fairly easy boss you come in contact with of Metalhead which is a minor nitpicking problem that all of the Spyro 1 boss levels suffer from, I would have ranked Metalhead higher. Overall, Metalhead was a great level despite the fact that I felt the boss was A LITTLE too easy for my taste. What makes Metalhead stand out and more noticeably fun unlike so for Doctor Shemp, Toasty and Blowhard from Spyro 1 I already ranked in of the countdown is with, how this level is a full-fledged boss level with many things for the player to explore in such as using whirlwinds and timed platforming skills at the fullest to collect all of the main treasure of such in Metalhead. It's always nice for any level out there from any Video Game give the player a decent to heavy amount of variety of such to perform in for the Spyro PS1 series we are talking about of a level like Metalhead unlike so for the past three boss levels I already talked to about in from Spyro 1. This refreshing hidden depth concept would work out well for the future in the series for making the boss like levels more unique so that is something that Metalhead deserves credit for helping to make the boss levels in of this franchise more dynamic and just plain more fun too mess around in.If there is one minor nitpicking problem I had with Metalhead and as such keeping me from ranking it in the Top 30 in the countdown is that, at the time I can understand for me since I was a younger gamer growing up at the time was challenging and unique, at this time of day in gaming Metalhead falls short as just a fairly easy but, also unique boss level out there of such to the series and so compared to a few other boss levels left to rank in of the countdown, Metalhead falls short in compared to them for being harder and even more unique then such for Metalhead.Still, Metalhead was a very, very great level overall to the series. Not exactly the best out there in my books but, still enough for me to rank it fairly high in of my countdown in thanks to the refreshing memories it brought to the series for helping to make the boss like levels from the Spyro PS1 series more unique and fun but, also being just a great full-fledged boss level overall in general. Not much else to say other then Metalhead was a great level. 31: Sheila's Alp (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have ourselves another optional extra character level of such from Spyro 3 with this time involving around Sheila and the overall level in general, Sheila's Alp. IMO next to Sgt. Byrd, Sheila was my favorite of the four extra characters you could control in for certain section of levels of such from Spyro 3. Sheila was a great and fun character to play in overall and aside from one minor nitpicking problem I had within of the level that causes Sheila's Alp to barely miss out on the Top 30 levels of such from the Spyro PS1 series, Sheila's Alp was a great overall level with Sheila having great personality and fun gameplay abilities to play in for her in certain levels of the like from Spyro 3.Unlike where I found Agent 9 to be a little weak for me due to the lack of variety of gameplay mechanics he could perform and Bentley being easily the worst of the four due to his slug nature with him controlling poorly like a tank, Sheila from Spyro 3 was a very enjoyable and unique character to control in thanks to how easy to grip and understand Sheila within of the main level design of such for the certain parts she was playable in from Spyro 3 with of for and how the little kangaroo had a variety of moves you could perform with of Sheila to explore in of the main level design for her level in general of such from Spyro 3 and take out enemies in, where it never became a bore-fest for me play in unlike so for Bentley and at times too for Agent 9.The main gameplay focus of the level is getting Sheila from Point A to Point B and helping out her goat friends reach access to there houses safetly at the same time taking out rhynoc enemies for them. Thanks to how fresh and just plain fun it was for me anyways to handle Sheila down in of the main gameplay design of the level, helped the level from ever getting really shallow and easy for my taste unlike some other Spyro 3 PS1 fans I know out there from. Sheila's main gameplay focus abilities such as the hop stomp, double jump, triple jump and the like were unique in their own ways and were well designed and fun to perform in for all sections of the level from start to finish. If there is one minor nitpicking problem I had with for Sheila's Alp overall is that I felt for her level in compared to the other three extra levels of such from Spyro 3, I felt was a little too short and felt like more of making the level larger like of or around the same size as Sgt. Byrd's Base, would help make the level fantastic rather then a great one. The level itself is pretty much of such broken down into only about 3 to 4 different sections of the main design of the level the player would explore in of the level and it would of been nice haven't the main design of Sheila's Alp was made more vivid more of exploring in more since Sheila was a great character great in terms of game design, I just wished that more potential of her level was seen better in overall from Spyro 3.Minor issues aside, Sheila's Alp offered a great character to control of and was a great albeit a little too short of a level to take in part of fully in from Spyro 3. Great and smart level design of the level overall and how fun and easy Sheila was in of the main gameplay overall in of this level in general, offer this level to be ranked fairly high in of my countdown, IMO. Great level with not much else to say. 30: Gnasty Gnorc (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------What better way to kick off the remaining of such 30 Spyro PS1 levels left to rank in of my countdown with no other then of the first real big finale of such a boss level from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy? Gnasty Gnorc earns points for high nostalgic classic moments to fans of the series that completed and beat Gnasty's green butt for the first time and helping bringing in the standard that regardless of what Spyro PS1 game out there, the player is given a decent to great to fantastic final boss level of such to enjoy with and is the case with Gnasty Gnorc being a fantastic and nice semi-ending for a level of the like to Spyro 1. Great boss level for it's time thanks to how decently unique and high tension wise the battle with Gnasty was and as such earns it at least a spot for ranking highly for in my countdown and should be in for any countdown with to any other Spyro PS1 fan out there. The main strength and reasons of such of why I have the main boss battle with Gnasty ranked fairly high in of my countdown is how fast paced the main action gameplay can get with during the battle with Gnasty. You start the level off with dodging attacks from his rod and heading around the battlefield finding keys to block down the main platform Gnasty is hiding above you in. When this as such is completed, you chase Gnasty around a dangerous but fun ride around Gnasty's main battlefield of the level being careful as such not falling in the purple acid during the chase. You then chase Gnasty through a passageway in of the battlefield of the stage carefully eventually moving Spyro through platforms that slowly and slowly close up on you then quickly killing him off. For the main gameplay design I stated in for this boss fight, it may seem boring and bland on paper but, for it's time going for it and even by today's standards if you just play through at least one little section of Gnasty Gnorc, there is enough variety and skill the player must use in of the level to succeed in that even for the most expert Spyro PS1 fans out there, Gnasty Gnorc never gets boring so in this process. It's nice for a boss like level including a decent amount of variety to take in part of in which isn't seen much from the series overall.Ripto's Arena and Jacques aside which are even more fun boss like levels out there from the series, Gnasty Gnorc was the best main boss like level overall from the series in general with and earns high points for being the first real finale like boss of such to the series and you have to admit that for it's time it was a very unique and fun element to take part of in with a very unique boss fight of the like with Gnasty Gnorc. Pretty fantastic level overall and has easily enough credit where it due in of the level to rank in the Top 30 of such levels in of my countdown. 29: Molten Crater (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Much like in for previous write-ups I stated in for my countdown, these remaining levels rank left to rank in of my countdown rank fairly so high in of my countdown because of just overall how unique, original and cool it is and this case continues as Molten Crater from Spyro 3 is no different. Molten Crater was a great level overall thanks to fairly high amount of variety the player could take in part of in for this level such as from chasing dragon egg thief's around a supercharge section of the level where you must put your true skills to the test to playing out as Sgt. Byrd and playing out a fun but, yet also challenging game of hide and seek. There were other options in of such for Molten Crater that also make it unique and the like unlike any other Spyro PS1 level out there such as using your skills once more to the test and careful collecting any remaining treasure near the end portal of the level where lava abounds around the entire area. There is also more to Molten Crater rather then in of the main gameplay of this level and that is with the just as great presentation and design of the level it is to the main gameplay of the level. Molten Crater was a great level that flowed well within the main gameplay design of it. Nothing felt cheap and annoying in of Molten Crater which is such most of the Spyro 3 levels suffered from for being ranked low in of my countdown. The main presentation of Molten Crater was also unique to me as just like magic, water and ice like levels, I have a heart and passion for lava like levels of such like Molten Crater and it was a nice level to enjoying looking at from the small lava effects of the level to the breathtaking beautiful evening tone of the level. If it wasn't for the fact that I have one slight nitpicking problem with the level which, I really do not to discuss on since I am sure people of the like will hate about it for me ranking it not higher on the countdown, Molten Crater would easily be higher in my books. Still, Molten Crater while not super fantastic like the so Top 20 Spyro PS1 levels out there left to rank in of the countdown, Molten Crater was a great level overall in my books and being ranked higher then most of the Spyro 3 levels in of the countdown doesn't hurt either right? Overall, great level. 28: Zephyr (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------As far as all three Spyro PS1 games go, Spyro 2 is notable for including some of the best so levels out there from the entire franchise IMO, thanks to how so many of them are unique and include refreshing and original gameplay mechanics in of them to keep the player happy and having a great time in for completing the level and this Spyro 2 level trend goes on so with for with Zephyr. Zephyr was a great level thanks to how original, how large and just plain fun the level is with for the player to take in part of with with high action in of the level going on to always keep the player on their toes with for goals to perform, explore, see and do in of the level. If it wasn't for the fact that there are even more dynamic and original of such levels of the like from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy, I would have placed Zephyr higher on the countdown. Still, Zephyr was a great level with great design and appeal that should appeal to any type of a Spyro PS1 fan out there with.Easily one of the biggest highlights of what makes Zephyr a great and enjoyable level to take in part of in, is how action packed, large and dynamic the level overall is. Next to Dino Mines from Spyro 3, Zephyr is quite possibly the most fierce and challenging like level of such in terms of gameplay design from the whole series. You start the level off dodging away from birds that fly in the sky firing easily to attack you with for missiles in of the level to dodging and jumping over TNT boxes in of the level to carefully controlling the cannon use of the level at the right time and truly testing out your skills in of the level. There is denying that it's always nice to run into a large, open-ended level of the like to play in from any Video Game out there and as such is the main reason why of such I find Zephyr to be such a very fun level to play through in from start to finish.Speaking of so for how large the level is, Zephyr was kept entertaining and very fun in my eyes thanks to how there was so many things to see and do of the level from doing a beanstalk like mini-game with the Professor to helping up Little Bo Peep round up her cowleks for her and that also accounts for collecting lots of hidden treasure hidden well deeply in for Zephyr. If there is one slight nitpicking problem that holds Zephyr back from being ranked any higher in the countdown is how there are even more dynamic, fun and mostly importantly original levels out there. This doesn't make Zephyr bad by any means, it justs tells you how so there are many unique and the like levels of such from the three Spyro PS1 games in the like being just as good for to with for Zephyr. Zephyr was a great level overall with not much else to say bad or good for other then I hope for the best you have a wonderful ride playing through of this level as much as I did in of Spyro 2. 27: Jacques (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have ourselves the final "boss" like level of such from Spyro 1 appearing in of the countdown and a very good one at that with Jacques being a very great level to play through for me back in Spyro 1 thanks to how fairly original the main level design gameplay of the level is and how the main presentation of the level remains as one of the best out there in general for a Spyro 1 level. Jacques was a very good level overall and as such earns it without a doubt a spot somewhere high in of my countdown. Nothing bad to say for the level overall and a level overall for any Spyro fan to easily fall in love with and/or just have a wonderful time playing through of it.The biggest gameplay mechanic that makes Jacques a very special level and a very enjoyable boss like level unlike such for the past five Spyro 1 boss levels I have ranked in of the countdown, is how full-fledged of a boss level it is with many areas for the player to explore in rather then just being a level focusing only on the boss in such for the other five Spyro 1 boss levels already ranked in of the countdown. As for the main gameplay focus goes for Jacques, it involves the player carefully using a mixture of skill and patience to use the "fool" fairy like enemies of the level to move from section to section in order to fully explore the main focus of level in of Jacques and this mechanic worked out well since it never slows the main gameplay action done and keeps the player engaged in of the level at all times with.Another cool element that ranks Jacques fairly high in of my countdown is with how original in terms of even the enemies you come in contact of the level are unique and only seen in of Jacques from Spyro 1 in this classic franchisee and fits the series well in such as the Big Bird yellow long armed enemies of the level that block themselves from having you move forward of the level and you have to put your skills to the test to move on in the level from section to section in of the small platforms in of for all main sections of the level.I loved the main presentation music and style as much as the main gameplay action goes for Jacques. The music is very upbeat and catchy of the level and remains as a sense overall on how and what how great of a music video game creator Stewart Copeland is. Overall, not much else to say other then Jacques was a solid and enjoyable great level to play through from start to finish thanks to how unique and just plain fun the level is overall to me. 26: Gnasty's Loot (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------As we approach the Top 1/4 section of the countdown with only 25 more Spyro PS1 levels left to rank in of the countdown, it's getting harder and harder for me to place on where to rank the levels on as all of the remaining Spyro left to do write-ups in for the countdown range from being great to superb to fantastic. All of these levels in some shape way or form attract well and bring back great memories of the like for be when I was younger as a gamer with these remaining levels being fun in some shape way or form in countless ways.At any rate coming in at #26 on my countdown goes to the first real bonus like level of such from this classic franchise, Gnasty's Loot from Spyro 1 and what a big way for a level of the like for Spyro 1 to end the player on with. Gnasty's Loot was a great level in many ways and a very nice final level of the like in Spyro 1 thanks to how there was so many things the player would see and do in of the level and that includes on how fun and enjoyable the main dynamic flight control from the Speedway / Flight levels played well in for effect for Gnasty's Loot and helped made the level more unique and original for what it's worth.Another very unique element of note that ranks Gnasty's Loot high in of my countdown is with the beautiful sense of style there is to collecting gems in this level. You control Spyro from section to section in of the level collecting the ever so rare yellow and purple gems in of the level and this is helped by the fact how refreshing everything is in terms of level design way it's so much fun there is to collect every single type of yellow and purple gem in this level and as such involves using many fun gameplay elements you learned from Spyro 1 and put them to ultimate test in order for you to fully complete this level and earn the just as beautiful 120% and bonus ending in the game. Also, Gnasty's Loot is notable with the final main room of this level housing a breathtaking beautiful room of purple gems to find and collect. Who doesn't love those beautiful purple gems?Overall, Gnasty's Loot was an incredible level thanks to how dynamic and fun the main flight gameplay was in of the level and how it was a nice overall level of such to end Spyro 1 on. Despite it not being a #1 level out there in my countdown, it's definitely a level to remember by and should bring back wonderful memories of such to any Spyro PS1 fan out there and is a very special level of the like just as so there is for the remaining 25 Spyro PS1 levels there are left to fully rank in of the countdown. 25: Mystic Marsh (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have one of the more dynamic and entertaining later levels of such from Spyro 2, Mystic Marsh. Mystic Marsh was a superb level overall thanks to how original the main level design is and how variety strikes high in of this level unlike of such for the later Spyro 2 levels out there where I found to be fairly disappointing and boring to play through for my taste like Robotica Farms and Cloud Temples. The main gameplay action of Mystic Marsh is kept high and unique and as such makes the player entertained from beginning to end of such for the level. Not much of anything bad to say for Mystic Marsh much like for the remaining there are left to rank in of the countdown. Mystic Marsh was an awesome level, IMO.One of the best elements that I loved from Mystic Marsh and why of so I have it ranked high in of my countdown is how unique the level is. For just speaking of the enemies you come across in of this level, are some of the entertaining and challenging enemies to take out for in from all three Spyro PS1 games. These enemies include the monkeys that hide in of the trees of this level that love to take you down with coconuts and giant elephants that love to take down your behind as soon as they get even one keen eye on Spyro. While some may feel like this would make for a fairly cheap level of such, I felt nothing of note in terms of the main design of the level felt cheap as for the most sections of the level, the enemies were separated into different locations of the level preventing cheap gameplay from ever occurring that much in Mystic Marsh. Also, who doesn't love playing through a challenging level here and there from any video game? Mystic Marsh was a fantastic level for bringing challenging yet at the same time, very fun gameplay dynamics to every type of Spyro PS1 fan out there.Another fun element I loved from Mystic Marsh is with how large and fun it is to explore in of the main level design of such in this level. You can tackle a variety of tasks in of Mystic Marsh such as taking out the seal like enemies in the stream mist of Mystic Marsh to helping out with a mini-game to help the Professor find his pencil and so and so forth. These goals were fun to perform in of Mystic Marsh and never felt tedious or boring ever in my book for every time I play through of Spyro 2 with Mystic Marsh. Thanks to the high amount of variety and challenge there is of this level, easily nails Mystic Marsh a fairly high ranking of such for a level in my countdown. Great level with nothing of note to say bad for and remains as what a level should be like and enjoyable with much like there is for the remaining 20 or so Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in the countdown that are just as enjoyable and fun as Mystic Marsh. 24: Gnorc Cove (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have our first non-main boss or bonus like level in some time from Spyro 1 appearing in of the countdown and earning the next slot on the countdown goes to Gnorc Cove. Thanks to how so much variety sticks out of Gnorc Cove and of how it's a level unlike any other level of the like out there from all three Spyro PS1 games, easily nails a spot for Gnorc Cove being ranked high in for my countdown and remains as one of the best overall levels of such from Spyro 1.Variety is an important factor in any Video Game out there and thankfully for Gnorc Cove and that goes for the remaining Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in the countdown, are special and unique levels in many ways for the gamer to have fun with and Gnorc Cove was not only a level that was very unique to the Spyro PS1 franchise overall, but to the platformer video game genre out there for what Spyro 1 was for at the time. Who doesn't love huge variety in games? As far all 3 Spyro PS1 games out there go, Gnorc Cove remains as what a near perfect Spyro level should be like for.The biggest and main gameplay element that takes in place of Gnorc Cove that make it a great level in my book is the huge emphasis on using barrels to get yourself from section to section in of the level and mainly take out your enemies in of Gnorc Cove. I found this gameplay concept to be very fun and unique to perform as I have seen no other Spyro level out there from this classic franchise that does this certain goal to the player and how fun and well-designed this mechanic worked in for the main gameplay overall in for this level. The barrel gameplay never felt cheap in no shape way or form during the times I remember with myself playing through this great level in of Spyro 1. It was refreshing and a nice mix-up for a player to take in part of in for a change as there were some decent small touches to the main gameplay action in of Gnorc Cove there unique within of this concept such as timing your aim control down on the barrels to break away boxes of hidden gems to clearing the path to reach more complex and fun main platform sections of the level and so on and so forth.Overall, Gnorc Cove from Spyro 1 was a very nice level thanks to the high amount of original and fast-paced action there was to the main gameplay design of the level and how it's nothing of like your typical Spyro PS1 level out there from this classic franchise. Great level and as such earns it without a doubt, a high spot in somewhere for my countdown and here I think is the right place of such in the countdown to put this great level at in. 23: Hurricos (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here is a level from the whole Spyro PS1 Trilogy that I find that I do not understand personally why for me on how it gets hated on so by many fans of this classic franchise. I found Hurricos from Spyro 2 to be a very fun, unique and challenging level thanks to how there were so many fun and varied design tasks there were in of this level for the player to take in part of in and remains as what Gnorc Cove was as one of the best levels from Spyro 1 with Hurricos being one of the best levels from Spyro 2. Not exactly quite the best level out there from this entire franchise but, Hurricos was a fine superb level of such that pleased me well in.The best and my personally favorite gameplay concept that I liked from Hurricos making it a very good level out there and why I have it ranked highly in of my countdown is how complex yet enjoyable the main level design was for the player to travel in of Hurricos to 100% finish in. Notable hard but enjoyable gameplay mechanics of this level include using your main platforming skills and patience to the test to move from windmill to windmill in one section of the level to revive the main power source electric center in of Hurricos and collect an Orb in doing so with. Speaking of complex level design, one other element that I loved from Hurricos making it a great level was how I found the main level design to be just as unique as it complex of this level. In order to complete the level from start to finish, you have to use the supercharge like power-up in this level and shut down or back up the windmills in this level that block treasure away in the level and the only of way to finish so is putting these types of skills to the test also to the player. Everything to the main level design of Hurricos felt like fresh air in my books to the main gameplay design there is compared to other levels out from all three Spyro PS1 games and that is by means a very good of a thing of such for a level.Variety played a nice well in for Hurricos with so many things to see, do and explore in always kept the player engaged in some way or form during their play through of this great level. These things include facing off with robots and workers with giant wrenches that love to take you down in and are well design in of the level design to take down in for themselves to taking in part of other Orb like mini-games of Hurricos such as the lightning stone game where you have to stop them from being stolen from purple gorilla like enemies in of that certain section of the level.Hurricos was a very nice level thanks to how much variety, style, challenging and fun gameplay concepts come and click well together in for the player to have fun for with. Again, not exactly the best out there compared to the #1 Spyro level left to rank in of the countdown where I found to be included with some of the most engaging moments I have ever played in gaming but, Hurricos was a great level in my books and deserving of for a high placement for a Spyro PS1 level in for my countdown. 22: Sgt. Byrd's Base (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have the fourth, final and my personal favorite extra of the like character level the player could take control of in from Spyro 3 appearing in of the countdown, Sgt. Byrd's Base. I simply loved and found Sgt. Byrd to be my personal favorite character of the bunch of the four characters you could control in of Spyro 3 thanks to how well he controlled, how unique he was to combat and to the main unique level design for each and every section he was playable in including his main level and how for his level we are speaking of, was fun and nicely varied and large where I never found myself getting bored with of such to Sgt. Byrd. As a whole level to that of the series, Sgt. Byrd's Base was an excellent level and an excellent level overall for the player getting used to the main gameplay actions of Sgt. Byrd. How and why I have Sgt. Byrd's Base ranked in as the best of the four extra character like levels from Spyro 3 is that, I felt that everything out that were problems from Sheila's Alp, Bentley's Outpost and Agent 9's Lab were fixed in of the main level design of Sgt. Byrd's Base, made better and made up for a perfect level of the like for an extra character to control. This includes Sgt. Byrd controlling great where I never encountered once where I had a trouble controlling with him and how enjoyable it was to control the little guy such as him having the ability to fly and the player able to explore the full potential of the like of the level in of Sgt. Byrd's Base.Speaking of level design, I felt Sgt. Byrd was for sections in for not only his level but, for every section he was playable in was fun, clever, original and never boring. The main mechanic that sticks out for Sgt. Byrd that makes him a great character was how interacted well in of the level design of his level. By pressing down on the X button and at the same time while pressing the O button, you could control Sgt. Byrd by flying and firing attacks at the same time and this concept was very fun in the like to enjoy from as it played a unique design to that of the level without nothing of note of any cheap play by enemies occurring of the level. It flowed very well within from start to finish of the level and I felt nothing bad whatsoever stood in for Sgt. Byrd as a character and for his level overall, IMO.There was also more on Sgt. Byrd's character that I liked from him unlike somewhat of the other three extra characters from Spyro 3 and that included with the player allowing James Byrd to pick up missiles by his feet and able to aim well in for things that were unbreakable with just his rockets like locked away treasure chests. This mechanic also controlled well in of the main design of the level adding more points as to why I really liked Sgt. Byrd's Base overall.Overall, Sgt Byrd's Base was a very fun level in my books with nothing of note bad to say for and ranks this how simply because of how complex, challenging and yet unique at the same time from start to finish of the main level design of this level. As such, earns it a high placement on my countdown. 21: Wizard Peak (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here nearing missing out on making the Top 20 of such Spyro PS1 levels in my countdown is one of the best levels overall from this entire classic franchise with the best sense of style and presentation out there, Wizard Peak. Wizard Peak overall to me much like other levels that ranked in of this section of the countdown, was a fantastic level overall thanks to how fairly challenging and creative the main level design is, how dynamically fun it is to explore the main full level of the like of Wizard Peak and so on and so forth. What's been said by fans out there from this franchise that have already stated on how superb of a level Wizard Peak is, can be said in for my write-up for this amazing level overall.Easily one of the best mechanics that I found to be enjoyable from Wizard Peak to being of a great level and why I have it ranked highly in of my countdown is how well is focuses on the player using supercharge like gameplay mechanics in many unique and creative ways for the player to use in of Wizard Peak. These include following certain supercharge patterns to remember by for the player to use to reach far away treasure hidden of the level and so on and so forth. This never comes away as an afterthought as these sections of the level to use for the supercharge in to finish Wizard Peak in are clever and a nice challenging change of pace out there unlike of most of the other Spyro levels out there from the series.Another gameplay element that I really loved from Wizard Peak is how creative of a level at the time it was to the series. Wizard Peak was the first real level out there from this series in general to focus more on hidden depth gameplay action out there. Unlike in of the earlier levels out there from Spyro 1, Wizard Peak was a level involving even the most expert like Spyro fan out there having some of difficult problem in the process and this is not done in any cheap way or matter of any kind of the level. It's nice for a level to include something unique out there to be important in for the later levels out there for Spyro 2 and 3 and Wizard Peak did a great job so like this with some of the most entertaining like gameplay I have ever played from any Spyro level out there.Regardless for not being ranked #1 in of my countdown, Wizard Peak was an amazing level overall with absoluetly nothing of note bad sticking out of the level in some shape or form much like so for the remaining 20 levels there are left to rank in of the countdown. Very fun level out there and much like the remaining 20 levels out there from this great franchise, is an instant classic level out there from ANY Video Game I played in my entire life and easily brings back classic memories of the like out there for me when I was gamer playing through of this series when I was younger. 20: Dark Passage (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------I said it numerous times in for multiple previous write-ups for other Spyro levels I already ranked in for the countdown and I will say it again. In such this is the Spyro PS1 franchise we are talking about, I LOVE to play through levels in this series that are creative, unique, original, challenging, balanced and most importantly fun and this so can be said for Dark Passage from Spyro 1. In thanks to how much I personally found to be enjoyable from this level as much so out of the last few levels there are left from this great series to rank on, easily ranks Dark Passage somewhere in the Top 20 levels of such in my countdown. The biggest main gameplay element that follows in of Dark Passage that I found and why I find it to be such an amazing level overall and one of the best levels out there from Spyro 1 is of the player has to master on a mixture of patience and skill to complete the level from start to finish. For most of the main level design of Dark Passage, you have to flame down on the fool like elf enemies of the level that you have seen in earlier levels out there of Spyro 1 and have to cause them to turn into lights in order to take down the yellow dog and black turtle like enemies in baby form as when the lights burn out whenever the elf feels like it, the dog and turtle enemies turn big and attack on Spyro whenever one glare is got on them to the player and cause the player easily to die on. I felt this main gameplay gimmick in of Dark Passage was creative and fun within the main design of the level and challenging in fun ways as there isn't much out there of the like from the Spyro series overall in. The level gimmick of Dark Passage was a nice mix out there and it earns more style unique points out there as there is no other level out there from this series.Another main level design of note that I loved from Dark Passage being one of my overall favorite levels out there is how there was a nice amount of variety to follow and explore in of the level such as taking down multiple paths of glides in this level leading the players to more unique enemies to face off with and this includes the weird but entertaining evil cupid fairies to take down in of the level. In for it's main level design that make it a very fun level, it also makes up for being a unique level in general for the types of enemies you come in contact in for Dark Passage which isn't said overall out there for most levels out there from the entire Spyro PS1 Trilogy. So with so much original style sticking out of the main level design of such out there for Dark Passage, easily earns it a high ranking of honor out there in the countdown and enough so to rank in the Top 20 of such Spyro levels out there from all three Spyro PS1 games. 19: Crystal Islands (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------For being such of a fairly small level out there for even being smaller in level design size then likely over half of the levels from Spyro 1, Crystal Islands from Spyro 3 was a fine work of art for a small level out there thanks to how a decent amount of variety stands out of the level and how well designed and just as fun the main gameplay design was that the player had to take, control and in part of in of this amazing level. Not only is Crystal Islands one of the best levels out there from Spyro 3 but, easily one of the best levels out there from this classic franchise. A very nice level, IMO.There were multiple main points out there of why and how I find Crystal Islands to be a very nice level and most importantly, it involves the main gameplay goals in fun ways for the player able to take in part of in. These gameplay main actions include chasing around an egg thief of the level whom is fairly challenging to kill and take down in to the player taking in part of the best optional mini-game out there of Bentley in a knockoff game of Whack-A-Mole. These touches while not full unique out there to the series were most unique out there to the level and were great for what they were for and added more style to Crystal Islands as to the overall level in.For the main level design for Crystal Islands, the level has a magic like feel out there like so for many other levels out there from this series and Crystal Islands did a nice job so of mixing it up with for the player such as giving you only so little time to advance onwards to certain sections in of the level. I thought this concept worked well in as while as small of a level Crystal Islands appears to be, there were many different things to explore in of the level and that includes not even mentioning the side-quest Dragon Egg mini-games out there of Crystal Islands. These of such include traveling a large amount of well hidden gems in of the level which range from being ranged in different sections of levels in the air of the level that only can be reached within only using the super-fly power up in the level. As a whole, Crystal Islands was an amazing level as such thanks to how there is more to the gameplay in the level to love in this level that I haven't even mentioned in so far and that is the main presentation of Crystal Islands. I love the night time like magic feel to this level like so with music that is very relaxing fitting the main design of the level overall in.Crystal Islands was a very nice level overall with nothing of note majorly bad to say and earns points highly ranked in of the countdown thanks to the same fun design notable in place Crystal Islands in so there is to the other 18 Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in of the countdown and how there is very nice charm out there in of some of the best presentation out there I have ever seen overall from a Spyro PS1 level. 18: Breeze Harbor (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Coming in at #18 on the countdown is one of the ever so majestic and beautiful levels out there from this entire franchise, Breeze Harbor. Breeze Harbor ranks this high in of my countdown thanks to how I find pretty every little type of gameplay element in this level come together and fit well to make for one of the best levels out there from Spyro 2 and so in many original and fun ways. As such, earns Breeze Harbor a high ranking in for my countdown. One of the best gameplay elements that I loved from Breeze Harbor and why I put it so fairly high in of the countdown is how unique is. From beginning to end in of the level, the player takes in part of re-heating life back into the main ship of this level and stopping so any enemies from putting it out such as the octopus like enemies with water hoses and firefighter hats. This concept within the main level design of Breeze Harbor, I felt worked well and was very unique out there unlike any other level out there from any other Spyro PS1 level so this was great as it makes Breeze Harbor stand out and that is a very good thing out there for any level out there from any Video Game.Other details on how there is charm and variety in Breeze Harbor abound. These sections of the level include riding yourself across flying ships to reach platform to platform in for one short section of the level to taking in part of very fun, clever and hard mini-games out there of Breeze Harbor. These types of mini-games include the ever so hard trolley mini-game to collect 50 gears in separated in multiple areas of the cannon course. Man, that brings back enjoyable and yet at the same time frustrating moments out there. Heh. The other slight gameplay details to Breeze Harbor were fun as I loved the main use of cannon gameplay in this level. It worked well in for Zephyr and it works just as well if not better out there compared to it's war like companion level out there from Spyro 2.Overall, Breeze Harbor was a very nice superb level thanks to high amount of variety, action and fun the player could take in part of in of this level. As such earns Breeze Harbor this highly of a placement for a level in my countdown. 17: Twilight Harbor (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------It's really getting harder and harder for me to rank on where I feel is the best to place these remaining levels in of my countdown as at this point in the countdown, all of these remaining 17 levels left to rank are truly amazing levels out there and remain as some of the best levels out there from this classic franchise, IMO and bring back multiple memories in great ways for me as a gamer growing up with this series. Twilight Harbor from Spyro 1 was a fantastic level thanks to the huge variety going in of the level and there is no denying that variety brings out a nice amount of charm and fun out there from levels in from every Spyro PS1 game out there and Twilight Harbor is no different from of these levels. The amount of variety in of this level is simply unique, challenging and fun and remains as one of the best of such levels of the like out there from Spyro 1.The main gameplay focus on Twilight Harbor follows in many and once again, very original and unique ways as such as what you expect for the remaining Spyro PS1 levels out there in the series. These gameplay functions of the main level design of Twilight Harbor go from facing off with Gnorc Commandos, some of the most entertaining and hard enemies you come up against from any level out there from all three Spyro PS1 games, IMO. The main level design within in of Twilight Harbor was also very unique and fun for the player to explore in as such switching in under a drawbridge in one section of the level and supercharge up it and explore more style in of this level overall and complete it 100% in.Since Twilight Harbor is seen as the big last level from Spyro 1 the player is able to play in before facing off with Gnasty Gnorc himself, it's nice for the main gameplay design target in of the level as be fairly challenging and unique to finish in, especially with the hard as nails but, engaging Gnorc Commandos in the level that come in different styles to face within of the level with the tall gnorc enemies being able to aim on you better and the shorter gnorc enemies easier to tackle you down in with their guns.As if the main gameplay within of Twilight Harbor wasn't good enough, the main presentation of Twilight Harbor is just as enjoyable as of the main level gameplay out here for Twilight Harbor. The main level music that plays on Twilight Harbor is very upbeat and catchy and another one more prove on how Mr. Copeland, the main music creator out there from all three Spyro PS1 games, is a master of a god of what he does and helps bring out the full personality charm out there to fit the style of Twilight Harbor well in to making it one of the best of such levels out there from this series, IMO.Overall of all of these notable things within of how well the main gameplay, presentation and design each come together in unique ways unlike any other level out there from this series, easily makes Twilight Harbor not only one of the best levels out there from Spyro 1 but, easily one of the best out there from this series and deserving of so with being highly ranked in of my countdown because so. An amazing level and just as amazing, fun and unique as the remaining 16 Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in of my countdown. 16: Lost Fleet (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have Lost Fleet appearing as the next level of the like from Spyro 3 in of the countdown. Lost Fleet was a very fun in many ways from the creative style there was in many gameplay design ways there was within of Lost Fleet to how it's brought to life with unique style to not only in of the main level design of it but, in of the main enemies you come up against of the level and how there are different types of variety within of the main level design of Lost Fleet that come together well in for the player to have a great time in making for an amazing level overall in. Lost Fleet was an amazing level in so many ways, IMO.The biggest strength within of the main gameplay in of Lost Fleet that make for this level being one of the most entertaining levels out there for ranking this high in of my countdown is how variety abounds all around the place in of the level to making it very unique unlike any other level out there from the entire Spyro PS1 Trilogy. From one moment of Lost Fleet you could tackle down enemies in the air with the ever so fun clever cannon gameplay mechanic of the level to traveling underwater in the green acid for a fairly short moment with the help of the shield protections power-up in the level that helps protect you from the green acid. Not only did everything in Lost Fleet feel fresh and unique, it was most importantly fun and never once did I feel anything bad or boring to say and find in of every little gameplay touch there was of Lost Fleet from Spyro 3.Unlike of the most Spyro PS1 levels out there where you are stuck sometimes doing the same gameplay task over and over again where repetition can strike on fast for the player, Lost Fleet never comes in contact of this problem thanks to how there is so much things to see and explore in of Lost Fleet and you are never giving the option to do the same thing within of the main design of Lost Fleet unless you want to. It's a welcome change out there that makes me to rank Lost Fleet even higher so in for the countdown then I am sure most people would put the level in overall in if they made a countdown similar to in of mine. The amount of other great gameplay elements that I found great of from Lost Fleet also abound that make up for helping on Lost Fleet being more on a wonderful and majestic level out there. These include small optional and fun mini-games to take in part of it and that includes racing with Hunter through a skateboarding mini-game that was very challenging and very in-depth unlike of the other skateboarding mini-games out there from Spyro 3 and from one section of Lost Fleet where you are able to use the submarine and destroy down enemy rhynoc ships in the acid.Overall, Lost Fleet was a very nice overall from the high amount of variety the player could take in part of in and how unique and fresh the main style of the main level design was of Lost Fleet making it unlike from any other Spyro PS1 level out there from this series. Who doesn't love variety in of levels from video games? It's nice that so much originally go in for most of the levels out there from this entire series. As such, earns Lost Fleet well worthy of a high placement in of the countdown. 15: High Caves (Spyro The Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Kicking off our Top 15 of such Spyro PS1 levels remaining left to rank in of the countdown is with an enjoyable, very creative and challenging level from Spyro 1 with of High Caves. Who doesn't remember this level from back in the day and at least any some form of entertainment coming from this level? Thanks to in part of it being one of the more creative, challenging and just plain fun levels out there I have ever played from not only from Spyro 1 but from the overall series in general from Spyro 2 and 3, causes me to rank High Caves high somewhere in the countdown. In such the biggest gameplay mechanic that follows in of High Caves that make up for it being a beautiful level out there is with a nice and challenging emphasis on the supercharge power-up the player must use in order to succeed in of the level. This allowed multiple ways for the player to get used more on unique ways for the supercharge power-up in not only to High Caves but, to this classic franchise such as using it to point away paths on the level that were challenging and mostly importantly fun to perform such as using it track down time and putting your skills to the test to reach far away hidden gems and for not one but, two hidden egg thief in of the level. This gameplay element within of High Caves was very creative and never became much of anything frustrating for me during my multiple times playing through of High Caves. Everything gameplay related out there from High Caves even including the spider like enemies you kill within of the level that can only die by the supercharge power-up flowed well with one another and kept the main action from ever getting boring but, fast and enjoyable which can't be said for most Spyro PS1 levels out there. Not much else to say other then High Caves was truly an amazing and creative level from the fun nature I had within of the main gameplay elements out there from this level to how challenging and in-depth it would later become. Because so, easily ranks this classic and charming level that is High Caves somewhere rewarding high on the countdown. 14: Magma Cone (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------As far as all three Spyro PS1 games go IMO, Spyro 2 homes some of the best levels out there from this entire classic franchise thanks to how nearly every single one of such level from Spyro 2 each has it's own unique personality, charm and style within of the main level design that you can't help but some some love to these levels in some shape way or form and Magma Cone is no different. Magma Cone remains as one of the most enjoyable, unique and creative levels I have ever played in from all levels of such from all three Spyro PS1 games. Much like so for the remaining 13 levels there are left to rank in of the countdown, all of these levels that rank in of the countdown are special to me in for my childhood and bring back great memories of such with some of the most entertaining like gamplay I have ever played from any Video Game out there and that stills holds true today. The main gameplay mechanic that follows in for helping to make Magma Cone a very original and creative level out there is of how enjoyable and fast-paced the main gameplay action can get within of this level which is something missing out from most levels out there from all three Spyro PS1 games. Variety abounds in many ways to keep the main action within of Magma Cone being a very vivid level overall such as you can do so many things in many ways within of the main level design of Magma Cone and never getting bored with it. These fun gameplay elements that follow in for Magma Cone include taking out your enemies only by using your skills to the test with help of the blue elf creatures that help you kill the Earthshapper like enemies of the level in red X marked areas to exploring a nice mix of fun and original level design of Magma Cone from stopping the process of the volcano running to exploring extras like reaching a small platform that included three extra lives for the player.Other unique gameplay moments that follow in for Magma Cone being a fantastic level overall is taking in part of challenging and just as unique Orb like mini-games out there from any Orb mini-game out there from at least from Spyro 2. These include taking on Hunter in a secret ice cave like section of the level and racing to collect ice crystals to saving and having fun within of a party in the volcano section of the level and clear out the enemies that stolen the party like items that was originally intended fro what was going on in of Magma Cone before chaos started.Every little gameplay detail within of Magma Cone felt fresh and unique to make for a very fun level overall in and this helped by the just as amusing presentation of Magma Cone. I love the unique sense of charm that was shown for this level such as nice effects within of the lava you come in contact in for this level and to the nice serious and catchy tone of music that plays in of the level helping it to be one of the more better personality like levels out there from all three Spyro PS1 games in terms of presentation wise for a level.Overall, Magma Cone was a very amusing level out there overall to that of a level overall in from all three Spyro PS1 games thanks to so much unique senses of style stick out of Magma Cone to make it unlike any of such other Spyro PS1 level out there from this classic trilogy. Not much else to say other then Magma Cone was an amazing level and just as a excellent of a level to the last 13 levels there are left to rank in of my countdown. 13: Ice Cavern (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Ice Cavern was simply put, an amazing level from beginning to end for me with me enjoying much so much from the level from the great eery and cool ice winter like presentation of the level to a nice variety of gameplay skills you could take in part of the level such as exploring one of the more rather complex levels out there for the time in of a Spyro 1 level in very fun ways and as such earns it easily highly ranked in of my countdown. I love Ice Cavern as much like so for the remaining levels left to rank in the countdown that I sometimes start a new Spyro file over again just to play through, finish in and relieve back memories and the unique gameplay styles of the levels and this is true with so for Ice Cavern.Ice Cavern ranks this high in of the countdown thanks to how much I love the seer variety going in of the level. The level offers so much action for the player to take in part of in that no matter for me, everything felt fresh and never boring for me. The fun gameplay varies in different places such as near the beginning in the level, you have a choice of starting the level in normal session from section to section or you can glide near a section near one section of the level and start where the main exit level portal is to exploring in different sections that while were complex to travel in never became a nuisance to the player to explore in and it was nice to explore every single nook and cranny out there from the level such as finding gems on top of poles with you having to be careful in order to collect them in the ice cave sections of this great level.Ice Cavern also ranks this simply high in of the countdown because I am not sure about anyone else but, I love the cool and calm nature of Ice / Snow levels out there from all three Spyro PS1 games. I love the design and nature the level felt on the player such as keeping the player in a happy nature having fun while playing through of the level yet never having the main gameplay action slow and kept as important and serious at the right times yet fitting the level in. It's a shame there isn't much levels like there from Ice Cavern from this series. Such a lovely place as much as it is overall to play in.Overall, Ice Cavern was an amazing and fantastic level. It's got everything that you could ask for the perfect package out there for a Spyro level. Great gameplay, great presentation, unique style, classic music, challenging and overall just plain fun and as such earns Ice Cavern a high place in of my countdown and easily one of the best levels out there from all three Spyro PS1 games. 12: Seashell Shore (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------If there are other levels out there in from all three Spyro PS1 games where it is easy for me to fall in love with other then of the Snow / Ice levels, it's the Underwater levels from this classic franchise. Unlike from most video games out there where the water like stages / levels are a pain in the rear to play in ala the Zelda series, the Spyro PS1 games remain as one of the very few franchises out there where I find it fun to take in part of being underwater in. Everything from the controls to the nice amount of gameplay you could undercover even when you were underwater flowed well in for these types of levels in the series and this holds true with the like of Seashell Shore from Spyro 3.Every type of element that came in play for the player to take in part of in from going in-land for a few moments in of this level to heading underwater flowed well in the gameplay and not only helped making it one of the more unique levels out there from the franchise but, one of the most fun overall from this series. Seashell Shore remains as a true classic of a level.Variety plays a big factor on how enjoyable the levels can get for these levels from all three Spyro PS1 games and for Seashell Shore, this held true. There so many things to see, perform and do in of the level that you are never going to be doing the same task or goal over and over again no matter how times you go playing in of the level. You can take in part of starting the level off clearing away enemies in your path rushing through to having random fun just swimming in the underwater like sections of Seashell Shore to taking in part of unique and challenging Dragon Egg mini-games from helping out playing as Sheila taking out a big sandcastle like rhynoc base which explored more on other characters in the series other then of Spyro and to taking out a big bad rhynoc in a submarine shooting like hovercraft game. Everything was fresh and unique that not only was it unique and very creative for any other Spyro PS1 level out there but, it helped more evolve on what later levels could be more original like with. Not much else to say other then Seashell Shore was a very speical and important level to the that to the series overall in and easily one of the best and original levels I have played from the entire series. Deserving so for being ranked high in of the countdown and as such earns this fantastic level the #12 slot, on the countdown. 11: Lofty Castle (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here just barely missing out of cracking the Top 10 of such levels of mine in the countdown out there from all three Spyro PS1 games comes, Lofty Castle from Spyro 1. Much like so for every single level that ranks this high in of my countdown, Lofty Castle was a fantastic work of a art within of so much unique style, presentation and gameplay design coming from the level puts it not only as one of the best levels out there from Spyro 1 but, one of the finest levels out there from all three Spyro PS1 games and ranks as a classic level that brings back great nostalgic fun memories of the like out there and a level much like so for the Top 10 levels there are left to rank in the countdown, are levels that will never leave away great memories of the like out there for me as a gamer. Lofty Castle was a wonderful level. One of the such many things going out there for Lofty Castle being such a great level on how I have it ranked highly in of the countdown is how everything is fresh, unique and fun unlike anything from not only something I have played from the Spyro PS1 series overall in but, a fine work of a art unlike any game I played from the platformer genre. The main gameplay mechanic that flows in of Lofty Castle is saving and rescue fairies trapped in of boxes, rescuing them and using their magic to help you access to multiple layers of location in Lofty Castle which house in very unique and challenging tasks for the player to take in part of such as a supercharge section where you have to master your skills and control in Spyro 1 to the test in order to finish the level from start to finish.Other gameplay elements that follow in for being unique and fun for the player to take in part of in for such an already wonderful I stated work on in of game design is how large, complex but fun it is to explore in for Lofty Castle. I have a passion for large like levels out there like Lofty Castle and this trend followed well in as every little gameplay element that I encountered in of Lofty Castle fun the enemies you face off such as the unique Gnorc like enemies that hover in the air with balloons with to tackling down other tasks from exploring multiple like castle like parts of the level, were very very unique and just plain fun to sit down and play in.The presentation of Lofty Castle was magnificent. I love the cheery but very serious catchy tune of the music to the level to the main feeling happy nature going in of the level keeping the player on their toes enjoying the sense of style going in for every single gameplay element of the like out there for Lofty Castle.Overall, with all of these things going for it in for what I stated, easily earns Lofty Castle being ranked very highly in of my countdown and just as classic and wonderful overall of a level it is just like the last 10 Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in my countdown. Classic level with nothing bad to say whatsoever other then I hope on this level appeals to the same amount of fun to other Spyro PS1 fans out there like what Lofty Castle did. 10: Fracture Hills (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------After nearly a month of hard work, we have finally arrived in the Top 10 section of levels from all three Spyro PS1 appearing in of the countdown. From this point onward, all of these levels stand out as not only the best of the best levels out there from this entire classic franchise but, remain as some of the finest achievements of enjoyment I have played from levels I have ever played in from not only overall in the series but, from any Video Game out there. Fracture Hills is no different from here and as such thanks to the huge and nice amount of gameplay action going in from any Spyro PS1 level out there I have played, earns Fracture Hills a high slot placement in somewhere for the countdown and remains as a level that I really loved overall.Just from starting out in from beginning to end of the level, Fracture Hills is a very special level of such out there to this classic franchise as a whole as just on it's own it introduced more of an emphasis on harder like gameplay going in that would later appear in for other Spyro levels to follow. I love challenging levels of the like Fracture Hills and from start to finish, this level was a true piece of gem as nothing ever felt too frustrating and annoying in the level and if so, rarely if ever happened during my play times through this amazing level and played so well important in for the main design of the level.Other gameplay elements that take place in for Fracture Hills that were fun, challenging and unique abound in the level. This includes mastering a way to tackle down on the supercharge power-up and free a girl trapped away in a solid brick wall to earn an Orb to you that was challenging and fun to master. Other gameplay elements go from mastering well and taking down the ever so annoying Earthshapper enemies in the level and bring them pain of what they deserve. The gameplay design within of Fracture Hills keep on coming. These fun elements included carefully and mastering around your patience and attack work by taking down the green plant like bush enemies that try to munch you to death and the ever bees that randomly in of the level.Aside from the main fun and unique gameplay action going in for Fracture Hills, I love the main presentation out there of this already stated amazing level. I love the night like nature that is taken in place for Fracture Hills and remains very enjoyable and serious to explore in as you go in from start to finish in of this level. So from the great presentation going in for the level and the great mix of variety going in of the main level design going in for Fracture Hills make for a level that is a near total package of a level overall in to this series. The only thing that holds Fracture Hills being ranked even higher in the countdown is that I am sad by the fact that the music in the level was recycled of such from Idol Springs but, other then that of note with that slight nitpicking problem that causes Fracture Hills slighty back lower in of the countdown, Fracture Hills was a very nice level thanks to the high amount of personality and fierce and very original gameplay action taken in place of the level. As such earns Fracture Hills enough rewarding a place somewhere in as a level in the Top 10 section of levels in my countdown. Such a wonderful level. 9: Frozen Altars (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we have another classic and favorite level of mine from all three Spyro PS1 games appearing high in of the countdown. Frozen Altars from Spyro 3 was a very unique, creative, original, clever and very fun of a level and one of the most entertaining I have ever played from this classic franchise thanks to in part of how it makes itself stand out unlike regular levels you see out there from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy and how everything plays out different every time you could do a level run over and over again in for Frozen Altars because of how original and large the level is. Not only does this remain as the best Ice / Snow like level out there from the series, but one of the overall best ever made in the series.Easily the biggest highlight coming out of the gameplay that causes me on ranking Frozen Altars high in of the countdown is how unique the player is able to use it. At the very beginning of the level, a fairy grants you power with special ice breath attacks to Spyro that allow you to turn any enemy in the level to ice and as such involves you to use the ice breath ability in unique ways in order to finish the level and this includes freezing an enemy, using them as stepping stones and reaching higher like platforms to reach hard like treasure and Dragon Eggs well hidden of such with the gameplay of the level. This mechanic was very unique to say the least as it allowed more on possibilities on what the player could explore in and do of the level.Another cool unique gameplay element that the player was able to use in for Frozen Altars unlike any other Spyro level out there was using heat ray like weapon buildings in the level to melt away ice walls and crazy snowman blocking your path down in the level. This mechanic never felt cheap or like an afterthought as it alongside with the ice breath attacks you could use on the level added even more on making the level super unique and original more on gameplay mechanics on the player could and could not do in the level. So from the unique style, presentation and gameplay going in for Frozen Altars definitely has this level ranked high in of the countdown and one of the best out there from all of the games in the series. Frozen Altars remains as one of my favorite levels out there from the series, earns a placement in my heart as like other Spyro left to rank in the countdown, are levels that are some of the most enjoyable moments I have played from gaming so far in my life. Amazing level overall and as such earns the placement it deserves for being ranked in as my #9 favorite Spyro PS1 level ever made in of the countdown. 8: Tree Tops (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------If you go and ask any Spyro PS1 fan out there that at least played Spyro 1 out there in of this classic franchise, at least come up with thoughts on and memories on Tree Tops which is known as one of the most challenging, unique and fun levels out there from all three Spyro PS1 games out there and as such for me on as a whole, IMO. As such thanks to how much action there goes in for Tree Tops, easily ranks highly in of my countdown and another level of such that ranks in of the countdown as a true classic of such of a level from any Video Game, I have ever played. Sure, there are a few fans out there where they would state on the challenge gameplay style in of Tree Tops can get to be too frustrating and annoying at times in to play through of this level but, this added on what and why on how Tree Tops is a very nice level of such in this series and as such, earns of what and why on why I love this level so much that it earns a high so placement in of my countdown. Such an amazing level.Easily the best of the such gameplay elements that take in place of Tree Tops that easily rank it high in of the Spyro PS1 levels of such out there from the series is, how unique and challenging it can get and never really that much on a cheap way factor of such for me at least. Tree Tops was the first real challenging and complex level out there from the Spyro PS1 franchise and it's nice to see a level of such out there do something unique and add cool factors of such to the gameplay to the player and for me, this worked so well in for Tree Tops as every fun little challenging element action going in for this level was very unique, smooth and fun to mess around in. You go from often traveling from supercharge platform to platform in of Tree Tops in order to complete the level and testing out your true skills out that you learn in from earlier Spyro 1 levels out there and have the best of time with you can, in of the level and as such added really dynamic and clever level design going in for Tree Tops such as using these skills to take down placed down locked metal treasure chests in the level to reaching at the top to rescue some of the hardest dragons out there from Spyro 1 and to taking down purple gem egg thief hiding at the top of the main like tree structures out there of the level. No other level out there from when I was younger too even now today with being an older gamer, Tree Tops remains as one of the most hardest and original levels out there I have ever played from all three Spyro PS1 games and as such earns on why I love the level so much on in that it's deserving of so being ranked high in of the countdown. Even including non-gameplay elements out there in of the level like the catchy, soft and serious music that plays in for Tree Tops added a nice tone of emotion for me for every single time of such I played through in for this amazing level, adding more charm for the benefit to make Tree Tops an even better level overall in, IMO.Overall, Tree Tops remains as a true classic of a level out there from all three Spyro PS1 games thanks to the very original and hard as nails gameplay elements going in for the level. As such, earns Tree Tops a nice placement in my heart as one of the most enjoyable levels I love playing through in of the Platformer genre in gaming as a whole like so for the remaining seven Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in of the countdown and as such earns Tree Tops this high ranking in the countdown. 7: Aquaria Towers (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Like of what I stated earlier in the countdown, Spyro 2 is not only home to some of the best levels out there I played in from all three games in of the Spyro PS1 Trilogy, but some of the most finest and fun moments I have gone through in playing in so far from gaming and this continues in today as these level remain as some of the most unique and immerse out there from any Video Game I have ever played. This trend continues with the ever so graceful and majestic level that is Aquaria Towers. I love the main water gameplay elements that go in of the level making so for improvement on what and how very fun the levels of such from all three Spyro PS1 games would become in. Thanks to the ever so beautiful nature going in of the level, ranks Aquaria Towers high in of my countdown. The biggest standout highlight that goes for Aquaria Towers that makes up for one of the most entertaining and fun levels I have ever played from the Spyro series is the nice and solid emphasis of unique style of gameplay with swimming in the level. I feel like from pretty much any Video Game franchise I have ever played from, nothing runs more classic and best controlled in for water like levels of such in gaming for what I played in for the Spyro PS1 series.I love the nice style of underwater gameplay in Aquaria Towers because not only did it make up for more unique style on what the Spyro levels could become but, all of the main water elements the player could take part of in for Aquaria Towers like performing tasks taking down the metal sharks in the level with a special water power-up in the level to swimming fully int the level covered in water, never felt boring and forgettable unlike what you see for underwater like sections of such from other Video Game franchises out there. Every little gameplay note that played in for Aquaria Towers flowed extremely well in and never felt annoying on the player. It was just a really enjoyable blast for me to travel in to see and explore fully in of the fantastic water like feel of such in Aquaria Towers. Speaking of the gameplay functions of Aquaria Towers being super fantastic, clever, unique and fun, the main presentation that takes in place of this level is peaceful and unique fitting the style of the level well in and enjoyably unique so to the player as it gives off a soft and cool beat of such that make up for being overall with Aquaria Towers one of the best presentation like levels out there I have ever played from the Spyro PS1 series.Even the optional tasks within the gameplay itself in of Aquaria Towers were clever and unique to the main style of gameplay out there. This includes controlling Hunter's pet manta ray through a fun mini-race course to saving away seashores trapped in towers of the level making you master your full control on the water like gameplay effects you learn in of the level.Overall no matter how many times I go through playing and beating through in of this amazing level in Spyro 2, Aquaria Towers always gives off a soft and cool feel to my heart thanks to the unique calm style you go in of the level to exploring and having fun with of the main gameplay functions of such in Aquaria Towers. A true classic much like most of other great levels out there from the Spyro PS1 games. 6: Ripto's Arena (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------The epic final showdown that you come against for Ripto in of Spyro 2, was not only the best boss like level I have ever played in the series, but one of the finest boss encounters that I have played in from any Video Game out there. Thanks to the highly original gameplay mechanics that go in of the level to the classic serious tone of presentation in the level and to it being fairly challenging to complete through in, ranks this level as a level much so I really enjoyed and hold deep in my heart as something I will never forget in thanks to simply how fun I found it to be much like so for the Top 5 Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in the countdown. Amazing boss level out there from the series on it's own and as such earns this high ranking in the countdown. There are so many things going for Ripto's Arena that I really loved about for the battle with Ripto in this level. This includes the main original gameplay elements that were fun and dynamic to the level. In order to defeat Ripto in this boss like battle for the first two sections in of the fight, you have to dodge around Ripto's attacks which are surprisingly challenging to overcome as Ripto acted extremely smart in part of the battle at all times with from start to finish to the fight. In order of such to defeat him, you charge around the main battlefield of the level collecting up to 3 different Orb colored power-ups to use in order to defeat him. Blue Orbs allowed you to supercharge around the battlefield and take down damage to Ripto in the process, Green Orbs allowed you to fire gas like bombs at Ripto and Red Orbs allowed you access to the Super - Flame power-up to use on Ripto. All of these main gameplay mechanics that took place in of the battle from the nice variety of Orb power-ups the player was able to use in of the level and thanks to Ripto being such a fairly challenging boss to take down in of that to the rest of the boss like battles out there in from all three Spyro PS1 games, make up for easily one of the best levels out there from the series but also remains as one of the finest pure golden achievements of any kind of a level I have ever played in from pretty much every single video game, I currently own and played so far. There was so much to explore on in the level for such a boss encounter with of Ripto's Arena, giving it more charm out there that I didn't come across in for the other boss like levels in from the Spyro PS1 series. This includes the nice action tone taken in place during your battle with Ripto. Every little gameplay of note runs like dynamite and never one time have I felt that the main gameplay would ever get repetitive or boring. It's also worth noting how the main boss fight is broken down into three main fun mechanics and this includes starting off with Ripto first, to battling with Ripto and a metal like Gulp robot to finally battling Ripto in the sky with the entire battlefield covered in lava. The amount of tension in the level, was breathtaking and extremely fun to mess around in of Ripto's Arena overall in.No matter how times I go through in of the level, Ripto's Arena NEVER gets boring to me and as such thanks to so much pure and fun gameplay goodness that strikes from every gameplay element and moment out there I have played in the level, ranks Ripto's Arena definitely somewhere high in the countdown and as earns it this high ranking in my countdown as an award and worth so for it. 5: Spooky Swamp (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Spooky Swamp on all fronts from Spyro 3, was simply a fantastic level and every little slight detail of note that played a role in for the level, was highly original, unique and fun. This includes from ever getting the main mixed platforming sections of the gameplay that is normally seen in unlike other Spyro 3 levels out there in of Spooky Swamp, put the test in for the player. Thanks to high sense amount of style, personality, unique, variety and fun that surrounds in for Spooky Swamp help overall make up for such a wonderful and one of the best levels out there I have ever played in the series. The biggest gameplay design that sticks out in of Spooky Swamp helping it being very unique and one of the most entertaining levels out there in of the Spyro PS1 Trilogy is how everything is changed within the main level design of such in Spooky Swamp. Unlike where you were able to master around freely in the water of other Spyro 3 levels out there, in Spooky Swamp you have to master around on focus less of such on this as the main water is surrounded by piranhas of the level. This did not hinder the level by any means. In of Spooky Swamp, you have to focus your mind and thoughts to the test with the main platforming like levels your learned from earlier Spyro levels out there put to good use in of the level from reaching high covered trees in the level in order to finish the start from start to finish in.From beginning to end of what I have played from Spooky Swamp, the lack of being able to have use on water out there in Spooky Swamp, grew on me as every little detail in of the main level design of such going in for this amazing level, mixed well together in making up for highly original explore main platforming action to explore in of the level and some of the most unique and fun I have ever played in from any Spyro PS1 level out there. This also helped on making the level fairly challenging to play through and I always love a nice challenging level out there from any Video Game.Everything was unique, charming and fresh in of the main gameplay going in for Spooky Swamp, I always had a blast with the level in from start to finish and getting feeling like the level ever gets boring or annoying for me to play through in. Because so, helps to make up for not only one of the best levels out there in from the Spyro PS1 games but, one of the most finest and unique moments I have ever played from a video game and that says from me to tell you on how I feel at least how fantastic the Spyro PS1 games are.I love the high amount of nice style going in of the level as I felt the serious rainy and quiet tone of music that happened and appeared in of Spooky Swamp was very nice and moody for a level like this adding more charm on why I love this level so much. Also, I love how each and every character you come in contact of the level talked in haiku. Added a weird, but cool sense of personality to the characters of such you interact with in of the level.Overall, Spooky Swamp was a glorious, beautiful and amazing level overall in to that from all three Spyro PS1 games thanks to how everything was fresh, unique and most importantly very fun to take around in making for easily one of my best and favorite levels out there from the series. As such, earns Spooky Swamp this high ranking in of the countdown. 4: Haunted Towers (Spyro The Dragon)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Man, Haunted Towers from Spyro 1 was such a lovely and awesome level and ranks easily as one of the best levels out there I have played from from all three Spyro PS1 games. No matter how old of a game Spyro 1 gets, this of such level brings back great memories of the like for me playing through in from start to finish of Haunted Towers. I loved every moment of gameplay moment that took place in of Haunted Towers from the high and fast action the player is able to use in of the level to using the gameplay of such in so many unique and fun ways like using fairy magic to take down blocked paths in your way and to enjoyable, catchy and unique presentation that goes in of the level which is seen as being just as good as the main gameplay concepts that take place in of Haunted Towers. Not only is Haunted Towers THE best level out there of such from Spyro 1, but one of the best out there in the series as a whole. Such a fantastic level.Haunted Towers ranks this high in of the countdown simply because of how enjoyably unique and catchy the main gameplay can get in of the level. There are so many things to take in part of Haunted Towers, that at times it can be overwhelming. From placing around on really mastering the supercharge to reach a challenging section of such in the level in order to fully finish it to focusing fully on timing skills down with magic like skills with the help of fairy magic Spyro uses in of the level and so on and so forth. Even for a Spyro 1 level, I do not recall myself ever feeling like anything would get boring and tedious to take in part of the level thanks to also of how large the level is and how unique and sometimes hard it can be in order to collect every little thing of note in of Haunted Towers. This in such overall makes up for a level that can hold it's own in terms of entertainment out there to any Spyro PS1 level out there, IMO. Moving away from gameplay, I love the nice style of presentation of art going in of Haunted Towers. From the awesome and calming nature of music that plays in of the level to the variety of such of enemies you come in contact in of the main design out there in Haunted Towers, makes up for adding some serious charm out there. Also, I really am sucker for falling in love with magic like levels of such like Haunted Towers, but who doesn't? In fact with other then of my #1 Spyro PS1 level there is left to reveal in the countdown, Haunted Towers had the best presentation out there I loved from any Spyro level out there in this classic trilogy. Stewart Copeland and Insomniac helped create ideas well in of Haunted Towers, that were very unique and enjoyable that remains close to in of my childhood as a gamer growing up of such with of Spyro 1 and as such make up the amazing level that is Haunted Towers.Overall, Haunted Towers is a level that is a complete packing much like so there is of the the final Top 3 Spyro PS1/PSX levels there are left to rank in of the countdown. From the amazing gameplay in the level to the peacefully and catchy like nature of the level and to how challenging the level can be at certain times in of the level and always of such in unique ways and never in cheap ways unlike of other Spyro levels out there, make up for Haunted Towers being such a amazing level, IMO. Another true and great level out there from all three Spyro PS1 games that I will hold true in of my life that will never be forgotten in and such earns this high placement well in of my countdown. 3: Metropolis (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Another amazing level we have here and as such earns this high ranking in of my countdown. Each and every moment I go through in to play in for Spyro 2 no matter how times I beat through the game, I always find myself to have a very fun and enjoyable time playing through of Metropolis thanks to it the level having so much creative style, gameplay, charm and personality going in of it. Another classic of a level in from the Spyro series that holds dearly to my heart that I will never forget as a gamer thanks to me having so much fun with it.The strength that goes in for Metropolis easily being one of the finest and best levels out there from all three Spyro PS1 games is in how many very fun and unique ways the gameplay goes in of the level in order for the player to fully complete it. This includes head-bashing yourself into platforms like elevators to advance yourself more in depth of even more action to explore in of Metropolis such as getting full use on the first ever Supercharge and Superfly combo power-up in the level which added a nice amount of unique style near the final sections of the level as I really loved exploring down searching and carefully the gems that were in around the planet like structures in the level.Speaking of more gameplay elements that go in for Metropolis, I found the Orb like games in of the level just as creative, fresh and fun to mess around with such as using the so power-up I stated in the write-up to good use with a mixture of skill you learn from it and take down flying saucer like enemies that were often challenging and fun to mess around with. I love levels like Metropolis that allow access for the player to explore so much action in of the level such as finishing up collecting anything missing in the level he/she missed out on to killing off every single enemy in of the level, Metropolis was so unique and original that I again, never got tired of the level and remains as a true classic out there as just like Skelos Badlands and Fireworks Factory which are the last two levels left to rank, are some of the most enjoyable and fun moments I go through in for a level in any game I played in my life.Moving away from the gameplay is the fantastic sense of imagination and charm in the level. There was so much imagination even in the presentation of Metropolis where it always helps the player get on their feet and have a fun time with the level from start to finish with thanks to the ever so full calm, catchy and peaceful the music and so of other presentation matters go for Metropolis.Another total package level overall to not only to the Spyro PS1 games but, to gaming in general and it shows on how sadly in compared to today's games where games in the platformer genre are getting less unique and fun out there but, this isn't the case with Spyro 1, 2 and 3 which is saying on a whole how my favorite genre in gaming is going downhill with hardly much going for it keeping it fresh and fun. Moving away, Metropolis was an amazing level on all fronts and as such thanks to how much fun and classic memories it brings for me that I still love to playing in for Spyro 2 from the near past decade, earns this level easily a spot in my Top 3 favorite Spyro PS1 levels overall in as the best in the countdown. Such a nice level. 2: Fireworks Factory (Spyro: Year of the Dragon) ------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------Coming in at second place out of the many 101 Spyro PS1 levels out there in my countdown, comes another true classic gem and fantastic level with of Fireworks Factory from Spyro 3. I loved each and every single thing that took place in of the level from the awesome bad you know what looking design that flows in of the main level design of Fireworks Factory to the amazing and highly clever and original gameplay standards the player has use in of the level and so on and so forth, easily makes up overall for what overall in for Fireworks Factory, a true majestic piece of art and next to the #1 Spyro PS1 level left to rank in the countdown, ranks in as one of the finest and most fun elements I love to play through from pretty much every single Video Game, I played in my entire life. There have been multiple times out there where I from back when I was younger to still today, where I sometimes want to go through and playing through Spyro 3 once more just because I want to relive playing through the amount of style and fun that goes in for Fireworks Factory and that accounts for so many levels out there from Spyro 3.The first main overall gameplay elements that comes in contact for the player to use in of the level is nailing down patience and skill down in order to finish down completing Fireworks Factory from start to finish in and this involves the ever so fairly challenging regular ninja, ninja with guns and byg rhynoc dynamite bomb enemies in the level. These enemies make up for helping adding charm to the level thanks to how smart, unique and hard they would interact with to the player well in of the level but to the main level overall in of the main level design going for it. I love challenging and very unique levels of such that involve a variety of gameplay styles going in them and Fireworks Factory is home to so much of such in of it making up for adding more points to an already great and classic of a level that is Fireworks Factory, IMO. This includes using cannon like structures in of the level in part to explore every little nook and cranny in of the main level design going in for Fireworks Factory and this worked well along with other multiple other gameplay elements that I haven't even discussed on yet making for a level that I hardly see any Spyro PS1 fan at least ever getting bored with thanks to so much action and pure golden fun go in of the main level overall as.The side-quest Dragon Egg mini-games of Fireworks Factory were just as highly unique and fun as the main level design going in from Fireworks Factory. This includes taking in part of the most challenging but creative mini-game in of Spyro 3 controlling Agent 9 in a Doom inspired section of the level with Handel in a Ninja base center in order to save and collect two Dragon Eggs to taking down two flying dragons that roam the level in order to kill involve the use of the Supercharge and Superfly power-up combo that was unique and challenging of take in part of in. Amazing fun and variety for the player to have with in of Fireworks Factory.I could go on and on telling you even more on how much I felt how enjoyable, classic, nostalgic and fun Fireworks Factory was from Spyro 3 to but overall as such as a whole, Fireworks Factory was a very classic level from the Spyro series that holds well to my heart that I will never forget. 1: Skelos Badlands (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage)------------------------------------------------------------------------Gameplay Footage: ------------------------------------------------------------------------At long last, we have finally arrived at the cream of the crop of the countdown with my personal favorite level out there on the countdown at the #1 spot, Skelos Badlands from Spyro 2 which is not only my favorite Spyro PS1 level ever made but, at even times up there at as the most entertaining fun I have ever played for any type of level out there from any Video Game, I have ever played.I LOVED everything in of this level and everything of the level still hold well now today with so many memories of being fantastic and glorious to play through for me in Spyro 2 just to play in of Skelos Badlands. Regardless of what happens, nothing and I mean nothing can hold a candle to Skelos Badlands as my favorite level out there from the Spyro PS1 Trilogy. Like I stated earlier, I loved everything that happened in control for the player in of Skelos Badlands. I even loved how the fun details on how unique Insomniac had the gems hidden in of the main level design of such in Skelos Badlands to collect. To put it up short and simple, every little thing within of the main gameplay design of the level should offer some form of entertaining of the like out there to any Spyro PS1 fan out there and not only that, the main gameplay was simply stunning out there and offered some of the most fun I have ever played from a Spyro PS1 level making up for ranking Skelos Badlands as the best Spyro PS1 level ever made. This includes the main invincible lava protection power-up the player has access to in of Skelos Badlands and it was a blast for me to interact in every little detail there was to explore in of the main level design of Skelos Badlands such as briefly traveling across the lava safety and collecting gems in the process and having a better time aiming away at the bat yellow enemies in the level with better accuracy. While it may seem like the lava gameplay within of Skelos Badlands would get boring, it never did and get annoying to me and it was brought to life simply because how unique and fresh amount of style that appeared in the level overall in and helped the standard on helping to bring more future Spyro 2 & 3 levels to follow, with how special and enjoyable levels can be thanks to a fresh and unique style of the gameplay standing out in the level and this is thanks so much by the highly entertaining Skelos Badlands level. The amount of other great details that were in of Skelos Badlands from the clever and well designed platforming action in of the level to how challenging it can be to how fairly large of the level is and how enjoyable it can be to explore large like levels out there in the series and being extremely unique and important of such of a level out there to the series makes up for Skelos Badlands easily being the best Spyro PS1 level out there I have ever played and stands out as the finest and highest amount of fun I have ever played at a certain time out there for one certain section from any Video Game ever game.No matter if I do a re-ranking anytime soon and even for me as a gamer when I was playing through of Spyro 2 for the firs few times, nothing will change with Skelos Badlands being highly entertaining, fun and classical to me. Overall, nothing more then with Skelos Badlands being an outstanding fun level out there in of Spyro 2 and as earns the spot as the #1 best Spyro PS1 level EVER MADE, IMO.
