She found herself lusting after Meyo Ranjea, a male Deltan who worked for Delta's Planetary Security and was on board during a DTI mission around Stardate 49572.0. Luckily, she managed to keep her feelings mostly in check, although she did let slip to Ranjea about the Temporal Cold War during a brief period of uncontrollable loquaciousness. By 2382, Petersen had been promoted to commander and served as science officer aboard the Nova-class USS Everett, which was also attached to the DTI. In a temporary assignment from the Everett, Commander Petersen worked with DTI agents Meyo Ranjea and Teresa Garcia to unlock the Axis of Time. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock)
