Lieutenant-Colonel Samuel Boyle (c.1879-10 December 1964) was an army officer and local politician. Boyle held a commission in the Territorial Force, and was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry in 1916 during World War One. Following the war he entered politics as a member of the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea. He served six successive terms as Mayor of Chelsea from 1931-37. He was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for the County of London in 1937. In the New Years Honours 1939 he was awarded the CBE "for public services in Chelsea".
