No doubt exists that he would have liked to become President. In fact, he outlines what his administration would have been like in his book My First Days in the White House, published posthumously in OTL. His slogan, "Every Man a King" and his Share Our Wealth program epitomized his socialist views. Given the climate of Depression-era America, he probably would have won the Presidency if he had the chance.

Although he will try to avoid using his own bias in writing this timeline , his worldview will probably affect some elements of the story. (i.e., the effects of socialism, etc.)
