In December of 2009, the Greater Korean Republic annexed the island nation of Japan. The annexation was the beginning of the formation of the Greater Korean Republic, since the republic orginated from the Korean Peninsula and Sang Isuel wanted to expand its influence out toward the Pacific - and Japan in particular. On December 1, the 1st Infantry Corp of the Greater Korean Army landed along the eastern coastline of Japan, and began to occupy the coastline. The Japanese Self-Defense Force, which was disorganized with the fall of major military bases country-wide led to the complete surrender of the military. The Greater Korean Army entered Tokyo on January 2 of 2010; and Isuel traveled to Tokyo to sign the Treaty of Unification.
