After Link obtains the Wood Heart rations during the quest for the Great Spin Attack, the Old Wayfarer leaves his hut on Bannan Island and sets out on the S.S. Wayfarer. Upon finding the ship, Link gives the Old Wayfarer the Wood Heart, and he sends Link back to his hut to retrieve the final prize.
