Crystal Wave Technology was developed by the people of Atlantis. They used it to power many devices such as Crystal Wave Ovens and Atlantean Gliders but it was more often used to power weapons. King Pentheus used the technology to create a giant "ray gun" with which he could destroy ships at sea before they landed at Atlantis. Crystal Wave Technology eventually led to the destruction of Atlantis. Crystals were mined so extensively on the island that the entire mass collapsed in on itself and sank into the sea.
