The Siege of Wayland was the bloodiest and longest series of battles in the Second Mandalorian Wars, taking place over three months and five seperate battles. It took place on the Republic fortress world of Wayland. In a last ditch effort to criple the Republic fleet -- and after the Battle of Onderon, which cost the Mandalorians greatly -- they decided to attack a heavily fortified world near Mandalore. Each side took heavy losses in both life and ships.
