The Eastern Orthodox Committee on Scouting was one of the first cross-jurisdictional ventures of the Orthodox Churches in North America. It was created in 1960 by the Standing Conference of Orthodox Bishops in the Americas, (SCOBA) to have Scouting become a part of the youth programs of local churches in North America.
