Hercules(VVM122) was born ON November 20, 2005 in the Vivian. His mother was Rhian and his father was Jim Bob. His litter-mates were his four sisters Odysseus(VVF121), Icarus(VVF123), Calypso(VVF124) and Aphrodite(VVF125). They survived their first few years in the group. Rhian and Jim Bob kept producing litter after litter and Hercules started to help out with the new pups and sentery duties. Like all adult males Hercules started to rove and visted nearby mobs including the Whiskers where uncle Zaphod was the long-term dominant male. The Vivian were a big strong groups, so in case of a groups split researchers often have more than one collared individual in a large group such as the Vivian, because of this a collar was placed on his sister Odysseus. Hercules and his sisters were evicted a few times, but managed to make it back into the group. Tuberculosis struck the group killing his father in April 2007. The disease started to spread through the group and Hercules became infected and died on May 21, 2007.
