- Tanay thought that KLBJ meant Lyndon B. Johnson, whose presidential library was in Austin, Texas, so he went with D and got it right.
Chris Harrison noted that the library was originally owned by Johnson's family.
- Tanay did not think it was B and D, and he has never heard the words of the other two. However, he was trying to avoid walking away, so he thought about the question for a while. He guessed C, but the correct answer was A.
- Tanay ruled out D, thinking that Tobacconists does not make sense. He also eliminated A. He was not sure if Jackhammers have pipes. He decided to ask the audience and 86% of them went with B: Motorcyclists. Tanay went with the audience, who were right.
- Tanay has heard this in the news and knew that A, B and C were all elements, while D was not. He went with that, which was right.
