| - "There is a thin line between what's good and what is evil. The line between them is often so blurred that we cannot understand our path in this life. Is our sole purpose to do only what we were created to do? Is our destiny limited to that distant abyss of death? Or do we do what we deem correct and righteous?... In the end, all I know is that the answers never come easy... It's supposed to be simple, but its not." -Alpha-13 Ember A13 Ember was an Alpha-class ARC commander of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, the Galaxy-wide war between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Ember was in command of the Third Legion, an elite unit of self-trained troopers in the Grand Army of the Republic, that fought in some of the most dangerous battles in the Outer Rim. Alpha-13 "Ember" served under the command of Jedi Generals Kaja Tallan and Valena Renn. He was a free-thinking, motivated, honorable and aggressive soldier, and would not let up against his enemies. Though he was fiercely loyal to the Republic and his men, Ember would become estranged with the Republic as his part in the war grew increasingly dark and bloody. He proved capable of questioning his superiors when he believed they were not improving the situation, and sometimes committed outright disobedience when his conscience demanded it. However, although some Jedi looked upon it with suspicion, others including Generals Renn, Tallan and Skywalker welcomed it gave him a long leash, allowing him to act as a a war advisor during many battles. However, his independence and unpredictable nature would cause him to eventually disobey the most infamous command of the Clone Wars- Order 66. Ember was gifted at fighting and leading on the battlefield from frontal assault attacks to leading reconnaissance missions, squad-assigned attacks, one-man missions behind enemy lines, and also initiating search and rescue operations. He is a jack of all trades and can use anything from a force pike, vibroblade, lightsaber, electrostaff to all manner of blasters.
