The Musical Instrument Merchant is an unnamed character that appears in the comic book and animated versions of "The Smurfs And The Magic Flute". He first appeared at The King's castle in an attempt to sell Peewit his wares, but because The King and Johan intercepted him first, they found out what he was selling, which was musical instruments, and promptly sent him away before Peewit showed up. However, in their haste to get rid of him, the merchant dropped a six-holed flute which turned out to be a magic flute that the Smurfs created. He was last seen at a tavern where Matthew McCreep found out about the flute from him and proceeded toward the castle to get his hands on the flute.
