(TOS novel: The Covenant of the Crown) On reference stardate 2/0208, the Normandy was part of a small detachment of destroyers that was sent into an uncontrolled area near the Romulan Neutral Zone. When Starfleet failed to establish contact with the task force they dispatched a rescue fleet to the region but was unable to locate anything but a damaged warp nacelle belonging to the USS Alesia.
