| - In Mass Effect: Universe, the Collector Generals return as the elite commanders of the armies in the game. They are among the most powerful individual units in the game, more powerful than Husks, and about on par with the strength and resilience of units, and . However, they are only fought several times, and have no indication of being controlled by any Reaper, and appear to have minds of their own. In Mass Effect: Universe, they are the only Collectors capable of being controlled by a Reaper through their implants. Whether the normal Collector footsoldiers are no longer capable of being possessed, or are simply different types of Collectors, is unknown, but when possessed by a Reaper, the Generals fly into the air, emit an immensely powerful burst of energy (that will kill the player instantaneously if they are inside the radius), and they glow bright gold when emit flames, and their biotic attacks are much more powerful and they utter an ear splitting 'wailing' noise. Since it is not Harbinger controlling them (It could be possibly, but it is assumed to be general knowledge that it is just nearby random Reapers [possibly Dark Energy or Downfall...] controlling them), there is no booming voice boasting that they are "assuming direct control", only a growling or snarling sound heard on the other end, which ends when the energy blasts stop. They have no weaknesses, and are extremely resilient to all warfare tiers, biotics, tech, and combat.
