USS Raeo (SP-588) was a United States Navy patrol vessel in commission from 1917 to 1919. Raeo was built as a private motorboat of the same name by the City Island Shipbuilding Company at City Island in the Bronx, New York, in 1908. In 1917, the U.S. Navy purchased her from W. Schall of New York City for use as a section patrol boat during World War I. She was commissioned as USS Raeo (SP-588) on 19 May 1917. Assigned to the 2nd Naval District in southern New England and based at Newport, Rhode Island, Raeo carried out patrols for the rest of World War I and into 1919.
