A foo-twitter was a floating device used to distract territorial creatures. Though Callista Ming and her family originally used one to distract wystohs while working in the sea of Chadra on Chad, she would later help Luke Skywalker make one on the Eye of Palpatine in order to distract a group of Gamorreans who were on the ship. The device made noises and sounds to distract whatever type of creature it was supposed to scare off, allowing the creator safety from them.
