Though the Sunrunners were not among the oldest families on Taris, they produced a number of influential Tarisian politicians, military leaders, and public figures, including a number of Force-sensitive members. The title was hereditary through the rule of absolute primogeniture, meaning that the eldest child of the peer would inherit the title, regardless of gender. Though the ancestral seat did not survive the Destruction of Taris by Darth Malak, the title and House continued through the Jedi Apostate, Suri Sunrunner.
