Meanwhile, the race is on to retrieve Ampersand. Both the Y threesome and the ninja Toyota (working for the mysterious "Dr. M"), want to get to the capuchin first. The Y threesome trick the theater troupe into giving Ampersand back, but Toyota vows to come back for the monkey another day.

| - * A poster for the play performed in this issue notes Cayce's last name as Thomas. However, in issue #53, the comic she wrote lists her full name as Cayce B. Sheldon. Presumably, Vaughan overlooked this minor detail and invented a different last name for her in the later story. This is one of the rare examples of a continuity error, though a very minor one, in the series.
