Its purpose is to provide a challenge to the toughest of trainers, with the best and brightest trainers from all over the world battling each other to see who is the strongest. The Death Trials is kept well hidden from the rest of the world as it is a ruthless place to trainers unfamiliar to the power levels of some of the strongest trainers in the world. It is run by Rex, a master at using legendary Pokémon. Additionally, a good amount of Pokémon trainers who participate in the tournaments make use of powerful legendary Pokémon. Some well-known trainers who visit the tournament include Red, Brandon, Ray, Olivia, and Alisyn.
