The 1970–71 Division 2 season was the second tier of ice hockey in Sweden for 1970–71. The league consisted of 80 teams, divided into eight geographical groups of 10 teams apiece. The eight group winners continued to a promotion qualifier, which resulted in Nacka SK, IF Tunabro, Surahammar IF, and KB Karlskoga being promoted to Division 1 for the 1971–72 season.
