The Canadian Cycle Manufacturing Company (CCM) was a leading manfacturer of hockey skates. It donated a trophy to be competed for by variuos senior teams in the Maritime provinces of Canada. The object was to raise hockey awareness in the region. THe teams played in 1931 in November and December. After that they played in various leagues during the regular season. All games were played at Charlottetown, Halifax, and Moncton which were the only cities with artificial ice.
