On the night of the autumnal equinox, the Garou gather together in moot around a huge bonfire (except in some urban Caerns) with the trophies of their battles for the past year. The Galliards then gather to tell the stories associated with those trophies; Garou of other auspices who have particularly distinguished themselves may be given the honor of beginning the tale of their own deeds. The Moot starts at sundown and ends just before dawn, when the Ritemaster invokes Luna one final time, dedicating the deeds of the previous year to Her, her brother Helios, and to her sister Gaia. Just as dawn breaks, the Garou hurl the trophies into the bonfire as a sign of faith that they will take many more in the year to come.
