Sea Canthller (a play on coelacanth) is the "mini-boss" of Bubble Crab's stage in Mega Man X2. Destroying it is optional, but it will make the level easier if you do. It can fire up to three missiles out of the ports on its back and if X gets caught in its search light, the Canthller will fire a wide sweeping laserbeam from the crystal lens on its underside. It is susceptible to Sonic Slicer, which can cut off its fins.
