Trumont "Tru" Story (d. 1 December 2009) was a member of the Rollin' 60s Crips gang in Los Angeles. He was an upper level enforcer, comparable to a sergeant at arms, according to detective Jordy Gant. He lived with Gail Briscoe and fathered a child with her. In 1996, he ordered a hit on Walter Regis and supplied a Beretta model 92 to Rufus Coleman to carry out the murder. However, someone higher up gave the order to Story.

Story served a five-year prison term at Pelican Bay State Prison from 1997-2002 on an aggravated battery conviction. He was later shot and killed in December of 2009. Briscoe and their child continued to live in the same house that they had shared with Story.
