London Police Constable Cedric Mitchell, a veteran of the recent war, was walking his beat near Westminster Abbey in December 1946 when a Werewolf drove a truck-bomb into the building and leveled it. Mitchell was knocked to the ground, but not seriously injured by the blast. An American tourist was not so lucky. Mitchell learned from a priest who arrived on the scene that St. Paul's Cathedral had also been leveled.
