  • The National Postal Service (NPS), (also known as The Post, National Mail or the Postal Service), is a independent government agency responsible for the distribution and management of mail and post. The NPS was formed after the National Communications Agency was dissolved into its sub agencies under the Postal and Communications Reform Act 1945. This gave the agency far more control over its actions. The postal service is also the largest government agency employer in the republic with a payroll of about 14,375,000. Before 1980 the postal service only had about 4,000,000 employees but after the Postal Competition Act which banned any other postal service a huge influx of people needing post services caused employment to sky rocket. The NPS also operates the largest fleet of vehicle in the republic just behind the military. The agency has been criticised by staunch capitalists because of the decision to only allow one postal service. This has proven to be the cause of large spending increases in the 1980 budget and some after that. Restrictions are beginning to be released by the government on the postal service and United Argnorian Post has announced plans to open in the area if the postal service limitations are removed.
