The Hypotenuse was a modified Venator-class Star Destroyer with a large ion cannon mounted on the inside of the hull, that fired out from a cut opening in the front of the ship. It was part of the First Venator Trinity used by the New Republic Clone Army during the Second Clone War and Next Sith War. It was often used as a tactical weapon to temporarily disable planetary shields with its ion cannon.
