  • Spirit Particles appeared in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, replacing gems when an enemy is defeated. Spirit particles are released upon defeating an enemy, and once released, will fly to a powerup gate in the level. To find out the number of spirit particles you need to activate a powerup, simply visit the powerup, and if more particles are needed, the total number needed will be shown in between the the gate. The current number of spirit particles released is shown on the front cover of the Guidebook or by walking through an inactive powerup gate. Some spirit particles (such as the Colossus Yeti and the Draclets) are never seen but are included in the enemy count in the Guidebook.
