After Malgus and his forces ultimately proved successful in destroying their foes, Giffis survived and returned to Coruscant to continue her training.

Following the signing of the treaty on Coruscant, Giffis was among the surviving the Jedi that retreated from the planet during a sacking and took up residence on their ancestral homeworld, Tython. As the Cold War began, Giffis was made into a Jedi Master and earned a seat on the Jedi High Council.
