Here to Mars is the fourth song from Coheed and Cambria's 2015 album The Color Before the Sun. Like the rest of the tracks on this album, this song exists outside of The Amory Wars canon, and is instead a love song written by singer Claudio Sanchez to his wife. After having collaborated with her on many projects in the past, Claudio recognized that he was now collaborating with her on their lives, and this song was meant to encompass that feeling. Explaining the sound of the song, Claudio detailed, "I wanted the song to feel epic and explosive, and distant like a journey. Some people might get literal with it and say, ‘You only love your wife to Mars? But that’s only the neighboring planet of our solar system – it’s not really that far away!’ But to me, Mars might as well be the other end
