At first, Stan wouldn't let Worsley into the house which he denied was infested with vermin, but Worsley merely barged past him as it was his duty to investigate. In his report to the Town Hall, Worsley listed mice and cockroaches in the house and arranged for it to be fumigated the next day. Stan's worry now was that Hilda would be back by then!
