The Nighthoot is a large, nocturnal carnivore that appears in Might and Magic: The Dreamwright. When Diligence's caravan first meets Hitch, Breitling warns the others that the soldiers think a nighthoot has weaved its dinner circle around the area, meaning that it's about to strike, and he wants them all to leave before it does. A few minutes later, while they're arguing about whether to allow Hitch and the unconscious Jassad Attqua to travel with them, they hear a mournful, hornlike call from the forest, followed by a strange, rapid clacking noise. Since Pomponderant refuses to leave either of them behind, the rest agree with him in order to get out of there quickly.

None of the characters see the nighthoot, so there's no description of the beast.
