| - Darrell Dake is a former NASCAR driver from Cedar Rapids, IA. He competed in four Nextel Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten.
Dake debuted in 1960, racing at Daytona. Starting 12th in the field of forty in the Daytona 500 qualifier event , Dake completed every lap in the race and drove to a stunning 6th place effort. That allowed Dake to easily make the Daytona 500, where he drove to another solid effort: 16th.
The other two races came in 1961, when Dake again returned to Daytona 500. His qualifier event, though, resulted in a 33rd place effort, part of a disappointing Speedweeks that left Dake 46th in the Daytona 500.
