Yashichirō Takahashi(高橋 弥七郎Takahashi Yashichirō) is the author of the Shakugan no Shana light novels and, overall, the creator of the franchise. His has written two other series for Dengeki Bunko, A/B Extreme, which received an Honorable mention in the 8th Dengeki Novel Prize, and Kanae no Hoshi, which he started after the conclusion of Shakugan no Shana. He is a fan of tokusatsu hero TV shows, and in most of his works, he includes references to the 1996 tokusatsu show, Choukou Senshi Changéríon.
