Sonic has learned from the Kintobor Computer that a new Badnik is causing havoc in the Marble Garden Zone. Sonic's visit to the Floating Island via the Hyper-Spring is almost compromised when Amy Rose tags along, but her crossbow comes in handy. They're then forced to deal with the Combinik, eventually destroying it in a mud pit. As they fly home on Tails' Bi-plane, Knuckles the Echidna emerges a moment too late.
