Asahina's Path was the road that connected Jukami Mura (CN17) to Shinden Asahina (CN18). This highway was frequently traveled by Asahina himself in his final days. Legend had it that the old shugenja took his last steps along this road after returning from a final pilgrimage to Asahina Seido in the Isawa lands. The ground where he was said to have died was just north of Shinden Asahina and had a small roadside shrine dedicated to his memory.
