Synopsis
| - Circa probably 1938-Sep: The Black Ace has to retrieve the stolen plans to the X-Beam from two crooks , who murdered Cravin, and are trying to sell the plans to Russia or Japan. Playing an absolutely implausible hunch, Black Ace & Batu travel to Hong Kong, arriving there ahead of Duke & Dynamo. Ace tricks these tools into trying to double-cross the Japanese, which is SUCH a bad idea, and works out very badly for them. Along the way Batu gets bullet-wounded, but he'll be back in action soon. In the end, the two crooks turn on each other and end up locked in a death struggle as they fall from their plane. Wrap-up scene is again set in Black X's favorite Washington restaurant.
- While Hazzard wastes no time in adding a flying device to the stolen robot, Commissioner Hunt is very displeased that this robot was on the loose after he had ordered it destroyed. Hunt is in the process of ordering Hazzard to turn the robot over to him when a news flash concerning a kidnapping interrupts the demand. Hazzard sees a chance to prove Bozo's worth, and uses the robot to capture the kidnapper's plane, thus proving the value of the robot in crime fighting, especially since Hunt liked the idea that he could use Hazzard's services at no expense to taxpayers.
- Garrick Spade and the Spade Gang kidnap Hans Van Dorn, a scientist who has discovered the secret of invisibility, in "a new phosphorescent chemical." The scientist is killed but, not before entrusting his secret to Kent Thurston, who vows to fight for the good of society as the Invisible Hood.

Notes
| - * Black X was briefly renamed "Black Ace" when his feature moved to Smash Comics, but the renaming didn't stick.
* Black X's sidekick Batu can fly airplanes, but Batu can't fly airplanes and do combat telepathy at the same time, while wounded.
* With this issue, Kent Thurston's feature is now titled "Invisible Justice," but the hero himself was still, and always would be, called the "Invisible Hood."
* Kent Thurston kills gang leader Garrick Spade, by shooting him with his gun.
