The monkeys of Forest Hills live in fear of the greedy Kid Cruel and his small army of Coconuts Badniks. Every child in the village has been loaded into a Coconuts and the village is being forced to hand over every scrap of gold from their mines. Sonic is called in, along with Tails and Porker and they are soon attacked by the monkey Badniks. Before Sonic can let loose however, Kid Cruel shows up to tell Sonic about the Badniks' secret weapon: a bomb attached to each one while will explode upon the slightest impact. While Cruel informs Dr Robotnik of his success, Sonic springs into action, removing the bombs and freeing the kids from their Badnik shells. The hedgehog is able to get far away enough for the bombs to go off without hurting anyone but him. He quickly attacks Kid Cruel himself,
